I'm not a "crapple" fan either, but very nice. Great Intro and stunning music. Cool colorful lock and nice pick w/ explanation of "disassembly problem". We still need to hook up
The 72/40 locks are nice, but they can be easily bypassed using a Sparrows ABUS bypass tool. Apparently they are used as LOTO locks and won't be fixed anytime soon. LPL did a video showing the bypass.
Thanks good video , 70 yr.old beginner , still working on master locks 140 ,141 ,& my son gave me a 7040 , I've tried for 2 1/2 months & just can't even come close to opening , it's awful ,thanks , moe
Thanks Chris! It's pretty simple really. Put the lock in the vice, get a bit of footage of it. Remove the lock without moving the camera or vice, throw the lock at the vice. Cut the action just as the lock hits the vice and insert the static footage of the lock before you removed it. Usually there is a lot more leeway when going at full speed, but with slow-mo I had to hit the vice right on the jaws or it looked ridiculous.
It’s really amazing just how good the iPhone is , I do everything to do with RU-vid from mine & can’t wait to get my hands on the 10. Great job on the lock .
Yeah, I don't think I'll ever buy another camera besides the one that is on my phone. They are just too good these days. Thanks for your kind words :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks Potti! If the special effects are "mind blowing" they're mind glowingly bad, LOL I think they're fun though and its a way to add a little levity to the whole thing.
The special effects are mind blowing for a picking video - I'm not watching a James Bond movie ;-) But I love the throw-in-the-vice trick - an now even in slow-motion.
I can't stand Apple but hope the upgrade was worthwhile for you.👍🏽 I do however love these little Abus locks and it's a nice colour too!😁 Quick pick!🍺✌
Thanks man! I really like the color of that one. I'm working on finding a key that fits it so I can key it up. It would be a nice lock to have and use.
nice picking as always! I still got my iphone 7 and my 5 i think SE?? the one that came out after the six. I'll probably wait to upgrade when the iphone XXX comes out 😜
I think this lock has been floating around the picking community for a while, so it's entirely possible that it was just a mistake by someone somewhere when they were repinning it. Of course it might have been factory too. Nobody would ever know unless they picked it I guess.
Thanks SS! I was probably too excited to start playing with the camera on that phone :) I use iMovie for editing but have just about exhausted the features and really find myself wishing I had Final Cut Pro. Many of the little tricks I do with iMove are really abusing the features it has in order to give a unique effect. I will probably upgrade to FCP at some point, but not just yet.
Not actually. Typical master locks have four standard pins in them. This had six pins total and five of them were security pins. While this was not a particularly difficult lock, it really is in a very different league from your average Master.
This lock has made its way to quite a few picker I think. Most likely it was a result of modification or mixup when re-pinning at some point along the road.
