ABDOMINAL MACHINES / TUTORIAL FOR BEGINNERS
In this abdominal tutorial, I will show you how to use the:
-Torso rotation machine, which works the obliques and abdominal muscles
-Two different ab crunch machines
Abs are made in the kitchen so make sure your diet is on point and remember that to see your abs you need to be at a low body fat percentage.
New to the gym? Don't know where to begin? Feeling insecure because you don't know how to use the machines? This is one of many tutorials for people new to the gym who don't know where to start.

Very helpful. Thank you. I've been stepping out of my comfort zone to move from the treadmill and elliptical and into the "strength" training area of the gym and this has helped a lot.

Great video! 3 questions. On the 1st exercise are you supposed to set the knee pads all the way over because it has different areas to make your starting point? 2nd question what does the 2nd and 3rd machine work differently? Its sad but I have never been able to use the 2nd machine. I can never move it 😔 last question. I do 10 reps 6 sets on machine 1 and 3 is that not good? I do not expect a 6 pack but more lose fat and tone. Sorry for all the questions.

Nice video man... Just one question regarding the alternate crunch machine where feet remains at ground. Sitting height can be adjusted. What is the effect of this height adjustment and what do you suggest?

I've just recently started going back to the gym after a lot of years. We have the Ab Crunch machine, I apparently intuitively knew how to use it, just haven't been pausing at the bottom of the movement. Will start doing that.

I'm gonna have to start using these machines became sit ups cause way too much stress on my upper spine and neck. I can tolerate a little lower back pain that these supposedly cause, but not neck pain.

so glad I came upon upon your video. i am slim and about 6' 8" with a very STUBBORN belly fat. I have tried everything so far but it's gotten as stubborn as ever. How effective is this in strengthening my rectus abdominus muscles?

+Prince Adom Thanks for watching. Honestly any ab exercises you perform are working your abs. But you might not be able to see them unless your at a low body fat percentage. Remember abs are made in the kitchen. So make sure your diet is on point and do abs at least three times a week. Thanks for watching and commenting.

My very first gym USFitness had all 3 machines and then some... the machine at 1:54 and some cardio on the elliptical machines were the machines responsible for my extreme snapback after I had my son. This machine was a god sent. My tummy wasn't just flat but it caved in that machine was a god sent I used it everyday 5 sets of 20 I went back to that same gym and that machine is gone replaced with something else I laughed and told them no thank you.

For the torso rotation I do 50 on both sides for 50lbs and I use the alternate ab crunch machine and do the same thing but I don't have abs yet and I weigh like 122lbs to 123lbs I'm 13 how long do I have to do them for I did the 50 pounds for 2 days but earlier I did 30lbs for like 5 days (not in 1 week it was like 1 time every weekend and then 3 times in one week and the last two weeks but two days for the last two weeks is what I mean)?

You can do abs 3 times a week, just make sure it’s a different abs exercise each time you do it. To see your abs, you need to be at a low body fat. Some people are not born to get abs, some get a six pack and some get a four pack. It all depends on your body. Abs are made in the kitchen, so your diet needs to be on point in order to see them, no matter how many weight you add or how often you train them.

Liked and subscribed. Your gym has the same brand of equipment as mine so following you is going to be easy. I have lost 100lb just by riding bike, qigong, and eating better. Thanks for this very helpful video. I go to LA Fitness but is there a way to find these machines without walking around in circles looking like an idiot? I don't want to bother the workers there by asking them where every single machine I'm looking for is located.

You’re welcome. Honestly, that is the only way to know the gym. I would go to gym when it’s not busy and walk around to find out where all the equipments are. The gym is usually dead in the mornings, before it closes and on Sundays. Hope this helps.

I tried the one with the feet on the ground and it didnt feel like there was any weight? I kept increasing it but it barely did anything?

+mike jordan cryface Make sure your doing correct form and not just moving the weight up and down. If you don't feel it working, then do a different machine and/or more affective ab exercise. It's about having a mind muscle connection.

Do all these ab machines really work? My 14 yr old told me the obvious, he said mom, everyone has abs but they're just buried underneath the fat so start eating better :( I am improving my eating but curious about the machines

+MyPiNkOnReD Well your son is right 🙂. We all have abs. In order to see them you need to be at a low body fat percentage. Ab machines work, but you have to pause at the bottom of each movement while exhaling. Each movement you need to be engaging your abs/core, not your arms on the machines. If you feel abs during the exercise, then your performing the movement correctly. Hope I was able to answer your question.
