Bud thank you for the video suggestion. The knife sheath in this video is for my Mora Companion. I love the Mora knives but I hate the plastic sheaths that they come with. I'd be happy to do a video on how to design this type of knife sheath. I have a few projects I need to finish up first but rest assure I will get this done for you. Mr. Coop, you can indeed stamp leather this thin. You cannot though use a swivel knife to cut designs or patterns into it the leather simply is not thick enough for you to make the proper cuts. But if you are using decorative stamps and have cased the leather properly it will stamp.

@@MrCoop from about 6 oz up you can use a swivel knife to carve designs. If you are interested in working with leather this thin then you need to either laser engrave it or use decorative stamps. Sounds like he may have a project brewing, do you have something in the works?

If you want to tool leather this thin, I have found it helps to put another piece of similar weight leather underneath it. As Michael states, probably a little on the light side for swivel knife use.
