@@yamatotakeru9078 very recently a doctor was arrested he was doing the same thing tainting iv bags! They can't even know how many people he killed it's terrifying.
Jessica is so sweet with Amy, consistently reassuring her, praising her and giving her honor for being able to tell Amy's story... Jessica has gotten a new level of respect for me!
Amen for Amy! I’ve worked in a hospital for over 20 years, not as a nurse. I’ve seen how hard those nurses work. They’re truly the heroes not the doctors. I’m very happy and blessed to work with these special people!
100 percent agree. To me, the part of the story that's just as horrifying is that none of the hospitals caught this guy sooner. Nurses and fellow employees tried to stop him multiple times but hospital management only tried to cover themselves by firing him. They portray this in the movie accurately. There were lots of people in positions of power that never took accountability for the situation. But Amy and other nurses who took a stand are heroes
Love to see Jessica's kindness and respect towards Amy Loughren. She clearly understands how difficult it is for Ms. Loughren to re-live this part of her life, and seems to keep in mind that this movie is about telling Amy's story, not some glamorized true crime movie.
the fact that she still carries guilt for not recognizing sooner is just insane to me. nine hospitals, girl! and none of them cracked the case like you did! wishing her the best. she’s amazing, really.
@@Crimson11100 even Charles himself admitted the hospitals should face charges for letting him do what he did, and for doing it for so long. They knew but never did anything out of fear of being sued, and losing money. Capitalism at it's finest
Every interview Jessica is doing, she's making sure to include the note about compressions to bring proper form and procedure to the general public. She knows that this press circuit is about more than just her. Jessica is such a good human. It gives me so much hope in the goodness of people.
I just watched this on Netflix. This is why I love Jessica Chastain and am a huge fan of hers. She did not even respond really to her award win that was mentioned and made sure that the attention went to to real-life hero in this situation - Amy. Jessica is my favorite actress, not only because of her talent to believably play a variety of characters, but she genuinely seems so humble about her well-deserved successes. Jessica deserves every accolade for her talent, but this is refreshing to see Jessica graciously standing aside as a celebrity to honor a truly brave woman who dealt with an unimaginable situation. Great respect to Amy who low-key acknowledges in a way that Charles did have some good in him despite his horrific acts. Great respect to Jessica, as well, who also portrayed this in the movie. As a woman, I look up to both Jessica and Amy. They are the type of women who possess the qualities I admire. Great interview!
I love Jessica, she’s one of my favorite actresses and incredibly underrated. I love how she immediately put her hand on Amy’s arm after they showed the first clip. And Amy is a real life superhero. I love seeing strong, beautiful women supporting each other!
Jessica is one of my favorite actress as well she is extremely talented and seems so down to earth. Her acting is flawless. I have seen many of her movies. She is super.
My brother is mentally ill and when he's in a good place he's a good brother. When he's sick I can't be near him. I understand Amy calling him a friend.
Wow, what an amazing story. So much respect for Amy. I'm currently following nurse Lucy Letby's trial in the UK. The question of 'Why' is so mind-boggling!!
I loved this subtle, haunting psychological dramatic thriller. It's really well done, with great direction and amazing performances by Chastain and Redmayne.
I saw the movie last night and it was phenomenal. All the actors did an amazing job and wow Amy is such an amazing Hero thanks to her the killing stopped.
So do I my mom is one and I have several favorite nurses from my days spent on and off the pediatric floor of my local hospital. I was born a 2lb preemie so that came with a whole slew of health issues especially pneumonia and a compromised immune system I always had incredible nurses who not only took care of me physically but would go the extra mile to get me things they knew I loved or they would sit with me in between my parents changing shifts to stay with me overnight they’re amazing people ❤️❤️
I just saw this interview. I am a retired pastor. My first career I was a Registrred Nurse. Thank you for bringing up the fact the person who holds the patient's life in their hands is the nurse.
I watched the movie and THANK YOU for telling the story from perspective of the heroes who helped bring him down, instead of focusing on the serial killer like most of these films.
Nurses rock! Two key things that were not brought up in this interview- 1. None of the hospitals involved in the murders/covered up the deaths, were sued or held accountable. 2. Amy worked in a hospital, saving lives, yet didn't have healthcare. Is that still going on for some nurses?!
I don’t know his name but the black guy is really good. The way he asked Amy his question was very sensitive and kind. He is articulate and enunciates very well.
I agree with what she said that Nurses are really the true healthcare providers. Like damn their job is not easy at all. Having , long rotational nights shifts and being very precise in your job is pretty strenuous. Sometimes I get stressed just imagining that.
Last time I was at the ER with gallstone pain the PA wanted to discharged me but it was the nurse that stood up for me. Asking to approve for more medication and making me comfortable.
Gallstone pain is seriously one of the worst things I have ever experienced. I had around 3 MAJOR gallbladder attacks when I was just 15 years old and it came out of nowhere. I had such intense pain that I couldn’t lay down or do anything at all to relieve the searing pain that lasted at least an hour. Finally after many tests, they ended up doing another ultrasound and seeing that I was full of gallstones.
Yeah my mom experienced something similar where she had a stroke, in the hospital and during that time the doc wasn’t really giving her the attention that she needs and she told me that the nurse was like no, she (my mom) needs this and needs that. They listened to the nurse. My mom said the nurse was really firm about what needs to be done.
I’m a retired nurse, when I moved from one county to another almost 50 years ago ,i became on “ on call nurse “ in other words when they needed me I would go to any acute hospital where I was needed. At one hospital, there was a nurse who was doing this very same thing mi never came in contact with him ,as I rarely worked at this particular hospital. This was in Southern California,he was called The Angel of Death ,i have yet to see this movie ,but I will definitely see it.
It’s crazy to live in the area & know the hospitals he killed at. My son was born at Hunterdon in 96, my niece was born in Morristown the same year he was there. That cluster of healthcare facilities he went thru in PA & Phillipsburg is crazy.
Please lets not forget about the Certified Nursing Assistance CNA/NAC yes we dont give the shots or sometimes dont pass out the meds. CNA's have to do what the Nurses tell us to do. Certified Nursing Assistance we do most of the dirty jobs and lifting we mostly feed those who cant feed themselfs and take patience/ residents to the bathroom and clean up after them, give them showers goom them making sure there well cleaned and presentable for visitors. CNAs are mostly doing the one-on-one's with patient/ residents and it's not just elderly folks either it's all ages between the young and elderly so while the Nurses are doing most of the paper work that comes with there job thats why they have the CNA for bc the paperwork takes most of there time. Im just saying so please don't forget about the CNA's / Certified Nursing Assistants.
Great movie. Awesome performance by the two leads, as per usual. God bless this nurse. Sometimes it takes a normal person with good character to stop this insanity. Shame on the hospitals for pushing him along.
Yes! Shame on the hospitals, the fact that they cared more about their reputation and money than the lives if people is just heartbreaking and disgusting. They knew what he was doing, and they just fired him without taking action to stop Charles Cullen’s evil doings.
I’m a CNA and I love and respect nurses but nobody recognizes CNA, we are important too. We work very hard, we do the showers, bed bath, change diapers, make the beds, change colostomy bags. we do a lot and nobody recognizes us. Even during the pandemic not one time CNA was mentioned, it’s like don’t exits.
Nurses ARE the backbone and real heroes BECAUSE they are WITH the patients more often than anyone else. They can do almost everything that every department can do. RT PT , phlebotomist. They might not be licensed like mds but some even know more than mds. Most mds don’t talk to patients snd nurses explain everything to patients which by law is illegal. I can go on and on.
Nightmare. Multiple personality killer. I had to watch it in parts it is so revolting. I still have not been able to watch it all. Amy got lucky getting through to him. Likely due to the female mother thing as the killer had severe mother issues. That said, Amy was almost killed as well. The individuals with (DID)disassociate from reality abb no d become their rage and many other affects separate from themselves. The rage persona can drive the murders and the cunning. They are not only riddled with behavioral disorders they are a fatal menace when homicidal ideation becomes part of their presentation. They take on a psychopathic personality. They are literally monsters. Like I wrote Amy got lucky caring Jim into a legal surrender/confession. He easily could had killed her as well. Many scenarios where this has been the situation has backfired and they too become another victim.
Did anyone read the book? Someone said it was excellent and read it several times? I don’t know if it’s the same tile or if this is based from the book?
I've noticed that with the morning network shows, especially this one (CBS This Morning). The only reason I was able to follow the interview is because I'd read a lot about the movie and the book it's based on beforehand.
I work in healthcare and when he was giving the lady a bed bath he did it wrong. You start and the fingertips and go up. Also when she ripped her iv out there would have been blood spraying everywhere 😂😂😂😂
We need to emphasize more what Physician Assistants do. They are more hands on then doctors and play a huge role in treatment and recover of patients. We need to start saying Doctors, PAs and nurses.
just watched the film The good Nurse Its a very slow burner! but im annoyed i didnt recognise it was Eddy Redmayne (im usually good at this) but thats a complimemt to his acting once more!! Hes excellent as in The Theory of everything and The Danish girl..ill watch anything with him in!!
“Nurse school” in 2 weeks we learned everything? Only thing that makes me angry. Nurses do SO much more than IV’s and compressions. Food for thought. Other than that bravo🎉
