@Don Tennis That's a nice shout out to them, but that has zero to do with my comment. 🤣😭 I'm American, and I will be promoting and supporting our American squad, but you do you, too! 👊🙂 ❤️🇺🇲💙
@Simon Snow YASSSSSSS! Simon says, "It's GO TIME!" 😁👊 Our comment game has to be strong and in force because these haters are already springing up like weeds in a yard. 🤣 Oh, remember that Swollen guy who always lambasts Abby and Boling? He had to eat his entire shoe collection with his foot in his mouth after Boling became the 200 Indoor Champ. 🤣🤣👊👏 Womp womp! Btw, what channel were we always on last year? Idk if I was unsubscribed from it or if he shut it down but I can't find it and I think he changed the name of it after the season last year? The "Dat's whud'it'is" guy...🤔
Abby and Sydney are fan favorites because they are humble. They put it all on the track and let the results will speak for themselves. Showboating and talking smack aren't necessary.
@@tommywordsmith7491nope it's unique to her physical build and running style. It's innate and fixing it is like asking someone to fix their squat stance
It is like 2 pistons moving with mirrored movement every stride. RUNNERS! If you want to be your absolute best. Make sure you have a phenomenal core! Also, because we tend to run Individual races and relays counter clockwise. One obviously exerts more effort on the left leg. My HS team started a tradition to warm up and cool down clockwise.
@Mark rapacki shes not arguably the best over none of the three discipline she competes in. She could find her way unto the podium tho in the 200 seeing that the two Africans and Shelly won't be contesting the 200m. Even so she will have to bring her A game to the party.
Abby showed that her coaches are bringing her along beautifully. She is coming into form nicely, and according to schedule, while still winning each race she enters.
True, she should chop off 0.5 sec at peak season --> 21.70 here we go. Probably won't scare Shericka but 2nd place is still damn impressive for someone still in or just out of college.
Accolades for all the runners, and the commentator ends his comments with” and then they’re’ s Abbie Steiner”… really? she clearly dominated that race! She has become the runner to beat in 200 or 400 seems like, doesn’t it?
Why do these so called commentators never give the recognition to the best consistent runner Abby Stunning Steiner? Always talkin... davis who? richardson who?Stunning Steiner Smoked them all! Keep it up Abby
I think people don't know what to do with Abby Steiner! She's OUT OF THE MOLD! She doesn't LOOK LIKE what we're use to, running that fast, she doesn't RUN LIKE what we're use to seeing, running that fast, but she's CONSISTENTLY killing it! TEACHING EVERYBODY A LESSON on how not to get comfortable with the status quo. Go Abby!
Quit captilalizing your sentences , we get it , she’s a white queen and blacks aren’t used to it , it’s ok . You’ll are still the better sprinters and athletes
Hmmm she out of a mold, we know she's not open 100m runner lol but she runs the 200m and 400m she good. Never seen that before.... Felix or Jackson but I get it I guess lol
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 what r u talking about? Her relays on the 100 is show stopper, she might not be the best in the world but good grief to be top 3 in the 200,400 and maybe top 5 in the 100 in the entire world? Good God what does the white queen have to do to prove to you people she is built different, nobody is gonna step on youlls golden throne when it comes to being the dominant athletes in track and field , blacks hands down are elite , but every once in a while someone comes along for a brief period of time and that’s ok, no diff then every now and then a black gymnast or black swimmer is dominant , it’s awesome to see
@@davee7344 Steiner is not top5 in the world in the 100m stop it lol In the 100m alone you have ETH SAFP Shericka Jackson Ta Lou Sha’carri Hobbs TT Terry Dina Asher-Smith Hobbs Etc etc that are better than her in the 100M Steiner is fantastic in the 200m has potential in the 400m but isn’t top5 in the 100m
@@RANDOMZBOSSMAN1 ok point taken , prob should have kept to top 5 American sprinters, but still doggone impressive, it’s just amazing everyone has all these opinions but it comes down to one thing , the clock
It is not the 22.23 that matters...it is her patience and I believe she has not lost a race this year. She has not run a bad race yet. She is relaxed in the finishes of all her races. She is building for a moment. Track is only remembers the time and Abby as a pro is clearly on a mission to be ready for a future meet. She won that race easy. She could have started a little quicker and finished stronger but she is training. Reminds me of Michael Phelps racing in meets before the team trials with hairy legs and chest and a beard. He was winning and letting everyone know it was just practice.
Very true, plus its only her first 200m in 8 months since Worlds last year. Barely any women are going to be putting up low 22s like this early in the season. Look at Gabby Thomas last week, only ran 22.46. But as you said April races aren't about times, they're about working on fundamentals, starts, and finishes, and getting an idea of where you're currently at so you can take it back to practice and build off of it. Goal is always to try and peak later on in the season for Nationals and Worlds which are also a full month later this year than they were last year. Solid performance here for Steiner.
@@steelliving8785 Meh, she has a good chance at medaling this year I think. Will see out it plays out. Some of ya'll track fans need to chill tf out with the toxicity 🤣🤣
Well, she and the rest of the United States women better be worried. The young lady that was running up on her: Tamari Davis. The 20-year-old from Florida. She ran just a few seconds better than her personal best that she set in 2018, when she was......15!!!! She was fifteen and running a 22.48. Her coaching team has brought her along slowly, which seems to be working. Last year, she posted 10.83 in 100 meters. She has not run 200 meters regularly for over three years. Seems like their focus was to get competitive in the 100 meters, in which she finished 4th last year at the nationals at 19. This year seems like they are branching her out. By Nationals (barring no injury), she will be a beast. Oh, by the way, she beat ShaCarri, TT, and a field of young ladies at Prefontaine. They were 17,18, and 19. She was 13. One last thing, ShaCarri running like she did in the 100 meters also should cause worry. She is a natural 200 meter runner as well. Praying for no injuries, this year in track, will not be an easy walkover like last year. You will have ShaCarri, Gabby, Abby, Tamari, Tamara Clark (yet to see her run) and a host of others on the track.
@Starrun yea she gon medal with a team but most likely not individually. Sorry about the toxicity 😂😂😂😂😂. If you slow then your slow. Why some folks expect her to be faster than Usain bolt. 😂😂😂.
Pristine form? She should have reconfigured that wild arm swing in the off season. It's an aerodynamic detriment. Her coach should have put her in a wind tunnel to make the point plain.
Though Abby has potential, she will need to work on her form, if she is to take the next step and compete with the likes of Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shericka Jackson, Dina Asher-Smith and Gabby Thomas! Her unorthodox arm motion is a hindrance in elite pro-level track and field!
Everyone see Abby (200m 22.23 - wind aided 1.8ms - LEGAL WIND) & Shacarri (100m -10.57 wind aided 4.1ms - ILLEGAL WIND AIDED TIME UNFORTUNATELY) today in the invitational? Both got 1st in their race of choice & both are the fastest women in the world as of today in those respective races. Shacarri, now has the 4th fastest women’s 100m of all time in any weather-related conditions. LET’S GO 🎉LADIES!! TEAM USA 🇺🇸
I believe Sha'Ferrari now has the 3rd fastest for all conditions with that run! She's definitely appearing more at peace within herself, which will translate to better performances! And Abby STUNNER is progressing fantastically!! Let's Go USA! ❤️🇺🇲💙
Good start to the season for both I hope Sha’carri can remain focused honestly she has all the talent in the world but she can be so distracted at times about the wrong things Interested to see how Abby deals with less races this year a medal in 200m could be calling
@@RANDOMZBOSSMAN1 - I’d be distracted too if the world turned on me & tore me down for nearly a year over some relief by smoking jesus grass 🚬 after a close family member passed away.
Abbey is the clearly the best woman's runner and winner and was just blown off by this announcer. Way to go Abbey. We all see on these video's that you are kicking everybody's ass.
I hope she keeps her feet firmly on the ground, learn from the many victories and heart-breaking defeats, improve on her starting and speed, and most importantly to NEVER get into any confrontation with Sha'Carri Richardson (fans of both athletes love to compare, and to get them to say something mean about each other)
Completely opposite personalities, both in the 2 young women and their fans. I always appreciate those who are humble in victory and gracious when they are defeated. That's just the way I was raised. Abby is the epitome of what I admire in all athletes as they live out their dreams. We need to remember that without excellent competition, nobody reaches the height of their potential.
I don't think that's the case. The analysis was accurate and fair. First, they talked about her 56 races last year, and the tone used made it clear that for them, that was a lot of races. In my opinion, way too many. And after the race, he mentioned that she isn't in the same shape as she was at this time last year, but that it was normal, that she had more races under her belt.
The United States is showcasing some amazing talent in women's track and field. My personal fav is Sydney McLaughlin. I expect her to destroy the 400 m WR.
@@hollyharvey1986 True but EVERYONE knew that Gabby was hurt all year with hamstring issues and she ran that race hobbled AF. This year she is 100% better and ready. It should be fun.
@@dmvbay2535 That'll be a great battle to see, my only fear with Gabby is that she's not the same as she was two years ago, still gonna be a great battle though now that she's healthier this season.
Can't help but notice all the salty black girls at the end of the race never want to shake Steiner's hand or say "good race". Like Caitlin Clark last week, you know Abby always has to deal with her opponents racism too.
I can tell Abby pulled back the last ten feet or so…she could’ve pushed the gas pedal down more but she’s being smart conserving her energy. Way to go Abby 🎉
Helllooooo Holly! How's my fellow Abby groupie?! Hope you're well and it's gonna be an AWESOME season for our girl! Let's Go USA!! ❤️🇺🇲💙 (Haters are already out and about, I see). 🤣🤣
I think it's a brilliant idea that she is running in the 300-400m races which I believe will help improve her time for the 200 and the 100m if she decides to compete in that
I don't know anything about the science of running, but I have noticed many times, Ms. Steiner's head barely moves when she runs compared to other runners. I assume that is a good thing, based on results.
Like you, I know little about the science of running, but I've noticed the same thing about her head. Her torso seems also more stable than other runners. Some say her unorthodox, choppy arm movements slow her down, but I think it helps her maintain that stability.
I hope that Abby will be in tip top shape and in her prime for 24 Olympics. It's too bad that the games were not in 22 or 23. Let's just hope that her body can hold up. Because we will see something special.
It's not how you start. It's how you finish.... Let's hope that she's going to peek at the right time..... I'd like to see her run the 400... So we can set up her 200.. Elijah ⛽⛽⛽⛽
Bad start by Abby, and she still pushed hard enough to pull out the win. But her first 40 wasn't good. That says a lot about her strength and composure. When you can win races with bad starts, you are reaching a peak level. Hopefully, she can pull everything together and challenge for the Gold in the 200m.
She said in early interviews that she would be training her start with training partner Christian Coleman. Let’s wait and see if that will help her starts. Coach hall I’m sure has identified a area of improvement.
