I was the same as you mate and in fact I used to equate sandalwood to old man scent until the day when I dropped a couple of drops of pure sandalwood oil on my wrist and the rest is history :).

Thank you Kyle and I know you like this house a lot :). My favorite citrus like you is Lime as it really energizes a fragrance and the wearer. Orange with woods just opens the woody notes and makes them soft of project a deep smell. Its been an hour since i finished the review and those two tiny sprays are filling up the room. The decant plan will work very well IMHO, and good luck with that.
Thanks for this video bud. I have just bought a bottle of oud, not even used it yet. I did see a fantastic offer for the coffret for this at harrods for 89gbp though, now sadly sold out. It is at one other place to just over 100gbp so found myself needing exactly this review! Sad as it is, i shall save my pennies for one of the Mediterranean range.
Wow, you got a steal on the Oud and that too smells amazing IMHO. This can wait and I am sure you will / can find used bottles on ebay this year. I also like the Mediterranean line. I have to review a few of those this summer.

Interesting take. I didn’t get the ADP oud in this at all. For me, it smells like very rich soap. I wonder if the American version differs from UK. Regardless, It’s a wonderful fragrance.

I am glad you are liking it , and the reason I take my time reviewing fragrances is because I test my fragrances in at least 2 seasons. Sometimes it takes even longer for example, Amouage Imitation took 7 wears and 2 seasons to finally tell its story to me , it was a tough one I tell you.

I have just emailed my good friend in London to keep an eye out for the Issey Miyake Noir Ambre as it is scarcely available in U.S...perhaps, she will see one before her holiday, here in January, and fly it over! Hey Bob, good to see you mate, btw what does 'domo arigato' mean? is that japanese? Coromandel EDP is beautiful mate I also love it. The EDT is more famous though as it was released first and then reformulated. I have both in decants and like both but haven't had a chance to do a side by side comparison. I have heard a lot of great things about Noir Ambre mate would love to hear your thoughts on it. Your layering sounds awesome pal, how did it go? Was she enamored by your carnal scent :)).

Hi Vincent, hope you enjoy these reviews mate :). To answer your question, Quercia is more wearable and versatile but if you are looking for a cold weather deep woody scent then Sandalo is just amazing :).

Thanks mate. The type of fragrance has a lot to do with the number of sprays so a fragrance like this I would apply one on my shirt and one at the back of my neck, maybe add one more to the bottom of my wrist so that i could catch a wiff everytime I moved my hand or something. If I wear an EDT I would go 4 sprays, 2 on my shirt and 2 on my skin and maybe add 1 more to my hair. When i go out and plan to remain out then i double up those sprays as I want others to smell me. There are always exceptions ... for example I would never go more than 4 for Amouages :). hope this makes sense.

Thank you Asmat. I really like both Oud and Sandalo to be honest. One Oud fragrance with rose will be DahanalOudh Nashwah by Rasasi, its really a top notch fragrance. I have reviewed it as well.
Hi big guy! Great review as always!!! I have colonia oud. I see how are comparing them. I love colonia oud as a whole BUT the rose part is not so much for me which kind of becomes lighter with the dry down. When I saw you comparing the Sandalo to Oud, I started wondering about that rose note. No I am thinking, If the Sandalo smells like the oud minus the rose, I think it will be better for me? What do you think? I was also wondering about the performance of the Sandalo compare to Oud! Thanks a lot
Hi Zamen, Sandalo is a very special fragrance mate. See if you can sample it somewhere, as it can be an expensive blind buy. Personally I like Sandalo more than Colonia Oud.

Hi AC sir, I tried this beauty and I fell in love with the appearance and presence. Loved the depth and richness too ( I am completely with that it smells like Sandal wood oils which I have (few varieties) ) and which I mostly like is the creamy yet soury facet which may be coming from orange not from the sandal (which comes from good Mysore oil in my humble opinion). But I am really confused whether to get this one and Samsara (I didn't get the chance to test) , could you please suggest me if possible , or can you review Samsara so that I can make up mind ...... A big thank in advance. ...
Thank you Tanmoy, I am glad you liked this one, and I shall try and review Samsara soon my friend, but for the time being the BIG difference between this and Samsara is that Samara uses a big dollop of Jasmine, so it veers off towards being a unisex. Dont get me wrong Samsara is still a masterpiece, but for the true sandalwood lover both have a place in ones collection TBH.

Hello AC sir, Got the Samsara recent formulation and got the beautiful sandal base at the real base LOL .. after almost 3-4 hours it really turns to sandal and stays that way for 2-3 hours but doesn't project much during this phase . it's for sandal lovers not for attention grabbing in my humble opinion and the RED bottle does little differently to me sandal projects better and comes little early , kindly let me know if I am understanding wrong. thanks sir.......

Bassam Heritage is completely different to ADP, in fact in Heritage Sandalwood plays a supporting role to Cacao and Patchouli along with 15 other notes, ADP is much less complex. In fact if you smell Heritage EDT ( Vintage) the complexity will blow you away. Roja Danger is supposed to be a inspiration from heritage but if you smell Vintage Heritage side by side with Roja, the Roja pales in comparison. I think I have discussed that point in Most opulent Videos Pt1. I will definitely review Colonia Leather soon :). Good to see you stop by :).

I love ADP house and I think they use quality ingredients and do quality perfumes :)
I agree AdP uses quality ingredients and thats one major reason for me to buy AdP. I covered the answer to your question in this video, where I showcased the most authentic smelling sandalwood fragrances in my opinion, dont know weather you saw that. Seems like we both love Sandalwood a lot :).
Great review as always you're very articulate and descriptive. I'd love to get my hands on quercia, but the 100ml bottle retails for about £180 (at Selfridges, House of Fraser, etc). However, there's this website called allbeauty.com that sells it for significantly less. I've looked around and haven't seen any negative reviews, but was wondering if you've ever used it? If not then do you have any ideas on how I can get quercia for a little less? I do love it and would pay the full retail price to guarantee its authenticity though. Thank you!
Youssef, thanks a lot for the kind words and yes, allbeauty is definitely legit but I have never ordered expensive fragrances from them although its not very different than Notino which I regularly use to buy all types of fragrances. I also but from ebay sellers with 100% positive feedbacks, have you looked there?
