If we extinguished the fire in flight and there is no any fire warnings I go the the nearest suitable alternate nevertheless, because it could be the repetitive inflammation. So, safety first.
By the way, it’s nice to mention the importance of controlling the Load Limit line, during ground operations - not to exceed it. The reason is the same - to allow fire bottles to spray out effectively and extinguish a fire
@@Captain_SQ Thanks for the response. Yes I have read the Valujet 592 case study. I remember the fire came towards cabin eventhough the cargo compartment of that DC9 was fire proof. The fire was fueled by 140 something expired PSU O2 generators which were inaccurately loaded and labeled thinking those were empty O2 canisters.
