Accused Killer Claims Real Estate Firm Framed Him for Reporter’s Murder

The former Clark County public administrator accused of killing a Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter appeared in court Tuesday. Robert Telles - who is representing himself - told a judge that a local real estate firm framed him in the murder of Jeff German. German was stabbed to death outside of his home in 2022. Investigators believe Telles killed German due to previous and ongoing investigations that German was bringing to light in his journal publications.

I’ll never forget the police sending him home wearing nothing but a hazmat suit while his clothes were being processed for evidence. Clearly making sure they could connect him to the crime scene before finally arresting him only hours later.
