I love how throughout the game everyone act like Trigger is jesus or something and expect you to pull miracles out of you ass even if you suck at the game.
@@namenotfound614 tbh it's a big part of the appeal. Being able to watch Your Dude go from "Okay, Your Dude 1. Carefully follow my lead and you might survive your first mission, *kid*" to your allies going "Holy shit that's Your Dude 1! This battle's won!" and your enemy going "Oh fuck oh shit it's Your Dude 1! Throw everything we have at him KILL THAT MUTE SON OF A BITCH RIGHT NOW!"
11:52 I think this part, every fighter flying up towards the deep blue sky, missiles flying towards one point, music crescendos, is beautifully cinematic
I find that Mihaly scene old, sick at the bed a bit sad... Stuck at the land, never ever again felling the greatness to being freely on the sky... But he was too old anyways. And the ending is incredibly beautiful.
Minor question: Who's gonna be punished for bring up this total mess? As far I can see, first the princess, second that Belkan scientist, then that old bastard I hammered down into ground whose name is Mihaly.
GeneralWildDog The princess Cossete made an mistake and she was blinded by the believ that Osea is always the enemy. She dind’t reconised the meaning of the Space Elevator. The Belkan scientist was just wanting an revenge to these countries who fucked up Belka. Mihaly was an king without nation, his only interest was the sky and doesnt matter who the enemy was. I think that Mihaly wasnt necessarily evil, he was just doing what he do best, untill another ace replaced him, that is called Trigger. BTW good question anyways.
I always think Blaze and Trigger is the same person. I even think every Protagonist in Ace Combat is the same person of different identities. Ace Combat utilizes philology of Doom: You are the Doomguy in the sky, the ultimate ace of each game is supposed to be you.
That ruined the mission for me lol, I crashed several times on that part so the game moved the cursor from “retry checkpoint” to “return to main menu” option and I had to do it all over again. That ruined the immersion and epic feeling of that mission for me and when I finally completed it after crashing over and over again at that damn destroy the drone and fly upwards I was completely done and didn’t even cared about the last cutscenes. Great game still but that last part sucks ass
I got chills when i noticed that in the Andersen carrier cutscene there was the same cloudy sky from the last Kestrel take off from ac5. Did anyone else notice that?
The Aces At War book says that two models were planned for the ADF-11F RAVEN: an autonomous mother drone and a manned aircraft. The manned model has TLS and QAAM (also probably those weapon UAV's as its third special weapon).
Alex Moor well I think ace combat 8 or what ever they chose to call the next one should allow playable drone jets along with normal piloted jets it’d be a nice mix
Lore and Actual Game are different two worlds. No matter what printed materials say, what we really need is "It's Playable in Game". And for a side note, super-fighters from previous games are NOT always carried over into next game, for example CFA-44 from Ace Combat 6 is not featured in Ace Combat 7. Now our only hope is some MOD team can make a MOD of all previous super-fighters playable.
Still, it gives me hope that it might get added in as DLC. And to be honest, I'd much rather see what it can do, rather than have the FALKEN return (and just for the record, I love that plane).
Well, it isn't an uprising as such, the AI wouldn't take over the world but it would kill every combat unit without Erusian IFF. Which would be nuts given the state of civil war the continent would just turn into a fortress that's on fire from within. It's also the same technology from Ace Combat 2 where Grunder supplied (and probably agitated into action) the Usean rebels with AI fighters, the Zone of Endless, or ZOE. It's the same project that's resulted in most of the unmanned drones in the whole series. You can even see the ZOE project logo on some of the equipment in the cutscenes, Grunder was aiming to make the ultimate evolution of the system.
@@ZETAPLUSA70 I don't know if Erusian IFF was malfunctioning. Their civil war would cause a lot of issues determining who's on your 'side', but it's a really tremendously daft thing to link your IFF to something as easy to KO as a satellite, it kinda strikes me as something Osea would do and everyone else baulk at.
@@Parabueto The IFFs on the Erusean side is definitely knocked out as it was originally Osea's plan to destroy their military link when they had successfully captured Farbanti at the same time
Noah Partic that’s a good point just one flaw, the main character usually a new pilot with little experience but exceptional skill. You can hear it from how they talk to you. Second. Blaze is Osean I doubt he’d be let into another countries military considering he’s supposed to be dead officially. Third, the reason you always play a silent character who’s face you never see is because the developers wanted to place you the player in the role of the main character.
Noah Partic I sure as hell do lol. Not gonna lie that Ace Combat was one of the inspirations for joining the Air Force 😂 Another thought I had was what if Blaze was Nagase’s co-astronaut when she went to space. Or even the whole Razgriz squad went to space together. I’m one of those who ship a BlazeXNagase relationship lol. Part of me likes to believe that at the end of Ace Combat 5, the little girl reading the book was Blaze and Nagase’s daughter.
Definitely the hardest mission in the game. Playing it is a pain both physically and mentally for me, as chasing after the two drones with the Su-57 or the X-02S is definitely frustrating and straining on the body, it's almost as if you are actually flying a fighter plane and you are fighting very agile opponents that you have trouble keeping up with them to the point the body is suffering from the G-forces.
I managed to save Sol 2 once while Wyverning, sadly I think it was a fluke since he doesn't appear in the ending cutscene. A shame, it would've made for a neat secret ending if you save him.
He actually does pop up, parallel to Seymour. Both ran SU-30’s right? And they were the only Eurasians that survived the encounter so it has to be him.
@@drakeday731 A couple generics survived, Sol guys use the black flankers and I've only ever seen the one during the cutscene. Although given that the dialogue actually changes depending on whether or not Wit survives, I guess they ran out of time before they could make the alternate scene.
Those drones are a nightmare even on Easy mode. Whoever on the dev team thought it was a good idea to program enemies that move in ways that shouldn't even be possible; there is no middle finger big enough!
Beat AC7 last weekend ( I know late to the game) man this mission pissed me off so much due to the tight spaces and I just kept crashing in the actual elevator part but when I did it I was just so happy. What a fantastic game.
Additionally to the first reply. Score ranking is determined by both time and score. Unless it's a score attack mission, then and only then is it only about score.
this game feels pretty much like gundam with the japanese dub on. colorful wingman(s), veteran ACE rival, waifu princess and the protagonist is the super ACE pilot tasked with the mission to save the world. couldnt get more anime than that
I always loved the national emblems and even the word nation struck out with the sin tallies. Its no longer about nations. Everybody on both sides came together and are now rallying around trigger. The worlds last best hope.
I remember that feelings. My heart stop in a sudden. I hear her voice. Nagase ! Its really her voice the exact same voice from the unsung war. Its Nagase !!!
Anyone else think it'd be a cool Easter egg if when you fly the F14 with the Razgriz paintjob in this mission, you could get some hidden dialogue. Maybe Nagase recognizing the plane and thinking trigger is Blaze?
I hope we have Electrosphere remake, a proper one with it's excellent storytelling, not the butchered editions that we westerners were given. If not, I hope for AC8 to be a bridge to Electrosphere.
I just thought of something after playing my 3rd playthrough, what if Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere is the present day and all these other Ace combats are just history lessons on the events that lead up to Electrosphere and AC7 is just the next historical event?
It's supposed to be a "Strike" Wyvern. So the backseat guy would be doing all the stuff relating to the targeting pod, possibly managing Ewar suites and the like, not to mention giving the pilot a break and taking over in long periods of flying. It is possible to do it all with one person but it's a lot of work.
@@tennoshenaniganizer9234 He'd certainly be doing the Air to Air shooting, air to ground I don't really know. The backseat guy would certainly help identifying and locking up targets though.
Wow, little razgriz reference there at the start. Edit: this story's a lot like ac5 when you think about it. You get accused of a crime and branded a demon, only to clear your name and be hailed a hero. just like razgriz.
I couldn’t get through the space elevator and restarted the entire mission with a lot of different planes but in the end, I could have just used an f14 tomcat because that’s the plane that I used to beat the game💀
You would have made a good combat pilot. You understand the "geometry" of dogfighting well. Great game btw, wish there'd be a stream of content though, even if its paid.
These drones are a pain. They can pull off all those PSMs at over 1.000 km/h while your fighter can only perform them under 500... UGH! Thanks for the build guide!
I finished the first 7 UAVs at 20 minutes and 3 seconds, the room underneath the space elevator finished with 25+ seconds and IT STILL GIVES ME A RANK INSTEAD OF S
if princess survived a missile in her face can't say it's surprising if Harling survived. I mean, princess was hit by a missile that is strong enough to knock her airtight helmet off her and likely destroyed her parachute, how hard could it be to survive a crash
@@shepherdlavellen3301 TLS and PLSL have their own parts which don't effect the EML. The EML has its own set of parts which do the exact same thing as the TLS and PLSL but don't affect the laser weapons.
Whats funny about this video to me is that Scrap Queen knows how to do maintenance on a top secret experimental craft. Sure she can make educated guesses with the experience she has but its still kinda funny to me.
These things man... Mihaly was tough, but these things were figuratively and LITERALLY flying circles around me. Weren't they named after Odin's pet ravens?
What's so perfect about ADF-11 is how its virtually impossible to hit it with a missile so the laser becomes the ONLY viable option. That final hit 13:04 must've felt so satisfying.
TL;DR:I love it, and the reason the wings fold is because it's more realistic. Imo I love it, find it satisfying watching it fold and unfold, and I love how it looks both ways, but they do it to reduce drag, because if less surface area is exposed, the less energy required to accelerate, so the wings fold to do that and the tail goes behind the wings in order to not slow the jet. This is why the F-14 had foldable wings. It's more realistic for a jet to be going 3k kph. The only problem there is, is that apparently the part of the wings that fold; would need seriously strong hydraulics to fold forward into the wind.
Wait, Nagase's in space, in a spaceship callsign Pilgrim 1? Does that mean Blaze, Grimm and Snow (Razgriz Squadron) a are possibly in the same spaceship this whole time and are just returning now?
So it seems like the first phase of the mission requires you to complete it before the 19 minute or the 15 minute mark. Which is next to impossible without lucky EML shots. Attempted this mission multiple times with the F-22 with QAAMS, X-02 with EML, and SU-57 with PLSL, and no luck.
I feel like it’s possible to tell an AC player from non-AC players in any game with flying because of the ridiculous maneuvers we can perform. ‘That depends on if you consider Noob5lAy3r or GodGamer a singularity.’ ‘Both are. What happens when you get two singularities in the same server?’
