It's crazy to think we went from a two year gap between Phoenix Wright and Great Ace Attorney, to a three year gap between Great Ace Attorney and Apollo Justice, to only an eight month gap between Apollo Justice and Investigations.

The first game isn't brilliant though, it has some good concepts but only I1-2 and I1-4 are good while the fith case after an awsome start is a complete letdown after the first Shina half, what a way to start weak end in an anticlimactic way. Donno about the second one as I was waiting for this to play it.

@@edwardsuou that’s true, I mean it was okay sure but not “brilliant.” Investigations 2 is a massive step up though, everything ties in pretty nicely with a good twist in the final chapter. My only complaint is that I felt like the third chapter dragged on quite a bit

@@realperson9951 Legal issues. This is Capcom's IP and the company will never acknowledge fan projects. Even if the fan team were to offer fan translated names for free, it'd be sending a message that it encourages fans to do whatever they want with Capcom's assets, which is clearly NOT what it wants (otherwise you wouldn't be buying this). Remember this is Capcom who issues DMCA takedowns left and right to fan projects, and now it can do so if it so chooses.

@@THEBITEOF87-k5z And even if the fan group willingly offers for free, Capcom legal team still doesn't want to sanction any fan projects or appear to set a precedent that it's OK to do fan translations before an official release. In fact Capcom has been issuing DMCA takedowns against many fan projects, translations or dubs all the same. Capcom is showing mercy by pretending the fanlation doesn't exist. Otherwise Capcom is well within its rights to sue the fan group for modding without permission (even though it'd be a dick move), not the other way around.

It took 13 years, but we're finally getting the final unlocalized/lost to time AA installment--Investigations 2 is finally leaving Japan and gracing the rest of the world! As a fan of the series since I played the first on DS... after all these years, it makes me so happy to see that the entire series has received a Western release! Thank you so much for not forgetting about us, Capcom! AAI2 is one of the best games in the series and absolutely deserves to be experienced by everyone ❤

Absolutely fantastic news. They look so good in motion. Finally my favourite Ace Attorney game Investigations 2 can officially be played worldwide. I hope the translation does this game all the justice it deserves. Absolute love letter to the past games mixed with fantastic new twists and turns, with every case and major character having a purpose. Everyone can see the incredible adventures of Miles Edgeworth, Kay and Gumshoe in all their glory, including confronting the shadows of Mile's past to become the prosecutor he has become today. The series so far all available in addition to Ghost Trick. Thank you Capcom.

They've renamed Sebastian Debeste to Eustace Winner and Raymond Shields to Eddy Fender. Not sure how legal it is from a copyright perspective, but please include an option for the fan-translated names. Or, if nothing else, someone will surely make a mod restoring the fan-translated names; but, possibly the entire script.

I just like the fact that it's gonna release on Sept 6th - a....somewhat significant date in the series (+ it's also around my bday - which as a child who first stumbled onto the game, I couldn't stop thinking "why?? 😭" when I reached that point (......also as a non-American, I also had a similar reaction to a certain infamous incident, feel like I'm showing my age here but...whatever, ✨~nostalgia~✨ (right??)) - my memory was faulty, so I double checked, and it was not DL-6, but still, in many other ways, 'somewhat' significant) So anyway, I was very surprised and, as always, late to the party, But very pleasantly surprised.
