The GTS is in my eyes the sexiest Viper ever made.

Casey is basically the Viper of humans. He's loud, obnoctious, old school, but all of these just give to his personality. (I might need to take a break time to time from watching his videos, but when I come back, it's always a great one.)

I hate to say it, but I think I like driving my RT10 more than the GTS!

People will shit on a Viper for it's windows and roof then get in their Wrangler that never leaves the tarmac.

Became a fan of the Viper through the TV show, so my heart will always beat for the one that started it all and saved Dodge.

I'm starting to suspect the Jabberwock Jackwagon is that mid-engined Viper that never got to happen... could it really be... ???

Those rt10 wheels are some of the most 90s things I've seen in a long time.

A first gen RT/10 is the ONLY car I would sell or trade my 1966 Charger for. It’s a straight up dream for me which the walls of my garage can show. Between models, advertisements, posters, and every “Viper” magazine since volume one I’ve been doing everything I can to collect anything Viper related.

Great video! As a gen 2 RT/10 owner it was good to see a video from someone who gets it. Vipers have been ignored for to long.

I absolutely love the 3-spoke wheels, I've always thought the style fit the car perfectly. When I'm able to buy my RT/10 I want to have the wheels reproduced 2" bigger just to fill the wheel well more and make it look more modern, but otherwise the same style.

My uncle would occasionally lug his rt10 and it would pop and burble, almost as if it was tuned for a turbo. It gave me the good feels. And before you start hating: a, he has the money to do what he wants, b, has probably rebuilt more cars than you, c, didn't hurt the engine one bit. He didn't floor it, he just gave it a little throttle. And a big, 8L v10 just oozes smooth torque off of idle. It's like driving a truck. You don't need to touch the accelerator when starting out; the engine has enough torque that you can just about dump the clutch and not stall.

I have always wanted a first gen Viper. I bought one back in december and I don't foresee myself ever getting tired of it.

The RT10 prototype was the pace car the one year I got to see The 500 in person. Seeing one always takes me back to that period in my life. I was such a clueless 20-something.

Thought I loved a gts more.. And was going to buy one.. But after seeing the rt10 Gen 1s and realizing the quirks and how that added to the cool factor.. I settled on a 94 rt10.. Love it.. I'll get a gts stable mate someday but I love the rt10.. The wind can be noisy but it's not bad... Can easily go 150mph and still grin ear to ear

Hey Casey, just wanted to thank you for all the videos you put out. lots of them are not only entertaining but very informative ! Having built my first real "performance" car ( more like able to perform above standard road applications ) a ton of your manual videos and driving tips have helped tremendously towards my driving etiquette ! Hope you have fun with both of your vipers and that you have a good one !

Finally someone who understands the Viper! My 2k RT/10 is getting ready to crack 120k miles. It has been extremely reliable even though I beat on it for the first 60000 miles. A top less Viper takes the experience to a whole new level. Great video. Look forward to more.

That Gen 1 is very underrated in the Viper community. Is the GTS nicer looking? Ya, maybe a little at the rear but otherwise the same...but it's not like the RT had a bad rear end. It's just so raw and pure, which many prefer. Side pipes, steering wheel, open top. I would add a GTS to the garage though.

I’ve had my 96 GTS for about a year and it’s been a great experience so far. Definitely lived up to my childhood dreams.

Wow! Pure driving machines, so oldschool that I can love them! Actually nearly all of my favourite vehicles are more than 40 years old. Who needs airbags and electronic bullshit! When I was young, I loved things like the Ferrari 275 GTB, Jaguar E types, C2 and C3 Corvettes, Maserati Ghibli, bad Pontiacs, Muscle cars in general, the Iso Grifo and the list goes on. All things pre 72! What I love about US cars, they are tough as a brewery horse, reliable, strong and solid, the Italian stuff is more like a beautiful, fast and kind of delicate racing horse. The Viper was probably the best sports car made in America since the mid Seventies

These 2 cars are legends and two of the best driving experiences on the planet.

Nice pair of Vipers. Please keep the viper content going. Not enough intelligent videos out there. I own Gen 2/5 GTS's and Supra of which your wing is modeled after. Gen 2 looks better w/o out the wing but dig the period correct modifications too. Looking forward to the v10 swap build

as a kid i had the obligatory testarossa and countach on my walls, a formula 1 sticker album... fast forward to the 90s- i saw a model of one in a shop window, never forget it, with the two pods in the roof that looked like the head of a snake....it was like seeing what the etype jag would look like if they made it today, still is... i never wanted to own a ferrari ever again, and lamborghinis just became daft avant garde artpieces in comparison... To this day its still my dream car...the fact it was so cheap too...no fancy pretences, just the fastest car they could make... Back when video games were hip and fashionable and i still played them...it would beat all comers in gran turismo, you just spanked your opponent everytime if you could keep it on the edge.... theres one licence level where i needed the demo run....and it was the viper....i spent about a week, every night , trying to copy this one corner where the demo would be faster than me to get the gold licence... Where you have to just power slide/not powerslide the thing to get it round this fall away left hander....too much and you ended up with bronze, too little and silver was all you are getting.... i managed it in the end ... never driven a real one though.

Gonna' go online and see if I can find one of them there "Brown-note" exhaust systems, lol

you have the perfect set of cars now :) what i belive is no car is really dangerous if you learn to use it properly and get use to the power and handling. what i was always told: break in a straight line and do it smoothly and also get on the power smoothly coming out of a trun or corner.

Now Pirelli Zeros are made for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 with 17 inch rims😉... I just received my Pirelli Zeros and now Michelin Pilot will be ready in April for purchase. But we do now have two manufacturers foe matching front and rear tires.

I owned a 94' red RT/10 for 3 years and than sold it to get a 97' GTS, that I have for 10 years now and I will never sell it. I prefer the GTS in every aspect over the RT/10. But....if there was the right weather, the right road, the right feel, the right wind in you hair... The RT/10 was unbeatable and I loved it even more than my GTS. But for 99,9% of the time, the GTS is by far my first choice. Also I am disabled and controlling Clutch, Gas and brakes with my hands, which is easier to use with the GTS cause it is more refined in my opinion. And the size of the trunk is big enough to put my wheelchair in and my front attatchment. Been to the Alps with my GTS and wife. Traveled alot with it, doing charity drives with disabled and sick kids with the GTS. It is more than a car to us, it is a friend, a lifestyle and ever lasting joy. All the best for you Casey! I would have a 2006-2010 Viper over any Corvette! I just don't see hardly any here in Chattanooga TN. My favorite car is air-cooled 911's, I first rode in a 71 911s when I was 5yrs old,hence my love of them.I have owned around 40 muscle cars in my lifetime.Vipers ate modern muscle cars. Congrats on the Kool early Viper.🤓

Casey, It has been a while. I have been riding my bike and helping fix broken stuff around Apollo beach. I just get my friend's 2014 Challenger. It was stolen and trashed. it needs just about everything. I talked him into putting the 8.0, 8.4, and or 9.0 and leaving the outside nasty. We plan to call it the Hell hound. rough, ugly, strong, loud, and scary. Borla Attacks, No cats Powerglide. My friend is disabled, so make it easy.

Your comments about getting pre-owned vehicles back gives me hope for maybe my dream of finding and buying back my old 2001 Cobra coming true someday. That was my plan B last year if the RX-8 deal had fallen through but it didn't so having that Ford modular 4 cam sound in my life drifts further into the past.

Sounds to me like the Jabberwock Jackwagon is going to be a Magnum with a Viper Engine. Magnums had a simular chasses and I've often wondered why they where never offered with the V-10 the largest engine offered was the 6.1L hemi in the SRT-8. They dropped the V-10 in a truck but never a car outside of the Viper...So a Magnum would handle the torque and would be a hell of a grocery hauler!

I would love to see the jabbawoki as a v10 Plymouth prowler using a corvette style power tube to put the gearbox in the rear. otherwise being called a "jack wagon" makes me think of a pt cruiser or dodge caravan mid engine 2 seater minivan. I cant wait till Monday (probably Tuesday for us Australians)

It’s crazy that the ‘93 viper was the inspiration for the GTA III Banshee, then the later variants are reminiscent to the ‘96 Viper GTS and 2005 Viper RT10.

The Dodge Demon is what killed the Viper, not some nebulous idea of "PC Culture". The Demon (and Hellcat and whatnot) are a lot cheaper to develop than the Viper could ever be, not to mention the end product is a Halo car that looks the same as the car you want to sell more of. Why spend all that money developing a special car to wrap around a special engine, if an engine swap does it better? Also regulations mandating stuff like safety standards, ABS and TCS and such are more about creating barriers to entry than they are about actually protecting anyone. The powerful elites consider us disposable, and we all know that. They wouldn't lobby to make things harder on their own companies if it didn't benefit them in some way. The companies that serve the US auto market don't want to have to share it, so they lobby to increase standards to keep fast-growing Chinese automakers out a while longer.

My two dream cars are the Ferrari F40 and the early production Viper. Someday I'll wake up and it'll be a reality.

Casey: is it possible to tune the resonant frequency of the Dodge Viper exhaust to create the perfect "Brown Note" that will cause Karens & Porsche snobs to crap their pants? Asking as a failed Genius Garage applicant/wannabe.

I know quite a few engine builders and machinists with plenty of negative opinions about modern engines... HOWEVER, if you mention Viper engine, the first thing out of their mouth is " THOSE ARE GOOD MOTORS!" And these are guys that tear these things down, machine and build them 5 days a week, they love the Viper v10. Although I was told the truck version of the V10 is junk ( pre- SRT10, that is. So like a 1997 Ram V10 = junk. )

I just want to see a c4 vette vs. A viper. Can't find it. Guess I'll have to buy one and own both my dream cars
