theo wainwright It’s funny because every time Lance tries to learn a new trick he thinks that going slow will save his life better because he’s afraid of going fast but it’s actually way lot better to do tricks going fast. Lance knows that in skateboarding there’s falling and he’s just afraid that he might fall but he still does progress. I find that whenever you try a new trick in skateboarding you should not be scared because if you’re scared you will have a hard time learning new tricks. Skateboarding is dangerous and any trick you do on flat or on any obstacle or off any stairs there’s falling and there’s no one trick that is harder since all those skateboard tricks are hard. It can happen if you landed this trick like yesterday or last week or a long time ago but you try it again and you can’t land it now. If you try to do tricks on a ledge or a rail and you get scared because the obstacle is too high, pick a ledge or rail that is smaller so that you’re not as scared. But sometimes it might not just be the size of the obstacle that is scary it depends on the trick you are trying to do. The indoor skatepark I go to in the winter most of the ledges and rails there are very tall and one of my friends that I sometimes skateboard with told me that those guys are used to falling. But when I go there in the winter they do have one ledge that is small on flat ground but it is more like a small to medium size ledge which I find that size or smaller of an object is better for me. That indoor skatepark I go to in winter if I want to skate an obstacle I can only do it on that small one because the other ones are too high and I can’t pop that high.

Had he not gotten to know Braille and Aaron i am sure he would have pursued other career paths and been equally successful. Braille didn't just "basically gave him a role as a organizer", he earned that role through hard work and determination.
I know that Braille is huge and they sell a ton of merch and kill it with their demographic, but knowing his connection to Scientology and their way of pumping money into marketing/endorsements/etc. I can’t help but feel a little suspect about it all. Is their business 100% percent on them, or does the cult drop cash to keep the popularity up? To be fair, I’ve never heard Aaron mention Scientology on the channel. It seems like they wouldn’t be getting much return on their investment without a little advertisement coming their way. Anyways, I hope they don’t have their slimy hands in their business.

One of the video was played on TV and advertised on a billboard in LA. Aaron has also been spotted handing out flyers on Market St in San Francisco to promote joining Scientology.
I love this video and Aaron’s focus on teaching, I was helping a young boy at my local park to learn how to Ollie, and in the middle of my teaching him, he turned and asked me “ did you learn this from Skateboarding Made Simple by Aaron Kyro?” And it made me smile so hard to see the positive impact that he’s made
People that complained for 2years about yelling didn't even notice the echo and skateboard slam echo's from when they first got their park set up. Legit dumb dumbs lol. *But to be fair many channels got backlash for better quality, at all times.*
I wish these guys and RU-vid were around when I started skateboarding. Kids are so lucky nowadays, way more skateparks and guys pumping out this quality content makes it impossible to not learn new stuff and get ideas. Keep up the good work.

I love watching Braille! So much talent! I was watching his latest freestyle session, and it was refreshing because he didn't come across as some know it all, and made sure every trick was explained so everyone understood.

I haven’t skated in well over 10 years, but the Braille and Revive teams have inspired me to get back on a board at the age of 29. Aaron and Andy are amazing human beings.

Watching Braille for so long actually got me into skateboarding, and I have been (slowly) learning how to become better at skating just by studying their videos. I love the vibes that come off of everyone out at the Braille house and I hope I'm the kinda skater that they are, willing and (some day) able to help get people into an amazing hobby that has become my life.
Braille should inject like obscure scenes of Lance in the distant background for like A WHOLE YEAR like bigfoot ... it will make people want to not miss 1 video.

I grew up in the core scene, and was sceptical about this whole RU-vid thing, but to be honest, all pride aside, these guys are so postlitive towards skateboarding and are crushing it.
Yeah there's so many things that CoRe SkAtErS hold on to like adults holding onto things due to nostalgia. Like you said leaving pride aside change can be a good thing. There's still many things skaters still need to grow out of like using VX 1000s. Sure the fish eye looks cool, but I think it's a good time to grow out of the yellow filter and quality itself being like 10 pixels

I wish my generation of skateboarding had an avenue like RU-vid to use as a vehicle to keep up and progress, I started skating in 2000 and kept going until about 05, then I stopped for about 12 years and got the itch again and with the help of Braille and other RU-vid channels, I have progressed and surpassed my capabilities at 35 years old and couldn't be more appreciative for this channel. Aaron Kyro is a good dude.
I've found about Braille in 2014. After years wanting a Skateboard, my Dad ordered me a setup for my Birthday. I was so hyped about. While I was waiting the delivery to arrive, I searched for Skateboard Videos on RU-vid. Well.. Braille was on of them. After all the year's, they developed a real business. However, it really looks like it that they have still "!real!" fun and it isn't just all about the money. I guess the reason of this, is the fact that Skateboarding is rough and it hasn't to be a perfect video, which releases a lot of stress. Additionally, they skate with friends and a lot of great people, which quite help to push them futher in their career. I know, there is, or was most likely a time where there was stress, demotivation and other private or company related stuff that wasn't easy. As in all lifes, like in yours or mine. I'm sure Aaron is a mentally strong person, you can see the it in his skate career. But friends like Lance or Gabe especially pushed him and Braille futher, and Braille Skateboarding has become what you know today. Just remember friends and family are super important. They'll get you to "the top of the mountain"
I love how non-competitive skateboarders and these YT channels are. No matter what industry you work in, this is such a great example of how positive re-enforcement helps everyone. I was always sad when folks like Lance or John Hill left Braille, but then super happy when I see them return or just say nice things about each other. The world is just 1000x better with you folks doing your thang...
Before i knew braille skateboarding i practiced waterpolo here in chile, but when i saw how fun it was to skate i realized that i wasn't happy training so hard in waterpolo. After that i quit waterpolo i started skateboarding. Now i have been skateboarding 1 month and i just landed my first pop shoveit.

I'm not a fan of braille, but i can appreciate everything they've done for skateboarding and increasing the amount of people that are interested in this amazing sport and hobby.
Idk the kids who get into skating because of RU-vid are pretty lame. Not that they aren't sometimes really talented. They are just way too trendy and care more about the social clout they get from being a skateboarder. No true skater ever thought Braille was cool.

Aaron and Gabe are Scientologists. So are most of the companies employees but the skaters are not necessarily Scientologists. Also they were forced to fire Jason Semmel AKA Fetty Potter when it became clear that he was having a sexual relationship with a 14yo.

I've been watching Braille sine they started and it never occurred to me that Gabe had gone from being a 14 year fan showing up in the occasional video to straight up running the show. When the first clip showed of one of Gabes first appearances all I could think was "oh my God, has it really been that long?" Good work John, and good work to everyone at Braille. I just want to put this out there. I started skating again about 2 weeks ago after watching john and braille! they did exactly what they wanted to by reminding me why I loved these sports, skate, snowboarding, BMX, gymnastics, etc. because when you finally land that new trick, that trick you've been trying for 2 weeks straight and falling on your face over and over... that feeling is better than any other accomplishment so far. I skate every day now and I'm so thankful.
