The squeaks of the wound low-G string are somewhat annoying and avoidable by using an un-wound low-G such as the Aquila Red Low-G unwound. I have one on my tenor uke and it does make a very tiny noise when sliding on it, but nothing at all like this wound G. (Or maybe it's a wound C string, which also is avoidable.) Nevertheless, it's a great virtuoso performance.
