I really didn't get it, is that speech from AC04 or here? I was busy doing the mission and didn't pay attention to the chatter, did they reveal who is mobius 1? or just added mobius one birthday as today oct 1?
+French Sir I honestly dont think so, it may start up based off the incidents that ended the "story". I want to see it be based on everyone results, like every mission completed by every player inches us towards the resolution of the game.
I can see how Infinity is a prologue. I also like that play on words at the end, originally it was "The day day our sky fell, the heavens split to create new skies." which made the players think it was referring to the original Ulysses disaster, but at the end it's changed to "That day our sky fell, the heavens split to create new skies." which means it was actually referring to the second Ulysses disaster not the first. The Mobius teaser also makes sense because the story thus far has pretty much been a lead up to Ace Combat 4 because a large cause of the Usean Continental war was because of refugees and Erusea's refusal to take a portion in. Ironically in this world "Erusea" aka Usean Federation which is mostly comprised of Eurasian territory, was actually made up of refugees. Of course now there are many routes that could be taken, The Usean Federation could just be Erusea and the UN could be ISAF or could The Usean Federation actually survive to the next campaign and have an civil war within itself, maybe in this Usean War Iyuli is the new Erusea. There are so many places they could take this, I just hope they don't ruin it.
***** Unfortunately, Infinity's producer (Kazutoki Kono) stated that the future of the franchise hangs on how Infinity sells. If it tanks, Bandai WILL axe the franchise for good - and while it already sold a few million copies, I heard the EULA was updated in September with the info that Infinity will only run for a year. Still, we can hope.
I know I'm a bit late to the conversation, but Infinity isn't a prologue to anything that the main games cover. The main games (ones with a number in their title) take place in the fictional world of Strangereal, an alternate version of Earth. The geography and politics are different there and the countries and history aren't the same as the Infinity universe. While there are plenty of references to the other games in Infinity, Infinity is not directly tied to them story-wise in any way.
I don't understand. I feel like a lot of details in the story were missing. Is Mobius 1 the Butterfly Master? Why did the terrorists attack and what were their motives? What happens to all the pilots? I can't see a "Mission 9" in the videos on the side. Is this seriously where it all ends?
This REALLY didn't feel like an ending mission to an AC game. I know Infinity was more about the arcade and getting the community to take part in events but even so the campaign feels like they didn't even try. The majority of the missions are simply recycled missions from before (for craps sake they didn't even bother calling it something other than Stonehenge) and none of them really feel like they're building to anything. Every mission, even this final one, feels like it's just a random mission pulled somewhere from the middle of one of the other games better campaigns with no real build-up or climatic finish. I really want to like this game as they clearly took at least some of the complaints people had about Assault Horizon to heart and tried to fix them. But it feels like they either had a lack of funding or production time because the whole affair feels halfbaked. Oh well.
Goldenkitten1 Infinity feels like 6 previous games blend into one, with dressing of latest game engine. Nicknames, music, plot twists, emblems maps, names, technology (coffin system)... I played this series through Air Combat to Infiniti, and I must say that this is too much for me. It is just wired.
Goldenkitten1 The ending portion I believe feels more olike a teaser then anything else. I believe that, Im only guessing, that this game is the Prelude to the future release of the next Ace Combat game. I believe that it may be a remake or a retelling of the game Ace Combat 4 Shattered Skies.. Though it is missing Megalith, Excalibur, XB-0 Hresvelgr, Chandlier. I think there might be more but I'm unsure. What I do know is that it takes some of the aspects from Ace Combats 4, 5, 0, and 6, but based on the more realistic setting like in Assault Horizon . So yeah I believe that this game is made more as both a filler and a pre-lude game to a future release of Ace Combat for the PS4/Xbox one though I have a feeling that it may be PS4 exclusive.
Goldenkitten1 More of a love letter to the fans. The game was unfinished and the group focused on Ace Combat 7. If anything Ace Combat Infinity will probably get a sequel to conclude the story.

This was a great installment and lead in to the return to strangereal through 7. Especially with AC4 being my start, though I’m sad to just realize the servers are now down for this...
Welll... she's like the only character in game with a somewhat non-one dimensional personality/story haha AC Infinity's story is a joke, to be honest, and I wish they would go back to making true campaign and story lines with characters I actually care about, like AC04, AC5, and AC0 :/
"I can't hold it!" is a pretty weird thing to say in the context of asteroids falling. There really isn't much wiggle room between "not being hit by an asteroid" and "being annihilated by an asteroid instantly"
jdnev001 You have to imagine to pressure waves and air displacement when large meteors come barreling at you at speeds that put the fastest rocket or jet to shame.

What you are missing here is a key component to that last "Mobius 1" Scene Look closely! there appears to be "red alert" lights going across the emblem multiple times. Maybe Mobius 1 Fights with you, because the emblem has red alert signs, typically meaning he is being attacked... OR it could in fact mean he fights against you, because you are currently attacking USEA (the country he reCLAIMED for ISAF)

i almost want to say wardog would win only because of how emotional shamrock got while flying wardog squadron as a whole was more haha grounded and stable although i have one question are you concidering only talisman and shamrock or the others (sky kid etc) vs wardog?

Benny Tran I think garuda squadron is more superior than wardog because wardog squadron members like barlett and nagase, chopper has been shot down for once chopper died of course, as garuda why I am preferring garuda compared to wardog because they are only 2 and in ace combat 6 you can even command your friendly forces like allied attack or allied cover etc which is not found on ace combat 5
im suprised they only had 8 misions till the ending hopefully they add more or at least make a second game but ive realized the game is free so if there gonna be more levels there probably gonna sell the game
if you look closely at 22:00 you can see COFFIN system and as for the evil Mobius, i don"t think so because she said that she found a worthy opponent, so maybe he fights alongside you rather than against. Although, it would prove interesting if you did fight against him.
I think she was referring to Reaper, since after Far Easter Front his emblem gains a red infinity ribbon. Also, Reaper is apparently Mobius One in the Infinity universe.
Wouldnt the fastest way to get rid of the OLDS be to appeal to the space committee that its being used as a weapon and get clearance to take it down and send that f-15 with the anti-satellite missile to take it down?
Nick Fury I'm pretty sure the OLDS was meant to be an asteroid diverter... Until somebody killed all the people inside the space station and fired laser beams at space rocks.
So that's where Butterfly Master's hiding. Pretty clever girl to be commanding the drone from so far away so expertly. But, someone clear up my ignorance, who is it people are referring to as Mobius 1 in this video? I've played AC4 but from some of the comments, it sounds like they're saying Butterfly Master's Mobius 1 or something.

Yup Ace Combat in my opinion is the only game that is 1 original, 2 only game of its type to survive the horrors that is FPS and 3 has the best controls for piloting planes thus far.
does anyone how how the Elite mercenary Contract works, I purchased it, it shows it in the item list in the game, but it doesn't seem to be working,, I am not getting any contract credit bonuses after missions, so I would like to know is ther more I have to do before it activates, I only bought it like an hour ago
you have to activate it so it says 12 hours left check your hangar, then play co-op or tdm and you will get double score credits, use it if you have minimum 30 fuels to 50 and be sure to play 8 hours to 12 hours or else it is wasted, it's just 2$ anyway

Yeah. I can't believe how different her character is in this game from AC5. She used to be sweet and compassionate, but now she's cold, rude and insults you all the time. What gives, Namco??
+Alexander Seldes Kei Nagase is an injoke that references Ridge Racer's Reiko Nagase. She appeared in AC2 (Wingman), 3 (A terrorist Group member and entirely different person, so this is hardly the worst version of her), 4 (The same Kei Nagase from AC2, retired and becoming a commercial pilot), 5 (Like, Obviously, though again, a different person) and Assault Horizon (Background Easter Egg and Character Blog Mascot). So this is an entirely different version of her, and like I said, at least she isn't a member of a terrorist group.

You should watch the date of the vid. At this time it wasnt confirmed its SOLG. Coulda been Megalith because it can fire large missiles that can interrupt asteroids flightpaths, forcing them to fall into the earth's atmosphere ;)

Well supposedly, this is the final mission. But to be absolutely 100% sure on that...I just don't know, we just have to wait till Operation Future Prospect is underway.
