Yodeling comes from the shepards of the Alps in Switzerland and Austria, who were up high in the mountains with their cows, sheep and goats. Yodeling in Texas seems so out of place ... but in a way it is nice that you keep up the good vibes there.
Oh my!!!! I'm 75 and have, for the entirety of my life, wished I could yodel! I've bookmarked this and am going to keep coming back and back and practicing and maybe I can manage to pull off even a half-way decent yodel by the time I die! THANK YOU!!!
Having gone to high school in the mid-70s, listening to Black Sabbath, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd Etc. I don't know how I got here, but enjoyed it and put a smile on my face, thank you!!
I used to be able to yodel until I got kicked in the throat. Not everybody likes yodeling. But my neighbours did... when I was first learning to yodel they'd smash my windows so they could hear better.
Was in the station bar in Grindewald, (at the Eiger) and I noticed a little statue with german writing with "Jodel" amongst it. I asked the waitress and yes, it was a local jodelling trophy. Within seconds, two or three guys were jodelling quite happily. It's NOT the best beer drinking music available...But, The locals seem to like it.
Thumbs up for every artistic performance, no matter if I like it or not! This one was a good mix of Tyrol and American country music. Sounds good and unorthodox. Thank you!
Good gracious me how interesting and easy it is, bless you. Right I am pressing the button again to hear the next wonderful thing you kindly teach. Thank you, is fun and rewarding, it make you feel great, wow!
I saw sourdough slim with 8th Avenue String Band in the pizza parlor on the North End of Chico up in California in 1979, maybe it was the Old Navy inn I don't remember
