I decided to take the Abarth 695 70th Anniversario on a road trip to Germany. The Black Forest to be more specific. The Abarth 695 70th Anniversario is a hot hatch with no cruise control so how did we cope driving for more than 9hrs on the first day. It was worth the drive to experience the black forest roads in the little Abarth 695 70th Anniversario. The Abarth 695 was a great fun car to hoon around the mountain forest roads!

Hi Stef. Very nice video. Amazing car and in the company of your wife. Cant do better than that. About not being allowed to fuel up in France..thats crazy. April 2018 I drove alone a Smart Fortwo cdi from Austria do Portugal. I fueled up 9 times. Took me 15 hours just to go through France. Imagine if I had to do the same trip again not being able to fuel up the car? Im waiting for part 2 now! In a very close future, I will be doing a road trip around Europe in my 1995 mk1 Fiat Punto. It is a great video and a very nice road trip! I made a short stop in Baden-Baden last summer, it's a lovely and very clean city. The Black Forest seems beautiful. I love the motorways in Germany, when there is no traffic and no speed limit it's fantastic. About the Sabelt seats I like them on my 695 Biposto, even if they are very firm.

Well Stef, what can I say now? Abarth generously lending you this car caused me to rethink the car I had on order...so as of this afternoon, I've now cancelled the car I had on order and have put my order in for a Monza Green 695 70th Anniversario which should be with me in the next coupe of weeks! Luckily I have a very understanding dealer!

I did note the lack of people is some of the places you went through, and actually surprised you went there. I suppose you found out where and when you can go without isolation, also very good camera work and also from drone footage? Car looks well and seems to be going well so it should its still a baby!!!

I've put some covers in the Sabelt s of my AlfaRomeo MiTO ( same seats ) , it does make a big dfference, did some long journeys from UK to France, Spain and Portugal , and can tell you it did increased a lot the liveability of the car

One just before getting on the channel tunnel. One in Germany. Got there in 2 tanks but arrived in Baden Baden with hardly anything left. Whole trip I sid about 6 tanks of fuel

As someone who's watch from the other side of the Atlantic, can you explain the GB sticker? Does everyone crossing from one country to another have to use that?

Yeah it’s a requirement in Europe. Most people have them already on the numberplate but my car didn’t have the gb sign on the plate so had to add it 🙌
