@@aidnyanyou can do that in all of the games but it's just a bit jank in y3 and y4. when ur mid attack you have to lock on and it's tight in the earlier games.
It'd be cool if they eventually made the backstep attack a gap closer instead of a get off me move so that way you could do a really sick looking dodge and then just immediately bounce back with something.
I remember having to use backwards quick step attacks to use ultimate heat essence in yakuza 3 and 4 so obnoxious to setup. only worked on fodder so it had almost zero practical use. When komaki parry gave you far better options.
@@DillionT I think that's kinda lame though. Hmm, maybe if they had added the thing where lifting up downed enemies applied stun without writhing then it'd be okay if a tad too easy

It was design in mind to catch enemies attacks after you back step away from them, RGG then changed it to be high risk high reward kinda deal in 3 since it’s one of Kiryu’s 2 moves that stuns
