My favorite Superman stories are where they don't write around his incredible powers and instead allow them to be used to their fullest.. there was a One-Shot Superman vs Joker in the new 52 that was great. And Superman American Alien is awesome too when he fights Lobo.

i love this channel, and the excitement when the comics and stories are talked about. having said that, i feel some misinformation is being given. i was under the strong impression this was NOT the new52 doomsday, but the one from pre52. superman even keeps saying he looked, sounds, smells and feels just like the original and was confident it was the same doomsday. the more... stratigic aspects can be chalked up to doomsday's evolution through his encounters over the pre52 timelime. and would explain why he was already so much tougher than before.

I actually liked the whole doomsday virus infecting superman, it seemed like a really interesting take on the whole resurrection premise and actually explained the whole, doomsday always coming back with a resistance to whoever killed him, rather than " I'm doomsday, I'm back, how? (jazz hands) "THATS HOW." he BECAME whoever killed him. thereby guaranteeing he would eventually win.

I thought Mr. Oz was Rorschach​ or the original concept for Superman (before the original Action Comics #1 was ever published). Somewhat disappointedly, it was Superman's father, Jor-El. The Oz Effect was still awesome, though.

Remember Superman Hunter/Prey? That version of Doomsday was a little technical, sensing weakness and acting with a strategy. He even recognized people he had fought before. Where does that fit in to the overall Doomsday mythos? I felt like it was meant as a follow-up to the Death of Superman, to answer some questions.

Mr. Oz is really just a super fanboy with superpowers. He's just collecting DC's legacy characters for his cosmic shelf. They'll sit right next to his Beanie Babies and his unopened amiibos. 👌

You might actually be right about Mr. Oz being the classic Lex Luthor because even those people that were sent by Me. Oz to fight doomsday looked identical to the ones sent by lex to fight doomsday during the death of Superman story.

I've never never really gotten into western comics all that much, and more into eastern comics such as manga. However, a person I know suggested this channel to me, so I'm trying to give it all a chance. So, I have to ask: what exactly is this "New-52" thing? This stuff is so different to stuff in a lot of manga. It's quite interested just how different they are in terms of exposition and styling. :)

The Superman/Doomsday rematch has already happened, three times. And the original Doomsday was considerably more powerful than his New 52 version. Classic Superman could never have ripped HIS Doomsday in half, and he also is considerably more powerful than his New 52 counterpart.

My bet is during Forever Evil lex luthor's personalities split into separate entities somehow. And the bad lex was sent back with the others where he received his power and changed the universes to try and bring things back to their original state.

I know there will probably never be a good time for it, but could you cover Death of Superman..the original, like how you do some older issues like Thanos destroys the universe. And how it led to the intro to Steel, Superboy, Eradicator, Cyborg, or origin stories for them would be cool too. I read them, but I def like the way you explain things. Lots of bad comic info being passed around by people reviewing DC movies and saying things that have me wondering what these die hard fans read. I forced my friend to watch a few of your videos, there are some issues I just will never buy, digital or otherwise...Wonder Woman is one of them, great fighter...o.O

Lex Luther and Dr.Doom are the best reformed villains. Both of them usually do a better job a being a hero than their respective heroic counter parts. Also they have inertial conflict between good and evil which gives their stories suspense. When the same is done for super man or Richards it just feels fake.
