This is a review of the Sandalo Eau de Cologne Concentree version that was released in 2016 and comes in the brown bottles. What is available now is the newer EDP versions that come in black bottles and are slightly more expensive, but at discounters you can find both!
Sandalo is truly a powerful but soothing masculine scent that is perfect for everyday wear or for formal and special occasions because of the classy vibe that it has. Main notes to me are lavender and sandalwood of course. The lavender creates a very piercing sharpness that cuts through the scent, providing it freshness, an aromatic touch. The sandalwood is warm, dry, cozy, but there is also a spicy slightly nutty element as well which I believe is stemming from the cardamom and tonka bean which are mostly supporting notes. All in all a highly unique, high quality smell on par with the best niche fragrances. A must have for anyone into more mature, classy masculine scents that are different from your traditional fougeres.
