1. Go at a fairly slow and comfortable pace to analyze each questions and reduce chance of careless mistakes. 2. Read each answer choice 3. Two types of marking like a circle and square to represent what you are unsure about and what you are completely unsure about 4. Don't choose the average answer...read the exact question before picking the answer (usually the last sentence) 5. What specific concept is the question referring to...what does the test maker want you to pick 6. Creatively view the question in many different perspectives and contexts 7. Find a trend in what the test maker does more often rather than a general principle of picking c for example 8. Watch for questions with "always" or with grammatical errors. 9. Choose the answer that has better reasoning. 10. Don't overthink... usually follows general principle or depends on what your test maker expects from you 11. Think about what you would do differently when you get the test back to avoid making that mistake in the first place. Great video man. Keep these tips coming!

Gold Nuggets I got from this video: 1. Take your TIME (if u can) 2. Eliminate wrong answers 3. Mark questions with symbols if unsure of answer 4. Yes! I use a similar method! I would usually examine each answer and figuring out the context it would fall into! If it doesn’t relate to the question, I cross it out! I’m usually left between two options, and I then I take logic + knowledge and apply it! got me straight A’s throughout high school, and ALMOST throughout undergrad!

Hey Shaman, I really enjoyed the video! By chance could you comment on your interpretation of why sometimes one may eliminate an answer choice right off the bat (with no rhyme or reason) and come to learn that it was the correct choice. Often times this happens to me, and for some reason the correct choice will be the only answer I eliminated... What are your thoughts? any strategies for avoiding this?

Hey Shaman, I am currently preparing for MCAT and I am really struggling with the CARS section. I tried different strategies and practice passages everyday but I am not able to get more than 25-27 questions right. Any advice? what can I do differently?
Shaman!!! Plz respond I need help. When should I write my MCAT? I am currently in second year university and was going to write it this summer. The alternative would be I write it next summer and focus on my extra curriculars this summer. So the real question is, is whether my current extracurriculars are strong enough to get me into med school. My top 3 extra curriculars right now would be that I am researching with a professor from my university, my volunteer work in ER and gen surgery, and a shadowing/observership position this summer with a general surgeon. If I took this summer off (no MCAT) I would hopefully find a good paying extra curricular, but that's about it... unless you have any other suggestions?
+Chris Capello Generally people take the MCAT a little later in college (I took mine at end of 3rd year). This way the classes you take 3rd year will help you on your MCAT and you have more time to study for the exam. My default recommendation would be to lightly study for the MCAT this summer (read the Kaplan Mcat books) and maybe do a bit of extracurriculars. Your extracurriculars are solid but continuing with those extracurriculars (Like trying to get a publication from research) or like you mentioned adding more definitely wouldn't hurt. However, if you 1. feel your specific schedule will allow you to get serious studying for the MCAT this summer and you don't have a big chunk of time to study for the MCAT later in 3rd year, 2. Have taken most relevant classes for the MCAT and won't be taking relevant classes in your 3rd year that can help with the MCAT, 3. Feel prepared, motivated, and prefer to take it this summer, then it's definitely an option. Hope that helps Chris!
Im a pre med students, trying to do research, but nervous if my knowledge is good enough, or do they show you what do once u apply for research. Any help would be helpfull. Any class i should focus on when finishing my associate?

Now I am suspicious 😒 of my own teachers because they are the worst test makers when it comes to grammar, I have even lost tons of points (OCD) because my minds tells me the answer can’t be wrongly written but it is! And if anyone asks me why I didn’t choose the right one if I knew the concept was right and my answer (my brains logic at least) is because of the poor grammar in it! 😢 even the questions are wrongly written sometimes. 🤨😱 I have even pointed it because it gets to my nerves.
