It is now confirmed that Aaron Rodgers missed minicamp for a planned trip to Egypt. Cannot Hughes said that the “hysteria” over Rodgers’ absence was how it was announced. Craig Carton asks if the New York Jets are to blame for the story getting out of hand.

It’s on Aaron for not being there. But I’m sure Aaron would like us to think it’s on the Jets. The reason it’s unexcused is most likely so the NFL can fine him. The fines start out at just below $17K and can go over $2M, depending on hoe much time is missed. The Jets were probably like, “Sure, take your trip if it’s so important to you. But it’s gonna cost you.”

He was ready to return from injury and play if the Jets were playoff bound by December, why didn’t he go to Egypt in January-June, lol, I get the feeling the Jets are going to play well this year make the playoffs and then Rodgers tears his other achillies the same way the first NFL player to get his surgery did, and he was only 23-25, but an RB, lol, just another joke season for the Jinx, I mean Jets! And you know why it’s a big deal because it’s Rodgers, he went to the media and said, “no more distractions,” lol, and what does the one time SB champ and 4 time MVP do, cause an early distraction, lol, but what would you expect from an anti-vax QB that took money from a team owned by a pharmaceutical company that makes vaccines, lol
