Out of the scores of brilliant performances throughout The Tudors series, this one just might be the very best. Her voice is absolutely impeccable. I mean it’s PERFECT!!!
Anne owned him! Sometimes being on the court was a good thing….learned all the juicy secrets of the superior people. The way they arrested and killed people back then I would too have gotten all the gossip on every person and blackmailed them if they tried to kill or arrest me.
Anne was fabulous! This Bishop was going to have Princess Elizabeth put to death in later years too. Elizabeth came within a hairs width of being beheaded like her mother , but the executioner refused to go ahead with it because Mary hadn't personally signed the death warrent, as she was so ill at that time. Bishop Gardiner had signed it instead.
Jesus had said to "be wise as a serpent." Lady Anne was quite wise! She had a very feisty character and Emma has done an excellent job playing her. Bravo!
Only because she and her family, the Howard’s, were notable and respectable Catholics. If she wasn’t, he wouldn’t care about her. Why do you think he pushed Henry to try to arrest his last wife, Catherine Parr and more than likely try to have her killed. It’s because she was a Protestant. Anyone who wasn’t a devout Catholic, had to die in his eyes.
While he was not a great guy, in reality he gets a bum wrap in a lot of the shows and movies he is portrayed in. He made far more villainous then he actually was. Like in the movie 'Elizabeth' where he is shown as rebelling against her? He was long dead, he died 3 years before Mary died
In the TV show, they really portraited her as a bitch who betrays her husband but in real life, she is said to have been very faithful to her husband although she might have not been the nicest woman in the world. I really like how Emma Hamilton played this role and I really miss Emma Hamilton, I think shold play more roles than this one. I also wonder if there exist any private scene of Anne and her husband Edward, but it seems like there are only love scenes with the guys she betrayed him with
@@a.alistair9087 a lot of characters were like that. Princess Margaret was a mix of Henry's two sisters (Margaret was actually married to King James V of Scotland, it was Mary who was married to Charles Brandon, and neither married a King of Portugal as shown, it was an old king of France)
Other then the Portugal instead of France the entire Margaret story line is Mary, not a mix. They seemed to worry fans would be confused by 2 Princess Marys and used Margaret to avoid it. Mary I was actually named for her aunt.
What I like most of the Tudors, and that’s why is one of my favorite series, is that a character you hate could convert in a loved one ❤ I hated her when she threatened that Protestant guy and his family in season 3 but she was so nice to Anne askew
