It pissed me off so much watching him do this shit here and in Toronto and then listening to the YES announcers defend him and act like the umpires were going rogue or something. The umps are in complete control of the game and there’s no rule that says you have to verbally say something to get thrown out. Then again, I hate Gardner’s obnoxious/arrogant ass, so I’m a little biased. I think he’s the most overrated yankee of all time. Mediocre player who carries himself as if he’s a superstar, because the announcers and his teammates glamorize and make him out to be a star and this great leader, building up his ego. His response to the praise and opportunity to be a leader is the complete opposite of what the Yankees are about. Funny how he was so quiet and low key for the most part while Jeter was there. Literally the next year after Jeter retired is when he started this cocky, loudmouth, boastful bullshit 24/7. The Captain would never let half his shit fly under his watch and clearly didn’t. And I feel like it’s a shame because the team is so young they don’t know any better and guys like Judge buy into this mediocre players bullshit and feed into it. He’s fucking toxic to that clubhouse and his attitude rubs off on all of this phenomenal talent that has multiple championship potential but I worry may never get there because of the immaturity encouraged and brought on by their “leader” Gardner. The worst part is they’re probably gonna make a fucking Yankeeography about the idiot when his career ends. 🤦🏻‍♂️
