The most common causes of pancreatitis are alcohol, gallstones, or high calcium levels. 30% of the time, there’s an unknown cause for pancreatitis (Idiopathic). One article suggests it could be primarily bile sludge. The cause of bile sludge is cholesterol buildup due to low bile. The best solution to this problem is to take bile salts. On top of using bile salts, you also want to address the underlying cause of low bile. Causes of a bile deficiency include: • Low-fat diets • High-carb diets • Poor microbiome • Fatty liver • High estrogen • High cortisol Healthy keto and intermittent fasting are the best way to combat these issues. Thank you Dr Berg!
I lost 60% of my pancreas, gall bladder and spleen because the hospital told me if I let them install 2 JP drains in pseudocysts in my pancreas. The hospitalist said they could send me home with the drains and they would dry up in 2 weeks and be removed. One did and the other never stopped draining 400ml a day for 10 months. My GI sent me to OHSU in Portland, Oregon where they performed the cholestomy, pancrectomy and splenectomy. The pain of pancreatitis was undescribable, it radiated into my neck, back and stomach with vomiting. I am forever diminished, chronic fatigue rules me. I definitely do not drink alcohol and haven't since my first, only and hopefully last experience with pancreatitis. DO NOT LET A HOSPITAL put a Jackson-Pratt drain in your pancreas if you are presented the option. I wish I had never allowed them to do it. My quality of life is not at all the same.
Thank you so much for the explanation, Dr. Berg. It is very helpful! I have chronic pain on my left side body, sometimes back pain and I have gallstones. Now I know the connection between them. Please keep healthy and God bless you!
I’m wondering if I have Sphincter of Odi dysfunction. I had my gallbladder out last October and to my dismay, I have still been having similar symptoms but have developed a different pain pattern that I overlooked because I already have chronic pain from my Juvenile Discogenic Disease , Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, OA numerous areas. The last few months I have had more epigastric pain and tenderness with an actual pudge that sticks out rather strangely. I was putting off going in to the clinic because of Covid so I was doing zoom visits for my chronic pain management but I went in last week to see my doctor in person because I’m getting worried that something more serious is going on. My liver enzymes are 3X higher than normal and also the Lipase was 3X higher than normal. I have been having intermittent pain that is sometimes like a band around the umbilical area with some sharper pains under my left ribs and feel a sharp pain in my left scapular area, it feels like a catch in my back. I also started getting pain in the back of my head one night after supper and when I woke up my left side of my neck hurt really badly and I attributed it to a stiff neck because I couldn’t turn my head to the left without increased pain. I was getting really depressed because I thought wow, if my neck vertebrae are going bad now too, I don’t know how much more pain I can take anymore. I had the neck pain for 3 days and right now I’m having the scapular pain again plus my neck is starting to feel like it’s pulling and tightening up again. My CBD has been gradually getting bigger the last 5 years and the CT scan last week shows it is up to 14 mm diameter now. It also showed intrahepatic biliary dilation and mild prominence of pancreatic duct which was a new finding from last year when I had the cholecystectomy. I had complications with my gallbladder surgery. I went in as outpatient and surgery went well until I sat up in the chair to eat and suddenly felt like I was blacking out, I called for the nurse and my BP was 60/40 so they quickly got me back lying down and it improved slightly but every time I tried to sit up I would feel faint again. They gave 2 liters IV fluids wide open but I still felt faint rather quickly. I told them there was no way I could go home so they admitted me. I told the nurse right after my surgery that my belly was really big, so big even down to my pelvis but she said it was the gas from the laparoscopy. I voided one time that whole day and had a night from hell. I couldn’t pass gas and my stomach would suddenly get rock hard and spasm and I was in so much pain that I couldn’t take deep breaths. I didn’t ask for anything for pain because I already take pain meds for my chronic pain conditions and I didn’t want them to think that I was drug seeking so all I got was the same meds that I take at home and it didn’t do anything. I’m a Registered Nurse but don’t work anymore because of the chronic pain and I know how nurses can be when people are on pain meds, some of them really like to screw with people by making them wait longer and they make snide comments about how people put their call light on right at the 4 hour mark. Back before I had pain I remember many nurses saying mean things about patients with Fibromyalgia so this is why I laid there in misery all night. The doctor came in at 7 am and said that my hemoglobin was 7 and they gave me 2 units of PRBC’s and then back to CT scan which showed 2 large areas of bleeding, 1 large area was from the gallbladder area and then there was a large hematoma that ran down in to the pelvic region plus I already had a ruptured ovarian cyst which I would have several times a year. I had bilateral atelectasis of lower lobes and a right sided Pleural Effusion. When I had to lay flat for the CT and to get back on the operating table, I was really struggling to breathe properly and could only take little fast and shallow breaths which was a horrible feeling. They looked for where the bleeding was coming from but couldn’t find it. They put in a JP drain. The next day the Hemoglobin was back down to 7.9 again so I had another 2 units and spent another night. I’m so frustrated with having this pain and bloating and have been getting more depressed again which I struggle with already but knowing something is wrong again and worrying about paying for the hospital bill. 4 years ago I had terrible right sided abdominal pain that got worse as the night went on until I couldn’t take it anymore so I went to the ER and the CT showed that my appendix had ruptured so in to the OR immediately and then 5 days in the hospital. That was absolute hell as well but they at least gave me pain medicine without question. To have pain on top of pain, it’s difficult to gage how serious something is for me and I end up waiting way too long which worsens the conditions and ends up with complications and a larger hospital bill. I just had two sharp pains while writing this in my left scapula that was so sharp that I screamed out loud. Oh man I hope it’s not Pancreatitis. I don’t know why I even write all this because it’s like yelling in to the void. Most of the time I write stuff and then delete it because who’s going to actually read all this. I’m going to leave it up this time. I’m scheduled to have an upper and lower endoscopy because I also have GERD and heartburn that gets really bad at times and my lower intestines have cramp like pains frequently with Tenesmus at times so I’m getting both ends checked out plus I’m due for the colonoscopy anyways because I’m 50 years old although I heard that they now recommend this at age 45 so I hope to God nothing is wrong down there. I turned 50 and everything is going haywire plus I’m entering menopause with LMP 6 months ago so I’m up off and on all night sweating and turning my fan off and on all night and then having to go pee as well. My word do I have issues. I used to be a gymnast and was a really good tumbler and I won the regionals in the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter low hurdles plus the anchor for the mile relay and now my entire body feels like someone threw me off a flatbed truck going 60 mph with another vehicle running over me once more for good measure. My word.
@@dandelion9138 YES! If your gallbladder is inflammed or you are running a temperature, don't do this! Seek medical help! But, if not, there are three ways. One is a month long treatment, a week treament and 24hours. The 24 hour one is brutal. But, I did it to speed the process.... You can try the month long treatment which is plain salads every day with olive oil and Lemon juice. The week treatment is the 2ozs of oil & 4 ozs of Lemon juice 2-3 times a day for a week. There are treaments online. Just search them out! Good Luck. I'll pray for you
I found out that I have pancreatitis and I’m just so sad and so scared and so worried that this can lead into pancreatic cancer, which is the worst cancer in the world and my doctor said it was because I was taking Ozempic, which is a very very rare which I just don’t believe that cause I’ve been on it for some time and I never had this problem. I was offered for a couple of months and I had to go back on the low-dose, but she also prescribed me the high dose and I chose the high dose instead of the low-dose, and the next thing I know weeks later, I’m having this excruciating pain out of nowhere vomiting out of nowhere. I don’t even vomit and then I went to ER and I stay the night at the hospital and that’s when they said that my pancreas was bruised and they gave me this blue pill to take in a white pill to take and I don’t have any pains in my back just a little cramping on the sides and a little bit at the top especially when I eat. I hope this doesn’t turn into anything worse I’m so worried it’s like my doctors and them don’t think there’s nothing else just inflamed, and then when I was at the hospital, my temperature blew went up to 101 and then surprisingly it went down just as fast as it went up from 101 then it went down to 98. It’s just the creepiest weirdest stuff I never get temps 😢😢😢.
I was thinking thats not me, no back pain. Decided to watch anyway. And of course I realized the source of my bloating. Every video is useful! Every topic too. Always learning! Thank you!
Kideny problems and Kidney diease can cause abdominal pain and bloating. Have your kidneys checked with a blood and urine test if you are having abdominal and or liver pain that is chronic. Especially if you are diabetic or suffer from high blood presure. These are two major causes of kidney disease. Do not ignore pain in the abdomen or mid and or lower back.
Thank you for this video. This is one that will be very helpful for me to share with my customers. There are so many people here with liver, gall bladder, and pancreas issues.
In the hospital right now flushing out my system. Everything in this video is spot on. Love all of your videos and how well you explain everything. Thank you for your videos!!
@@faithesprit81 It turned out that this has been my problem for years. I started taking this gallbladder formula about 2 months ago. I will see a new doctor in about a month to have this checked out again to see if he/she sees any difference. Forgot to add I had several small stones as well so interested to see if there is any change there.
@@deniseduffey843 I went for that problem. Had a HIDA CT and ultra sound before. I have Gallbladder dyskinesia and sludge and it triggered acute pancreatitis. My GB only functioning at 7% so that sludge is seeping out to my liver and pancreas causing lots of damage so I have to take out my GB unfortunately. But your daughter should def have a better chance at healing her GB by diet change, taking the right supplements etc 🙌🏼
@@dontbreadonme9213 hi. Was there any reason 4 the amount of gb sludge? Did you have high cholesterol? I've had high cholesterol & I also have Irritable Bowel Syndrome & have had chronic diarrhoea since a PTSD in 2012. Maybe it's to do with my GallBladder the Drs don't seem to think it is but my microbiome is up the creek, too many xrays & antibiotics - im sort of getting scared to go to any doctors now the past few years, im a bit over them plus my General Surgeon u saw for 15yrs thought I was bunging the diarrhoea on & whenever I had blood tests for being so tired shed say "oh your Bilirubin count is very high, I wonder why" then she'd give me pain opiates & meloxicam & send me on my way, like I was a hypocondriac
This explains it. I have gallstones and I have all these symptoms 🤦🏻♀️ thank you doc. I need to take it out because it’s ruining my life little little.
I went to the ER today for upper abdominal pain ( center) and upper back pain. In 2020 I had my gallbladder removed (had stones), so they went ahead and did blood, urine, ultrasound and ct. Everything came back normal and was prescribed pantroprozole (funny tho they asked what my last meal was and it was pozole) and Pepcid. My pain returned twice after I was released. Pain last about an hour or 2 (feels like forever). They are thinking I have acid reflux or gastritis. Hoping it’s not. Guess I got start watching what I eat. I do have fatty liver too. My pain is about a 7/8 and weird thing is, I also feel super hungry at the same time. But who wants to eat when you’re in pain. This is the downside to getting old.
Veronica, I had this. They finally discovered I had S.O.D...had ercp surgery on my common bile duct that comes off pancreas. All better. Hope your feeling better. Just wanted to share my experience Incase you are still suffering.
I have pain on/in the lower right , and feel starving , even after trying to eat , I get the hungry feeling , I've tried eating more but that just makes me feel sick, thanks for sharing. Stay Lifted
Have you found any remedy? I also had my gallbladder removed last year and I have fatty liver and gastritis I been experiencing sharp pains in my stomach area specially on the sides I am guessing it is my pancreas or liver have you found any relief or solution?
@@jesus_rt345 actually it just went away. I haven’t changed my diet or anything. I hope yours go away too. But I think eating healthy or eliminating certain foods would probably help. I hope and pray you find relief.
I battle pancreatitis for years I think flair up again I feel nausea again and so pain in the left and I can't do a number 2 but I can pee fine I took some laxative but nothing yet
I realize now that about several years ago, I released a large gallstone myself (my diet wasn’t so great prior to that) when I was taking a lot of Cayenne Pepper capsules. Once the stone was out so many things healed at once, pretty much overnight. Would Cayenne pepper be helpful along side bile salts, or just the cayenne pepper itself? Thanks again for the help.
How does one determine if bile salts are needed in a person without a gallbladder? If a person eats meal, and within an hour needs to use the restroom,. Is this a problem of uncontrolled drainage of bile, since no storage tank, per se, or need for more bile?( Once, you had mentioned in a video, a person could drain too much at a time, or that additional needed)
If you watch all Dr. Berg's gallbladder videos you will see him talk about taking the purified bile salts... but the bilesalts only come after having enough stomach acid. There is also TUDCA... TUDCA is suitable for those without a gallbladder.
Thank you for this. I was diagnosed with a gall stone a few years ago. And now I do have some left upper abdominal pain radiating into the back. Just came in worse during and after a bad cold. This video might help me going forward. Thanks for all that you do.
I have gallstones. I was really vomiting and had pain on my right side. My right shoulder had been hurting and I did not know why until Dr. Berg explained it. My doctor said there was nothing to be done except remove my gallbladder. I said no. But...when I take the gallbladder formula I become nauseous. This also occurs, badly if I take the betaine chi. How can i get rid of the stones by taking the gallbladder formula without the nausea???
Hi I was doing keto and fasting for 9 weeks and felt amazing but I cheated for 5 days and had pain and I went to doc and he said my gallbladder is full of stones but I won’t get it out no way! Gallbladder is important. So I am drinking chanca Piedra ( the stonebreaker) Herbs and they help so much! You need to drink them everyday 3 times and avoid gluten and carbs! Also take bile salts before you eat/with your meal! I hope that my stones will go away. Hmm weird maybe try choline Tablets after meal and wait few days and then try again the bile salts? You also should take omega 3 and drink water with lemon and apple cider vinegar every Day
Your gall bladder is simply a storage pouch for the bile produced by your liver. I am a retired nurse and had laparoscopic surgery to remove my gall bladder in 1992. Had it removed in the early morning and left the hospital in the evening. No more pain and suffering. FYI even after your gall bladder is removed your liver still produces bile for the digestion of fats. I can eat whatever foods I want and without any indigestion.
@@frog9990 Thank you that’s interesting I speak to people who don’t do well after his surgery but then again I don’t know their diet so that might have a lot to do with it
I thought intermittent fasting causes bile to sit in gallbladder too long and concentrate turning into sludge!????? Fasting causes sludge and blockages for some folks !
yes, which lowers the risk of gallstones - gallstones occur when you lose the concentration. Its the cholesterol concentration without the bile that is the culprit
*Amendment to my first post* When I said _"No, it says that in the video"_ I meant no, cholesterol isn't a factor that would aggravate gallstone formations. My post was quite ambiguous - apologies if it caused any confusion.
Hi doc! I was wondering if you could address a sore throat while fasting- Each time I do a prolonged fast the #1 reason I finally give in is simply bc my throat has so much discomfort I just can’t stand it any longer, please let me know if you’ve heard any similar experiences, thank you! :)
Thank you so much Dr. Berg for this video. I have finally got some answers and solutions to help my son who is in the hospital right now with pancreatitis. You are so informative and helpful. 🙏
Im telling you all right now, Dr. BERG knows what he's talking about. 10 months ago ended up in the ER with hell fire burning in my stomach and nausea that was debilitating and even dizziness. Diagnosed with gastritis. I refused PPI. Went to functional doctor every week 10 months got IV treatment. Still felt horrible every day for 10 months. Middle of my stomach, below rib cage and center hurt to touch barley touch it. Long story short, Dr Berg talked about gallbladder sludge and tudca. With nothing to lose, i took my first tudca and in 40 mins, the nausea that palgued me day and noght for 10 months was gone. 3 days taking tudca and milk thistle, burning hell fire stomach GONE. I can now touch my stomach again which tells me my pancreas isnt as swollen as it has been since thinning out my gallbladder sludge. Because the nausea and hell fire was taking center stage and now it isn't, i can feel my gallbladder pain now. Feels like someone sucker punched me in the gallbladder. Dr Berg taught me that gallbladder, liver and pancreas all work together so im naturallu treating all 3. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as i improve everyday!! Dr Berg what else can i do and herbs to take that will strenthen my pancreas? Thank you for being an amazing doctor. Im annoyed to have spent thousdands and thousdands of dollars are er viaits, functional doctor, chirooractor and even an acupunctureist to no avil. A couple of dr berg videos is healing me!! Blessed to have finally figured this crap out!!
I began carnivore diet 7 days ago and I severe upper-right side back-neck pain started 3 days into carnivore. Im not eating carbs, cut out fruits and even vegetables. I'm eating good quality fatty beef, lamb, bacon, eggs and some butter and salt to season. Drinking water. I didn't consume refined carbs not even before beginning carnivore. Why has the carnivore diet caused me this issue in liver-gallbladder which radiates as pain in upper-right back and neck ? No carbs, no junk processed foods, just good quality fatty meat and eggs.
@@HoneyBeeMelithat’s a good question. I’m currently in the hospital with the same issue. Bile sludge and sharp pain in the right rib, diaphragm and back. 2 years carnivore. I believe we may have low stomach acidity which doesn’t trigger bile secretion. The added cholesterol in our diet may not be digested enough resulting in thicker bile. Proper Stomach acidity is key I believe
@HoneyBeeMeli I'm going through the same thing. I'm 7 month carnivore and jyst got my gallbladder taken out but now I have pressure on the right side of my stomach and back, which tells me it's my pancreas now. Surgeon said that if you eat a bad diet for years and then clean it our body can react in this way and make stones.
@@drseanpatrick696. Specialty stores for supplements. Not big box stores, use quality, not fillers. Anytime something is on the high side, and Tudca is, quality and pureness is compromised. Don’t pay for fillers. A doc we know and love…starts with Bee, has a gallbladder formula supplement. Don’t think it’s Tudca, but it worked for me. But face it folks…..it’s processed foods doing this. Salt, sugar, fats, or alternately -sugar, fats, salt.
Good Morning Dr.Berg 🌞 Thank you so much sharing this very interesting information with everyone ! May God continue to bless you all 🙂 ☕ 10/6/2020☕ The Sciatica ( Sciatic ) Nerve pain get tough at times Please help me! I's in my lower back, Legs , or good advice !
I have the same problem, I tried to rub colloidal silver on my injured back and it works but the pain returns. I think it hurts less each time but I'm not sure. My back pain inflames the entire area it hurts including making it hard to use the bathroom due to back pain making pushing out poop cause my back to hurt. If I look at my feet it will make my back hurt in that spot so I went easy on my back to let it heal and it has gotten better. I'm thinking the inflamed back can also cause similar issues outlined in this video.
What a life saver you are . Am suffering soo much right now .I had this some 7 years ago. I was told I had hiatal hernia. But your explanation make much more sense . And at that stage now ones again am going through so much pain. Thank you soo much am gonna get the bile salt.
What is the maximum dose of bile salts per day should we take? I bought a bottle of pancreatic bile salts a couple years ago & it was something like 2000mg or 20;000 that freaked me out (& I threw the large bottle of 200tabs out) as i have only EVER seen in reputable herb supplements doses of 50mg or 120mg in another bottle. Does anyone know the safest dose please?
Got told In endoscope I have a hiatus hernia also. That might be why I feel nauseous & starving sometimes & need to put some food that's easy on the body & gentle for digestion in my tummy. Doesn't have to be very much food, better having smaller meals helps anyway. It usually settles my gnawing pain down.
Could you please share your symptoms? I have pain that radiates from the right side of my abdomen to my back/right leg. It literally feels like my abdomen is stretched on the right side...
@@cmmr5548 I had pain right under my lungs or upper abdomen radiating to my back, even my spine was in pain, I also felt nauseated and do check ur urine color because it can change to darker cuz of gallstone, I recommend u go to the Dr tho. Stay safe, I hope u feel better 💜
I’ve suffered for 7 years of this pain in my back - around my bra strap. Just to the right of my spine. I have been convinced it’s a small stone trapped in my pancreas bile duct - but the doctors can’t find anything on the CT scan or Ultrasound - this video has cemented my beliefs. I suffer from this daily. ❤
And what if its both sides. Center, exact middle of upper stomach and BOTH sides on the back. Around the bra band area (so like upper middle). Randomly, but not so randomly. It happens after i eat certain foods only. But the pain is unbelievable. Emergency room type of pain. It's not even the foods that irritate a pancreas (according to google) but im concerned because the pain is so extreme, i want to know if my health is at risk
Do symptoms go away if you take antacids? my sis had horrible incident with abdominal and a little chest pain one weekend it was relieved finally with antacids. I have GERD sometimes get pain in back and along bra line under breasts chew 4-6 antacids usually relieves me and not lying down too soon after a meal. Good luck 👍🏽🍀
Had a hidascan and it was 71% which is good. Had a C-scan and a ultrasound and nothing is showing. My right side is causing me so much pain. Does anybody out there have any suggestion. I get scoped in a couple weeks. If it shows nothing I don't know what to do. This pain is changing my life.
I am unable to digest any types of fatsLITERALLY! no fat in my diet, my diet extremely minimal has become much worse my question is… [ I do not have my gallbladder ] for eight years now, I am having more pain to the left, my doctor has ordered many tests but with this pandemic I am afraid to go, bc I have a very compromised immune system, i catch EVERYTHING! I am not overweight but, constantly bloated, I feel worse after eating, feel better when I do not, but then I become weak and that causes a lot of other issues, I’m not sure what I should do, Dr. had me on a probiotic for many many many months but things are just getting worse I can’t even eat fish now or veggies, and my food is not digesting it takes a very long time to go through my esophagus if I do not stand while I am eating and turn or twist my body, it’s a scary type of thing, anybody have any suggestions besides going to an emergency room I’d appreciate it.
Hi Cheryl. I tried to eat my last meal early in the afternoon, So can digest properly before bed. If I feel a bit hungry I just have green tea before bed. It's awfull, the doctors don't do much so it is pointless going to them. Study your body and try to eat nutritional things and help yourself. With doctor advice. I take bile salt aswel
Hi Dr. Bird I don’t know if you can answer this or somebody in this thread. I was on Ozempic I had stopped for a couple of months because they were always out running shortage and so my doctor subscribed me the low-dose and the high dose and my pharmacist only had the high dose so I went and I use the high dose and I think when I was twisting the needle, somehow it twisted too much and weeks later on the right side, I was having nauseous so much pain. I was throwing up unstop and I went into the hospital and I admitted myself in there just to be careful and they said that my pancreas was inflamed and then my temperature spiked up, but then it spiked down really quick and they flushed it out with a lot of fluids and they said everything was fine but they never said what was it from because I had pancreatitis. I don’t even know if it came from Ozempic or from something else and my question is I want to get back on Ozempic because my weight has spiked up and I am borderline diabetic, and I have high blood pressure high cholesterol and I need this medicine for my own health and I was looking online and it says it is very rare to have pancreatitis with this medicine but It is possible to start back, but my doctors don’t want me to use this ever again, but I want to use it. What should I do?

Had really bad cramps in the center of my stomach, which then would radiate to my back, but only when my stomach was empty. This happened out of no where after eating a pretty fatty meal and taking an antacid before bed, thinking it'll prevent potential acid reflux at night. Woke up, felt hungry and had a wave of cramping in my stomach that came and went. I was worried it could be my pancreas, but the pain goes away completely after filling my stomach with water or non fatty food. Could taking antacid after eating a fatty meal, cause this temporarily? I'm only 27, I don't feel nauseous when this happen, I'm not getting yellow skin and yellow whites in the eyes, so, I assume I'm in the clear for pancreatic diseases or cancers?
Sometimes my gallbladder pain will often settle down when I drink heaps of water. Are you sure it was pancreas or gallbladder. Btw, I have GORD or acid reflux too but don't take antacids as my stomach acid is too low already & that antacid stuff just perpetuates the underlying condition you originally had when your body was trying to tell you something was not right.
Have Dr Bergs Gallbladder formula or his Digestive Formula instead of antacids & I bet you will be pleasantly surprised. .my burning question is why would you eat a big fatty meal ? Lol That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. I can't eat fatty food except extra virgin olive oil, avocado, fish & some nuts. I used 2b able to eat a whole pkt of Tim Tam chocolate biccys! Triple layered choc I might add! They say it's best to not eat for a few hours & give your body a mini fast through those hours, like from 7pm till 11am or earlier if your body needs food. Protein & lots of vegies in a meal is ideal.(here's me saying this when I will eat rice crackers with cheese for dinner when I'm tired or down lol) & of course coffee, tea or a smoothie to help wake up lol. But we are all human & can't do everything (or in my case anything lol) perfectly for many reasons, like being homeless, feeling hopeless, stressing & depressed, young kids demanding our meal times to suit theirs & possibly just sick & tired of this slog called life. Whichever reason befits the situation you are in, the best thing you can do for your welfare dear one is just try to be kind to yourself. I am trying to learn to love my self & im in my 60s so yes I'm a late starter - I can love my child, my dogs, a stranger in need, a sick bird or others before I care for my own health & needs. Maybe this is the cross I bear. I would like to lay it down & be free & healthy. We ALL deserve to be whole healthy & happy hey xoxoxox Kind Regards from Australia Hope you found out what was ailing you
I have a cyst on my pancreas, it’s doubled in size in six months and have all the symptoms you’ve described but my gi doctor wants to wait another year to get ct scan to see if it’s grown again, meanwhile I barely eat due to the pain afterwards, what can I do ?
Recently around a 2 weeks ago I had severe pain at the left epigastric area that increases after eating, my stool was green like I had no bile. Went to many Doctors none did anything maybe because I look healthy. Honestly, I knew it is pancreatitis, so I did intermittent fasting. I am still not quite ok but better than before
For half a year I had very severe pain once a month. And all of a sudden I started having very severe back and stomach pains that last all the time. There is no time without pain and they get worse after eating. I did a CT and an MRI and the pancreas was perfect on them. Could it still be chronic pancreatitis? Can I have such strong symptoms that I can't function with good results? Have any of you encountered this? What were your first symptoms?
Can a person w/o a gallbladder get those types of stones? My mom was just diagnosed w/chronic pancreatitis. ... (I've been doing Dr. Berg's keto IF since late May-ish and have lost 5 lbs/monthly with a slow metabolism and hypo-thyroid. Feel SO much better!)

I notice when the pain in my liver/gb area becomes more intense or burning. I have pain in my joints and muscles. especially my hands and feet. also my poop turns a greenish brown or yellowish brown color
Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction is the worst pain I've ever experienced. Worse than childbirth! The attacks continue to happen, but sublingual Hyoscyamine taken immediately takes the pain away in about 10 minutes and keeps me out of the hospital. I will try Dr. Bergs diet advice for this condition. Thank you.
For what it’s worth…I take vegetarian digestive enzyme supplements when I’m not eating fresh fruits or vegs bc I believe they help prevent me from getting this type of pain.
mine is lower abdominal pain.that radiates to the lower back pain.and it is due to intestinal problem.however i ever got problem with perotinites when a child, pancreatites, and gall bladder and liver problem as well.Partly due to wrong diet
Wow! Amazing. Love the tidbit on the phrenic nerve and gallbladder issues. I've long had a right head tilt and just emptied an amazing amount of gallstones with a gallbladder flush. Is there anything similar on the left side? Possibly tied with the pancreas? I sometimes have difficulty draining the L side of my head, jaw, etc. in lymph and also have some shoulder/neck issues on that side. With all the pain and pressure in the center left of my abdomen, I had been thinking I had spleen and/or lymph cisterna chyli but maybe it has been the pancreas actually.
Interesting, no wonder why physical therapy, Acupunture and massage aren’t helping me with my symptoms. My right side issues with my back, neck, shoulder, arm, and right abdomen pain are caused by my liver issues.
Just started keto again after a few years of not doing it. After 5 days got sick and had pancreatitis symptoms and pretty bad pains for several hours. Hoping it doesn't continue if keeping on keto, never experienced it before until now.
The video brings up many valid points of what this type of pain could be but one thing that I think needs to be discussed in all seriousness is the fact that these symptoms are also a precursor to life threatening problems such as an MI or AAA. I can’t tell you how many patients I have treated that come in with these exact symptoms and were diagnosed with something major… People need to be encouraged to go to the hospital.
Lol!!!! They’ll come jumpstart your car too 😂. MI stands for myocardial infarction or Heart Attack.... AAA is for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. Like I said in my other comment every point in the video was absolutely valid but if that was the type of pain one of my patients was having I would want them to be properly evaluated to rule out these other two things…
@@jenniferstratton7880 I feel like there is many things that contribute to these pains. I have been having these exact pains and just got out of ER with diverticulitis. I also have gallstones I was aware of but apparently got overshadowed by the diverticulitis
Some people are sensitive to oxalates can also form kidney stones... Dr. Berg has a video on that as well. I stay hydrated because a kidney stone is a horrible pain to experience, I had a small one ~25 years ago that luckily passed after a couple of days and it's still a very vivid and unforgettable memory... You do *not* want to get one!
@Celtic Phoenix You can clear them from the body by reducing them drastically. Sally K. Norton is an expert on this and has youtube interviews which are really helpful around the whole subject. I DO think it also causes urinary and kidney issues as well.
Endoscope surgery dr says I have a cyst in gallbladder along with sludge & possibly stones plus cyst on pancreatic head. They want me to let them take gallbladder out & I don't want it removed. I'm taking Dr Berg gallbladder formula but should I get stronger bile salts as the gallbladder caps aren't a high amount of bile salts. Dr Berg, how much would a phone consult cost me? I've been using your gallstone, k2, adrenal & cortisol & electrolyte nutrients for 3 years & CBD has shrunk from 20mm to 10mm when endoscope done in Nov 22. I have paperwork re what they found & advise etc if I can get a ph referral or zoom thingy. Thanks from Australia
Dr berg I need you to tell where I can find bile salts because everywhere I go they don't have it even at whole foods or can I get it from you because I am having all those symptonsp
Ive had abdominal bloating and a pain under my right rib since June. Drs have been telling me its gastritis, but after multiple tests the Dr said yesterday on no its NAFLD -_-.
@@cmmr5548 Ive been on a keto/IF diet for the last 6 years so I was suprised to have had NAFLD like this. The only thing i can put it down to is -Genetic (2 of my brothers have had liver issues like this). - lack of exercise (lockdown). - Resting a heavy bed desk on my abdomen while workin from home (mistake on my end).
Can anyone advise what they used to help with the severe pain followed after eating? And or recommend a decent priced nutritionalist/coach, in the UK. My mum suffering over 2 years now is constantly in pain, being sick and losing alot of weight at 54. And the doctors are not advising her on what her best cause of action is. Just giving her some pain killers...codene, thiamine and vitamin B along with some other things to help break down fats.
Work up to it slowly .. drink lots of water , have greens powder , Moringa powder glutamine for weeks before hand .. start with 10hrs if that’s all you do for a few weeks .. hydrate well , lemon water , electrolytes too
Another cause for pancreatitis is a pancreatic divisum. It is a congenital condition and cause my painless chronic pancreatitis but has left me with severe epi. It's rare enough but something to look into if the source of the pancreatitis cannot be found.
