It’s never easy on days like that with high winds is it! In the past I have found myself concentrating more on the patterns created in the lakes on days like that. I’ve got some very decent photos where the water has taken on a blue/white/black wavey appearance due to the blue sky, white clouds and the wind causing small waves. I was lucky enough to have a few swans in the scene as well which made it even better. Is focus stacking something that is easy to do in Lightroom?
Good call--it can be really neat when the wind whips the water up, and I could have played with some of the motion of the plants via long exposures. Maybe worth a try next time! And unfortunately no, LR doesn't currently do focus stacking. If they would add that, exposure stacking for stars/fireflies, and AI-generative fill, I don't think I'd need any other software! (Currently I use Zerene Stacker when I want to do focus stacking, though it can also be done as merged layers in Photoshop.)
