I personally feel the ballbreaker era was his best sound IMO, he added a different style to his singing and even with all the damage he did to his voice he was sitting notes he couldn't hit in 1983

@@jordandean3998 early 1980es his voice was at its peak sharp clear sound.....10 years on the razors edge he sounded like a different singer all together then from there on in he just sounded forced and strained all the power and range had gone

@@fireball8767 I think early 80's, his voice sounded its strongest. After Flick of Switch, his voice sounded pretty bad for awhile like Fly On Wall and Blow up Video. Razers Edge, he learned to not scream every syllable and was able to sound good again....like on Thunderstruck. He often keeps his voice a decibel lower because he has to but he has been amazing how long he can sing the way he does and he still can do it especially now that his hearing is back but the most recent album really shows how often he will do his real low voice now rather than the constant high pitched scream from albums like Back In Black.

@@Bondsback2325 yes 100% agree with that his voice was awesome in thee early 1980es but by this time 1995/1996 you can tell there is a lot of wear and tear on it by now he sounds better on latter albums but let's not forget studio technology is a lot better and a lot more advanced now and yes when he sings live he does sing in a lot lower key now he doesn't even attempt to get up in the high ranges because he knows he can't

In the 1980s Brian Johnson had a more natural “less forced” rock voice which slowly got more crokey as the years led up to the 2000s when he started to get a more softer low pitched note, after stiff upper lip and black ice he has started to have trouble to hit the correct notes to maintain a steady sound and has been doing more damage to it. Personally I like he’s voice leading up to black Ice. rock or bust and power up are good but he is showing he’s age. Respect
