Occasionally, we find ourselves questioning our sanity, and for those not blessed with this angling obsession, there is no question about it. However, even with temperatures of -7oC, there is no place we’d rather be than up to our waist in a freezing river.
In truth, once temperatures reach as low as this, persuading even a Grayling to feed confidently can be a challenge. Nevertheless, if a 3lber is ever to grace our net, the chances to hit the river must be taken whenever possible, and what a day like this lacks in comfort, it certainly makes up for in atmosphere and stunning scenes, epitomic of winter Grayling fishing.
