Our patient Kate is a skier and has ruptured her ACL in a fall. This is a chronically damaged ACL that has finally ruptured. As she is so stable, at present the surgeon does not want to operate. Therefore, we are managing her non-surgically.
In this session we look at helping her get her flexion back with active hamstring work and AP tibial glides. Be sure to check out part 2 for some great rehab work we are doing with her.

Hi.. i was going through yoir videos and its great to see it. Recently i had an ACL+ menisci injury. The graft is taken from quartricps, but i came to know that most of the atheletics people prefer patellar graft. Is it true ? And what is the difference between quatercips and patellar graft?

Well it is good idea not to have surgery for the moment, if the joint is stable no-giving away , along with good quads n hams she needs to have finely tonned glutes and off course deep core that could prevent her instability! What I suggest during pre-hab if the stability improves to the extent patient feels confident on her knee, besides her balance and propioception improved to pre-injury level!!
