Aati Kya Khandala | Lonavala | Maggi Noodles | Misal Pav | Satvik Food | Onion Bhaji | Street Food
❤️ Hello friends, it was time for a short and quick vacation and so I asked her Aati Kya Khandala 😊 and on hearing names of places like Lonavala and Khandala especially in the rains nobody can say no. These twin hill stations are just a two hour drive from Mumbai and are frequently visited by people from Mumbai and Pune. Lonavala and Khandala are just too beautiful in the rains, with the rains coming down and you walking through the clouds is just a heavenly experience.
And not to forget the food😋 steaming hot Misal Pav, the Onion Bhaji, Maggi Noodles at a roadside stall or food truck and the variety of Street Food is just unmissable. Not to forget the restaurants that serve delicious cuisine from all over the country.
So we started a day with a hearty breakfast of Misal Pav, Onion Bhaji and Gol Bhaji at Buvanchi's Misal. Now this place serves the most delicious Misal Pav available in Lonavala along with other piping hot Maharashtrian snacks. They are serving foodies like us since the last 40 years and their food is not to be missed.
After a great breakfast we decided to drive around the beautiful hills of Lonavala and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Driving through the hills we spotted a small food truck called Hasty Tasty at one of the bends and the aroma of the food emanating from the food truck just made us apply the brakes and stop for a quick bite. Though we were not hungry but the atmosphere and the weather got over us and we had some hot maggi and sweet corn. It is really something else to dig into such foods in the hills. They also serve hot pakodas and beverages. So just keep your eyes open and look for Hasty Tasty. You will come across this truck as you are driving from Lonavala towards Amby Valley and after you cross Bushy Dam. It is a little before the Lions Point.
So 2 meals done we were really full, so we decided to pay a short visit to my Mom and her friend who were also in Lonavala on their yearly trip. They usually stay at a home for senior citizens called The Ramanand Shastri Charitable Trust. The place is just too beautiful and has all the facilities that our senior citizens need. Though our stomachs were full the super hot and fresh vegetarian food could not stop me from having some. Simply prepared and served with love and warmth this turned out to be an experience of a lifetime. We really enjoyed sitting and having lunch with our respected senior citizens and getting their blessings was really fortunate.
