If you think this is eerie you should of seen it in its "airport buy out/imminent domain" hay day back in like 2005 when all the houses there were all boarded up with no one living in them. My brothers and I drove thru there when I was like 13 or 14 and we had a literal picnic in the middle of the road somewhere in there and I'll never forget how eerily quiet it was lol. There was also some sort of shut down vacant medical/mental health institution of some sorts as well near Gist rd. Nowadays it's just all grass and mud. I'm guessing it was st.louis's closest thing to the ghost towns in Detroit as it gets. Good memories lol

Is there a street to it or how did you access this. Did you park your car and walk. We was gonna try but was affraid someone would see our truck and tow it any tips

To see the remains the subdivision is crazy. Such a waste to destroy a community...including Kinloch for that matter. All for an airport that never reached it's projected growth thanks to TWA going broke and AA removing St Louis as a hub.

Me and some friends visited this place 3-4 years ago. I went alone before and drove through the town hoping to see some more buildings but this was the only one I still found to be standing. Definitely thought this was the church though not a clubhouse. We found some creepy graffiti but not not much else. A couple other people I know though found a dead dog in the basement of the clubhouse

As a employee for the city of bridgeton, please stay out of there! Its very dangerous, that building is structurally unstable and the amount of abestos exposed is deathly. The last thing anybody wants is someone to get hurt in there.

Since you’re an employee of Bridgeton I have to ask… have you ever heard of any dead bodies being found in the clubhouse or in the subdivision in general? I’ve heard so many rumors about it throughout the years but I can’t find anything online about it

There were actually 4 pools i.imgur.com/Z2s5fXE.jpg A 12 ft diving pool (Yellow Box) A 10 ft main pool (Blue Box). There was a small slide where I put the circle. Kiddy Pool (Black Box) A 5ft Family Pool (Purple Box). The filters you saw were for the Family Pool. The giant filter for the main pool had to be cut up and removed, but you can still see the surge pit. The kiddy pool filter and pump were both small and were removed. To get to the filter room for the diving pool you need to go to the area between the tennis courts and the pool. There is a door down there that held everything.
