At this br players, especially on gunfighters, will end up slow trying to get kills. Smacking a figther with a 200kg missile is overkill, but so freaking fun 😂

my best game was back before SSPs and missiles when in the IIA I ended up with 6 kills, 3 assists, and 3.8 tons of bombs dropped. I was running an XP booster and I had talisman, 112k xp and nearly 300k credits. I have never even gotten close to that since in any aircraft.

It was pretty fun when France first got added. It was like a heavy fighter especially with its airspace.

@@Hyper_1989 don't forget that when it was first added they were 8.0. I understand the A being moved up as it was just a hunter minus the turn radius, role rate, and slightly worse energy retention. But the B only has bombs, its like the first B-57 or Canberra except it loses the maneuverability for energy retention and speed. I still think in need to go back to 8.0

That's partly because Israel's opponents where kinda ass. Not that the USSR was much better after they were allowed to put some pilots against the Israelis.

It isn't a bias against French jets. French jet designs historically had poor energy retention when at high pull. That is a big part of what made them good in dogfights. In real life, both historically and today, you don't full pull that often and if you do it isn't for that long. Instead you pull hard initially to try to establish a superior position quickly and then when you get to your best maneuvering speed, which will allow you to complete a 360 degree turn in the fastest possible time, you then hold the aircraft in a turn at that speed. French jets tended to have a very dangerous combo of being able to drain their speed quickly to cut inside of an enemy to get position and then had some of the better turn rates at their best maneuvering speeds. That combo allowed them to get into a strong position quickly and then maintain it which would then lead to mistakes from the opposition which led to kills. The problem in game is that most people don't bother not full pulling. They just full pull all of the time. To be fair many don't have a choice. It is either full pull or nothing and when you have that as your options, well French jets mostly go from dangerous to very bad. This is because when a jet drops below its best maneuvering speed it just turns more and more into a brick the slower it gets. This is because these jets were not designed to be maneuverable at low speeds. Thus it isn't that Gaijin is deliberately making French jets bad. It is that the sub-optimal control scheme of mouse and keyboard combined with a lack of proper dogfighting knowledge and skills on the part of the player base takes what would otherwise be a fairly dangerous French fighter jet line and turns them into very poor performing planes in game.

The C-3 Arado is incredibly disappointing, coming from the B-2. The only issue I had with the B-2 was the lack of guns, so I thought the C-3 would be nice! Oh, how wrong I was. The extra engine power is nice, but it's not enough to out-run the jets in the 7.3 range, and the weight sacrifices any maneuverability it had, making it turn worse than an F-84. And the two measly MG 151s do _not_ make up for it.

Yeah i think flareless planes are super fucked. What i did in the F-13 facing A-10s was just climb super high, stay high until im sure they probably all already fired their missiles and then go down and gun them down. Only way. But now the Tornado also exists…

Are you radar locked?

@@frostedbutts4340 The radar will not lock when I press the controls, but it fires rockets when I try to lock and the rocket does not follow the target, I have a mig21 and everything works normally.
