The two tabs that u say we are supposed to lift up to release regarding the ash trey pocket.....they are plastic and didnt seem to be movable......are they on some kind of hinge or something???

Ok....sorry to hijack your comment section.....I figured out my issue. Your vid is clearly for stereo removal my comments are regarding ash trey removal. In some of these RLs like my 06 to remove the ash trey u first pry out shift portion of console and to remove ash trey just pry out velvet insert...remove 2 screws inside of trey....pull trey out....takes 2 seconds. But this gent is discussing stereo removal so the frame of the trey would need to be removed if u wanted to do that.

I just watched another vid on youtube.....for the ash trey he removed the inner linner of the trey and two screws behind it.....then it popped right out.....Thats how it needs to be done on my 06

Hello sir.....your video was outstanding you are a true pro. That said I was just trying to remove my small ash trey pocket with your instructions and after 2 hours I had to give up. I was able to get it up and out...also rotated face down...but the top clips would not clear the stereo and I felt I was doing other damage so I had to back out. I have no idea why yours was able to come out. I think the shift plastic casing is supposed to be removed prior to trying to remove the ash trey......I will live to fight again....but today took an L
