Hi Anubhav, Take a Bow! Thank you for sharing. I have to implement a Hierarchy view for Flocs (Functional Locations - Tplnr) in PM module where each Tplnr is a Parent as well as a child of its predecessor (like a Tree Data structure). This Hierrachy CDS view will come in handy for fast retrieval from IFLO.

Hi Anubhav, Thanks for sharing such a informative video session with us. I have one query. I have eclipse Oxygen Release Milestone 2 (4.7.0 M2) and here I am unable to get any option with "define parent child hierarchy" in data definition. I have also installed all the latest software extension in eclipse. Could you please educate us about that option. Thanks, Bhupendra Singh

hi thanks for this nice CDS information , i am facing issue to add hierarchy in standard CDS view, the total requirement is to add 25 fields from table ACDOCA to Std.CDS view C_Trialbalanceq0001 and out of these 25 fields 2 need to be in hierarchy .so i completed to add fields by extension view but not able to add hierarchy in std CDS.

Hi, I have developed this solution using table iflot and I need to use two tables now, iflot and equz. Is it possible to create a Hierarchy using more than two tables ? The last item of iflot has a "child" on equz, but there is not a direct relationship. I have to go from iflot to iloa and then equz.

Hi Anubhav, I have a requirement to create project Hierarchy CDS View.. I have a input as Cost Center Group into the hierarchy. But i am facing issue to use parameter with data category as dimension. Can you please help me on this?

After creating the CDS using the parent child hierarch template i am getting error on line define hierarchy that "Instead of hierarchy, VIEW or TABLE FUNCTION was expected"

Hi anubhav, i am recieving error when i try to create parent child hierarchy as “template uses feature which is not yet supported by backend system”. I have HDB 2.0 and S4 version 1709. Can you pls help ?

What's the point of creating a simple Z-table with 3 columns and build CDS view ? Real life is to join 20 tables and create advanced reports. Please show how to do that ....

This is an instructional video to demonstrate new feature. If you want him to build entire real world program you should pay him lots of money. I can't believe you have worked for 25 years. How can you ask this kind of question?

Hi Anubhav, Is there a video on Smart Tree view Table (i.e using SmartTable of sap.ui.comp library where property tableType = TreeTable).
