panicandfoblvr well I'm sure ,if we were all born n grew up n cared for as a child n adult with all that money, i bet we wouldn't complain. Lol, .anyways it must be wonderful not to have to worry about paying the bills.etc and to be able to give your child lots ,but obviously keeping kids grounded and happy worst thing ever is when ya see rich family's with spoilt rude little brats . Anyway fair play to being born into wealth ,,nuvin to moan bout ,then,! Lol 😺✔
@@NDBit How can that be? It's her money and she can do whatever she wishes. It's not her obligation to create affordable housing. If someone handed you all of her money, would you like for someone else to dictate how you spend?
Whenever I play lotto I write the name of a major charity for children. I want to give 50% to them. I just want to live well and worry free. And consciously couldn't sleep knowing that just 1 of my houses couldn't feed, cloth, or cure thousands of people around me.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, if I had the kinda money that could afford me a 85 million dollar second home, I’d be helping a lot more then she is.
@@biancabumblebee3340 there's so many gorgeous breathtaking homes in the real estate market that no one really has to pay 88 million dollars for a home look at billionaire Warren Buffett, he's kind of extremely still has the same Dutch colonial home he had when he was growing up but, 88 mils a scam
Absolutely! I’ve worked with the Ecclestone family many times years ago... the girls are very polite. Bernie is grumpy but also reasonable... he came from nothing
On another note, I never thought it was right for Aaron Spelling to leave Tori with almost nothing. After raising her in a certain lifestyle, that is. I think he was cruel in doing that. Just my two cents.
Wasn’t the reason Aaron left Tori with “nothing” because she had divorced her first husband to be with the second one? I could be totally wrong. I’m even sure Aaron was even alive during that time. That said, she (and, her brother) kind of got screwed but there’s no law where parents have to leave anything to their kids. I am curious what Candy Spelling will do though. I’m assuming she’ll leave some to her grandkids.
OMG. People. Shush. If you had that much money, you'd spend it too. You'd be lying if you say you wouldn't. She is very grounded. She works hard. Don't be quick to judge by one video.
the only thing you can be critical of is that she didn't make the 85 million dollars she was giving it by her father. but that is his business and his money...they both can do what they want.
Awesome! Beautiful!! She is beautiful. The home is beautiful. Though my wife and I lost everything including our house (we are currently renting a bedroom in someone's home), I am not the least bit jealous because I applaud success.
If you believe spending $85 million dollars on a house exemplifies any shred of propriety, an attempt to save money, or even a vestige of rational thought then your brainwashing/programming has already progressed/advanced beyond treatment/repair
Samuraisahsah she recently sold it for nearly $120million dollars further increasing her and her families net worth because she is a smart, well spoken business women. Don’t be jealous it’s rather tasteless
When the two sisters are together you honestly wouldn't think they have what they do. To me they are both brilliant, if you could see what they both raise for charity you would be amazed.
She's pretty. I agree with her - I wouldn't think of not living a certain way just because others are less fortunate. It's so bizarre to me how some are so jealous of wealthy ppl and the way they live. I had humble beginnings and NEVER feel envious of others. I'm all for living in a big house (must be nice having everything you want under one roof - I dream of having a home with a gym and hair salon but 50,000 square feet seems really really big - I'd get lost in there lol).
+Eugenie X some people just don't like rich flashy people. I have nothing against rich folk, it's just the flashy ones that get on my nerves. It makes me want people to rob them because then it would be funny and enjoyable.
How ignorant to ask this woman, why she didn't build affordable housing instead of buying that manor. It is her money (via inheritance, is neither here nor there). Furthermore, for those that believe she should've spent her money on "affordable housing", what SACRIFICES have you made to ensure a person living below the poverty line will be housed and fed? The interviewer works for ABC News, I wonder how much of his salary does he set aside per month to house a family. Some people are absolutely atrocious.
+janestillspeaking most people don't have the kind of money to help others out. you would need a collective. people like her, do, but instead spend their money on the lavish lifestyle.
+janestillspeaking Interview techniques aside.....buying a house that large is an arrogant indulgence in a world of limited supplies and a slap in the face to people who work hard their whole lives and still can never afford even a modest house. The way i see it she is a planetary leech, by enabling people like this you douchebags have fallen for the hype sorry you won't ever get an invite into her world, She probably sacrifices kids in her basement.....considering the things her father is into.
She seems honest and frank. It's a beautiful home and looks to be a good investment. She has the money to keep it well maintained creating jobs for many. She is blessed in many ways and I wish her success in all her ventures and with her charity.
Bravo! Your post should be at the top of the list of comments. It is beautifully expressed, it is fair and balanced, and it puts all of those others to shame who wrote negative comments which were so obviously borne out of pure jealousy.
What a Woman! Brains, Beauty, Money, Independent. She has it all and she carries it well. Refreshing to see such an young woman express herself with certainty. I'll watch her.
You guys, just the rich don't have to give. We ALL should give to others who are less fortunate than we maybe. To give is a blessing for you as well. Deuteronomy 16:17 says: "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you." So we ALL have something to give..not just rich people. Give what you can when it touches your heart! You will be so blessed for it!
She's very Pretty and I like her. I like seeing new people and she seems really nice to me. She seems young but has a good outlook and sounds more mature and she knows about business.
Not really…it could have been bought by a Hotel conglomerate. It is too much home to be a single family residence. Insane distraction for Aaron Spellings wife. OCD for sure.
Personally. If you are lucky enough to be that privileged. It is up to you what you want to spend your money on. As long as you try and give to others a helping hand, rather than being a selfish human being. Fair play. I don't think anyone should apologize for having money. She is most likely grounded because of her mum coming from humble beginnings and the people she chooses to have around her. Fair play. One very lucky lady indeed.
Envy her? No ! sod cleaning that house lol .I'm happy for her she's rich beautiful and helping others she doesn't sound like a horrible person she knows how lucky she is, she just wants to live the life she was blessed with without feeling guilty. Who knows how much she really does for charity some of the most giving people don't feel the need to " show off" all the good things they do.
A lot of very sad, jealous and I'm sure very hypocritical people commenting on this young woman that they don't know in real life. So what if she has wealth, she doesn't have to give to anyone nor explane to anyone what she buys. The more she spends the better it is for the economy, as it puts more money into businesses and the employees get their wages. It's a win win situation. Nothing worse than a rich person that doesn't want to spend, a lot of good that would do sitting in a bank! If you're so upset, go out and make your own wealth and give your own money to the needy and stop expecting other people to give! Don't buy what you don't need and give the money away. I bet most commenting don't need the computer that they're on, so do us all a favor and sell it now and give the money to charity. And the people commenting that she should have very serious crimes committed to her or people like her, don't wish for another what you wouldn't want to happen to you, as karma can be a very bad bitch, what goes around, comes around!
Why are you trying to psychoanalize people. It is called a forum and that being said people can say what they want. I don't envy the filthy rich whatsoever, I am happy with whom I am and what I have not what I don't have. Listen to you, "nothing worse than a rich person who doesn't want to spend", that person made their money & it is up to them if they decide to spend or not. You sound like a very unhappy, finger pointing individual. The only comment I would make to her is buy yourself some food.
I think people are so full of envy and jealousy it's really sad everyone has the opportunity to make your own money and buy your own stuff people get mad at me cause I buy myself stuff but I don't really care it's all good
Apparently she tore everything out the manor - decorated it horribly, then resold it. That's a pity - as someone who appreciated the Manor as it was, could have purchased it. Ecclestone bought it for $85 million? I thought it sold for $150 million? Then she resold it for $120 million. Why tear up that beautiful house then re-sell it? Just for the profit?
She just sold the house last year, and thank God. Watching this video has shown me that despite how rich she is, Petra Ecclestone was so stuck up to me that very few wanted to be around her, as opposed to the spellings, the former owners, who were very popular with society and generous. If I had owned that house, I would always invite my friends over and put that huge house to good use, throwing down to earth parties for the poor and giving them as taste of success instead of keeping it all to yourself.
You'd be "throwing down to earth parties for the poor"? Would you turn it into a shelter for the homeless too and play ten-pin bowling with them? 🤣😂 No you wouldn't. Absolute nonsense.
At 3:06 specifically 3:13 you can totally see the sexism from the interviewer. If she had been a guy who was the son of a millionaire and said that they do work hard he would have never said "really??". it's so sad that for women to be taken seriously they can't be traditionally feminine, blonde, wear make up, revealing clothes, collect fashion items, etc. this whole interview you can see the disrespect and mockery they made out of her trying to make her look spoiled and dumb. so sad.
Great Analogy. Im not spoiled Im Privileged !! She also is obviously a hard worker brought up by loving parents with values and hard work ethics . Good for her . That’s awesome 👏 💜🙏
Nothing wrong with Petra, but I can't believe her father gave her so much money at such a young age. Especially when she says "Like, I got a really great deal". She's not buying a bargain handbag. Bernie should have waited until Petra and Tamara were 30 before allowing them to throw around so much of his cash.
mackay10 I agree. I say he should have them on a budget. You can't really appreciate what you haven't had to work or do something for. Wow. You learn no value of life.
the only thing is the property taxes have to be at least 100-150 k a month. I guess she figures she can cover that as well. She'll probably sell it for 150 million some day, Good for her.....lucky in money and in looks, she is beautiful
I was on board with her for a while until she said "well i have family coming over from london so i need the space" im sorry, are you for real love? if they are visiting you a MAXIMUM of 4/5 a year they could all have their own WING. I get you wanted a big house but this is just ridiculous. She seems really down to earth and not a horrible person in any way but still. WAY too big a house for what she needs.
Ugh, I hate it when reporters try to guilt trip rich people for having money and spending it. So what, is Petra supposed to live in a shoebox because there's so many poor people in the world? It's her money to do what she wants with and I'm sure her family donates millions to charity. I'm glad she shut him down.
Anyone who would want to live in such a large home is not normal. I would have turned it into a hotel for tourist or even for the rich and famous. So much money could have been made and Candy could have donated even more to charity.
It's sad Aaron spelling didn't leave the house to his daughter Tori. Ya know where she grew up, and had all her childhood memories. She probably saw this on tv and cringed with sadness I'm sure.
L.P Moonstone Hate to put men or should I say dogs down, but Tori Spelling doesn't look like this piece of shit so that is why it is not important to men that Tori Spelling's father actually made the money and built the house.
Fine - she has money and she can spend it however she wants, but what the hell are two people going to do with that massive Spelling mansion ?? The businessman who reportedly bought the infamous Niles Niami creation The One paid less than half Niami's $500M Fantasyland price, but it made a lot more sense when he said he will use it to promote his business. Both 'homes' would require an army of staff, 24/7 security and a thick skin - I guess we should all be so lucky ;)
Its her dam money , and if she feels like buying out the whole neighbor hood. ( witch includes down the street. ex-play boy mansion) so let it be. Like they say "Live and let live".
You think about the prices of homes in 2017 in that area and it was a great deal at the time. You could easily build two gigamansions on that property and sell them for $100+mil each.
Never heard of her. And I have no problem with people born into money, after all you can't help what you're born in to, but I do have a problem with people who show off their wealth. Why did she do this interview?
Nobody is obligated to help less fortunate but it seems to be the proper thing to do. We dont help each other though, especially in America. If we did, we probably wouldn't have such a crisis (L.A. specifically has a huge problem). To the people saying 'she isnt obligated to give anything', you're right but if the people who are well off dont help the less fortunate than who is up to? If you have more than your neighbor it is in good moral standing to help your fellow man, help by giving SOME of the extra you have that was clearly given to you.
I don't think his questions really got to the point. I don't think envious is the right term. if someone had 10,000 boxes of cookies would you be envious? Unless you could convert that to something more useful I don't think it would be . Same thing with that house not envious more shaking your head at pointless waste . Nothing to do with anything other than be a symbol of status . I bet she spent hardly any time there .
Her and her sisters need protection around them, they are pretty, smart, and theres to many sickos out there who harm the beautiful gals. If she was my daughter I d tell her to take 3 rotts for a walk., and the body gaurd. She s beautiful and so is her sister. Blessed with beautiful looks and shape.
