You are an impressive mechanic. I wish you were close to me. I recently inherited a 1970 Nova from my mother. She had brought it home, the 1st week in 1972 and its been in family ever since. It has barely moved since 1987. My journey has just begun. Im going to replace/repair, everything from bumper to bumper. I watch as many of your videos as my day will allow. Even the little things, like the rear wheel spacing video, are helpful. Merry Christmas.. Let me know if you want another project ?!
Thanks! I’ll definitely be looking for sone projects this coming year. My email is in the about section of my channel. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!
The way you built it is great enough nothing fancy just good or used parts that’s affordable I can only dream about building one only 4 door sedan just for thrills nothing serious but fun and auto cross time attack racing
people just don't realize that with a little hard work and dedication you can build your way out of debt and dependence! I just finished a 64' Chevelle garbage car for under 5k. 20-25 thousandths sheet metal and a cheap 110 welder can build you a super structure! if the metal isn't rusted than it can be reused and abused!
Great video ! Always enjoy seeing these compilation videos especially with you doing a voiceover. So many do music but I like the stories being told. This went good. … that sucked… etc. lol. Take care and Merry Christmas to you and your family John
@@Shop209 They're out there, Idk what your location is but just a quick jump on Nashville Craigslist there's a 75 and 78 Nova and a 76 Omwega and a 77 Buick Skylark for sale all under 2K.
This is the first video Ive watched of yours....I think Ive seen some others pop up. Just wanted to say it was a great wrap up on the build and the Nova looks great! Subbed.
Very nice and merry Christmas to you and yours. I have a set of springs for the front as well as the other stuff. They are stiffer and lower than stock but uncut. All of the springs i have ever found for a Nova seem to be lowering. Put 1" blocks in my 69 and it is actualy a little over factory ride hieght.
man I feel you about the glass I am trying to get a windshield for my 66 Chevelle but its been a battle 150 bucks for the glass 500 to ship it kinda of a thing.
How much was the coil over kit for that 73 or 74 Nova you have? Might be something for the new owner to invest in once they get the body the way they want.
It was idling lower before I drove it. Didn’t get that part in video. I bumped timing up before I drove it and idle was too high. Not really a chop but you can tell not really stock. Still need to adjust carb and timing.
@@Shop209 ok,if it;s piston slap it will get louder just when you put a slight load. when you first tap the gas peddle you will hear it louder than at idle. i take a heater hose and put it to your ear and go from the pan to the intake and try n isolate top our bottom.. also,do you suspect 1 piston or multiple? if 1,you can remove one plug wire at a time and see if that finds it.
