This hurts so bad. My wonderful brother-in-law got repeated concussions playing pro rugby, retired early, then suddenly killed himself. He only ever turned his pain onto himself, never hurt a fly. These injuries need to STOP! How can we fix these games so that loved ones don't have uncontrollable urges to hurt themselves and others? RIP Aaron and fly high my bro H.

I think he really wanted to end it all. This was just something else that was going to come of his suicide. The whole gay thing the prosecutors were going to try to use came out in an interview the day before is what really pushed him. Sad story all the way around. Christopher Adams Not going to happen. There was a grievance settlement reached in 2014 by both parties pertaining to hernandez contract. It was settled out of court. The family might be able to collect off of his Nfl pension being in the league for minimal of 3 yrs, will be up to a judge to decide and it leans in favor of the patriots due to the language in the CBA

But from what I hear, Hernandez is not owed any money because he forfeited his salary once he was arrested on the murder charge (not the conviction) of killing Odin Lloyd, according to the Patriots and NFL. Also, why would he take his life if he was just acquitted of a double murder and was set to appeal the Odin Lloyd conviction? It's all very convoluted, but interesting I will admit.

You do realize he never wrote down "I'm committing suicide so you can collect the money" so his girlfriend will get the rest of the money owed to him. "I told you what was coming indirectly!" can mean ANYTHING and while it is kind of obvious what that means, a good lawyer can fight that because after all you need evidence and statements from others to support that. Hernandez is no longer here and his girlfriend can just lie and say he meant so and so and not that he would commit suicide for the loophole. After that, what can a judge do? Just say screw that I know you did it even though everyone else is telling me "I told you indirectly" meant so and so and not suicide? Screw that he loses. Nope, cant do that.

AGAIN you do know what a settlement is? A settlement is when both party's reach an agreement usually out of court. This was done back in 2014 for that 6 million. Perhaps they settled out of court for 3 million of the 6 million. I dont know. The family can go after the NFL pension but NOT the 6 million from his contract. I deal with settlements all the time in my profession.

he tried to do right for a moment . alot of selfish decisions were made on behalf of mr. Hernandez no doubt . its never fair to kill someone . .. im just giving him some credit for thinking about the people who cared about him. But still every man must account for their own sin and God judges each man according to his own sin .
