Plus I keep saying that the Ace family might want to rethink this considering they've advertised their event as a "cross between Disneyland and Coachella". Using corporate names like that is serious shit and if anyone should be worried about lawsuits, it ain't Sloan. I'm quite sure if Disney and Coachella knew that family was using their names without permission, they would be shitting themselves. They can't pay for their house much less for Disney level corporate lawyers.

Ravelry is the name of the website and it's common to change things like "Avatar" to "Ravatar", to include the website. The owners of the site got a cease and desist from the IOC and made us change the name. I mean that's so petty, especially since there's items for sale that benefit the Special Olympics. Can you imagine what Disney would do? The Ace family have no idea that they just kicked a hornet's give because this is going to bite them in the ass.

First off Law Firms don’t send Cease-and-desist over Email. They send a Letter with the Law Firms Logo on it. Just like in English class, Lawyers have the Red Pen, and Mark up the Mistakes.
That isn’t true. Sloan actually states in his video that he gets cease and desist letters all the time over email. One time he got an email form of a cease and desist and then a week or two later received a physical copy.
But ofcourse ticket sales slows down after they tell they have sold out.. But ofcourse they need someone else to blame that for.. it can't have nothing to do with that they announced that they sold out...
Family! You missed one point that he was pointing out. In the wording of the cease and desist they called his channel "Sloa4n" and that's incorrect. His channel name is "Slo4n". He also posted a weird video at 4amish about a weird incident about that happened to him and he's crying and scared.

I think the letter was written by the ACE Family. Just the wording seems sketchy. Typically an official legal letter would not keep listing ACE Family over and over. Also the letter lists SLOA4N instead of his RU-vid name SLO4N. A real lawyer would not make such a rookie mistake. This is purely a scare tactic. There are at least 4 different You Tube channels which have been saying the exact same thing.

I watched Sloan's video in response to your video defending him first, and I was so proud and pleased that I not only support Sloan, but H3 and the whole crew as well. You all doing amazing work and the good ones (you guys, Sloan, Madcatster and other YTubers who expose this sick family) stick together and support one another and I'm so h3re for it.
I do not think a serious set of lawyers would call themselves a counsel. I've never seen paper work from this kind of court case, but I have never seen a lawyer call themselves counselors. They usually call other lawyers counselors in order to point out the lack of real power another lawyer actually has

Yet again RU-vidrs coming through with the weakest lawsuit known to man. What the fuck are they thinking they are gonna get out of this? Even if they were to somehow win this non-suit, what do they expect to receive in compensation from him? He doesn't look like he has the kind of money to be worth a year plus in court and tens of thousands in lawyer fees.
When you have notice that a lawsuit may be filed, you do have to preserve the evidence regarding the potential case though the letter is really sus....i doubt a real lawyer sent that. -source: I am a (waiting to be barred) lawyer
Newly minted JD here. To me, the letter reads like a bad lawyer wrote it. There's stuff in it that I don't think a nonlawyer would include that their legal writing professor probably taught them. But it is definitely bad work.

Im no expert on law and shit like this, but could this be like a slapp lawsuite? Like Ace are aware that they cant win, but maybe they still try to scare him or tire him with a long, stressy, expensive lawsuit.
Something like this could be avoided in the future by saying and titling things like “appears to be a scam” appears is simply an observation, not an accusation!

This is a scam. I have an English degree and some of the word choices in this statement make no sense. Spoliation? Why don’t they just say spoiled or spoiling? People that use too many fancy words to try to get their point across are covering up for the fact that they don’t have a point at all.
