I love how Will has a valid business-case excuse for putting up multiple photos of himself around the house 😂

When I was at the beginning of my paramedic career , "ER" was in it's infancy. It quickly became a popular drinking game to catch errors/mispronounciations/inaccuracies (off duty 😊). Years later I saw an interview with Noah Wylie in which they'd give him a patient scenario and he had to give orders. It was so funny, especially because he wasn't too far off with a lot of them. He made some remark about "Well everybody gets a CBC, a Chem 7, and a UA, right?" 😅

ER is excellent as well. Crichton was an MD although he never practiced.

I think it helps that the medicine wasn't what the plot revolved around (with a few exceptions, of course) so they didn't need to bend it to make it "more interesting". Probably helped that they filmed in a real hospital too 😂

I'm an undergrad at the University of Utah where Dr Gottfried did residency. Last year in my physics class we had a neurosurgeon from the university hospital give a lecture on the physical properties neurosurgeons work with. One of the coolest people ever. I respect the specialty so much.

Oren was so right about those tv shows. E.R. in the 90s and early 2000s was so intense. There is another show that rivals that intensity called: Code Black

Another great ep doc. I'm an RN, decreasing my hours toward retirement after 30 years in anaesthetics and PACU (in Australia). Your portrayals of OR doctors are pretty spot on. 👌

Dr. Gottfried reminds me of the neurosurgeons I MA for. They're the 7:30 am-5 pm-type surgeons, and they mostly deal with complex cases of neck and spine. I also have 2 neurosurgeons who specialize in brain tumors.

I have a rare disease and a really rare disease. The rare disease has yet to show up on TV. The really rare one showed up on ER and the main story line gave dangerous misinformation that would scare symptomatic patients away from getting a diagnosis and treatment. Still annoys me.

I and lots of people enjoy this type of content especially from you! I know it’s annoying to have random strangers give you advice but if i may. Your thumbnails for your shorts are really good! However these longer form content like this or longer ones look a little too uniform and not eye catching enough. I believe this comes from the need to look professional and medical because that’s the content you provide but it can come off as a tad out of date and not so eye catching enough. I do really enjoy all your content and the longer videos u make I just thought I’d give my humble advice. Feel free to delete me if u want I only meant for helping ❤

Thats why he needs to interview Doug Farrago. Doug can turn the place into a garage if you let him. He has also been carrying the spear for physicians online and offline for years and has been invited to speak on many occasions.

I've never seen a neuro - surgeon but have had neurology appointments. In my experience almost all neurology docs are smug, arrogant, ego driven and mostly rude.

I didn't see that. Some were oddballs but nowhere near as malignant as you describe. The worst was probably an older guy who was obviously biased against women. If I referred a woman to that group I specified that I didn't want her to be seen by him. He never took their complaints seriously. The staff definitely understood my request.

I've seen some neurologists, as a relative of someone who had to see them. And ... maybe a tad smug, but other than that really OK. That said, though, I'm from Germany. And our calibration of the emotion scale is a bit different than e.g. America X'D (understandably, with that mad system)
