Acer Switch 10e Keyboard Dock Problem WORKAROUND EASY

You are my hero! I've had problems with the keyboard connection for probably a year. I've spent countless hours disconnecting and reconnecting, turning the computer on and off and still only had partial successes. It took me roughly three seconds to slowly connect the right side first and lower it down. Thank you so much!! I was starting to believe my tablet was almost done for good.

Thanks Jeffrey for this speedy easy trick. The problem just occurred today. After watching your video, I tried using a double-sided tape and did a 2nd attempt of covering 3 left pins instead of 2 left pins (it doesn't work covering 2 pins when I did a 1st try). Then it works! Being an IT dummy, I need not dismantle the Acer tablet PC for any internal DIY repair which I fear I may damage any internal component. Once again, thank you very much! :)

OH MY GOD YOU SAVED MY LIFE! I had a non working keyboard for years now and your workarounds worked great! I did both, cover the pin and the slow insert right to left; slow insert seems to do the trick the most ^^ Edit: My 2 in 1 tablet is an Acer one S1001 Clone ( exact same machine but with another branding, sold in south america under at least 2 local brands) but it is the same machine down to the last screw. the simptoms were also exactly the same: I had this since 2015 and got worse with time until i gave up on it. (even got myself a bluetooth key%mouse) Thanks again!

Works for me but by covering two pins instead of one pin. This starts happening just few days ago.. might be after Windows update. Currently i am using win10Home32. Still thanks for workaround trick. I use keyboard very less, but this trick is handy in case needed.

Hey Jeffrey First, thank you very much for the workaround! Second, i have another issue, when the dock is connected, my device won't boot, but will stay stuck on the acer boot logo. Clean install of windows 10 32bit + the most recent bios upgrade and drivers etc. Do you have any findings in that area aswell? Thanks! Bnaya

My tablet detects the keyboard, but the keyboard as well as touchpad not working, what can be the issue, what u think sir.

i tried slow connecting works great but i more like tape method but its not working my tape is coming out or just strings cut this and my tablet from pc little bit coming out maybe cuz of this its not connecting cuz its going back

How about hiding keyboard from the touchpad as it is extremely annoying to have it pop up on the screen everytime im trying to type my document

Merci , cela fait deux ans que je cherche une solution pour résoudre ce problème. J'ai contacté à plusieurs reprises Acer cela m' a coûté pas mal d' euro pour la hot line sans rien résoudre. Alors vraiment merci. Je me demande comment as tu fait pour trouver cette solution d'isoler le premier plot. Tout fonctionne et beaucoup plus rapide.

i fixed the problem by removed harddrive under the keyboard. buy usb adapter connect hdd as an external. quick fix :D

I have the same problem, it's so suck. too bad acer doesnt response this to fix, I loose my charger and their cannot find the charger for me to buy. Can you inform me the specs of this 10 e charger? For this time I am using 5.2V and 2A charger from my smartphone.
