Acura RL Window Fix Faulty windows in a 2005 Acura RL. A common problem after changing your battery. You lose control of your windows from the master control switch from the drivers seat. Heres a quick way to fix it!
For the driver's side I had to do the same thing on all three of the working windows to reset my 2007 Acura RL. Thanks so much for this tip dude! You definitely saved me some $$$$$ 😊
Thought I was going to have to go to the dealership and instead watched your video and fixed my window issue in 30 seconds - a pretty good in investment in time. Thanks.
Thanks the video was meant to show owners how user friendly this procedure is. Definitely a big money saver compared to having a dealer do it. I couldn’t believe how easy it was either when I first did it. Glad this video helped!
EXCELLENT !!! one thousand Thanks !!! after checking and rechecking fuses for continuity I found your video !!! The dealer changed the Alternator and forgot to reset the windows. THANKS !!!
Mine Works now thanks. Now I need to fix my door handle keyless not recognize, navigation is out. Can't open fuel panel. make a video on how to fix this please😁
Thank you very much your video helped me fix mine I just replaced the alternator and the battery yesterday so I’m guessing that’s why the back windows played dummy with me
Thanks for the tip. I seem to have a similar problem with my 2011 MDX, after a shopping trip the windows were half open suddenly and then they won't roll up and the moon roof seemed stuck. Reset the windows with the key fab and everything seems good now. Will have to check the battery next. Also wanted to mention that I had to replace the driver door subharness when the windows, mirrors, and moon roof died all together.
Great advice! I have an 08 MDX and the passenger side window was not responding to the driver side control. I did exactly what you said in the video and it worked!. Great job and thanks man! Oh and by the way I did lose battery power recently and had to get a jumpstart so that may have been it. What is odd is that the driver side controlled both rear side windows. Thanks again
My battery 🪫 died and I will try this tomorrow when my wife gets home with the vehicle. Thanks. My top clock display will intermittently not work. Do you have any suggestions for that fix
Had the same issue with my sub-dash. Intermittent failure is caused by a faulty circuit board, best thing you can do is buy a new one online, or send it out for repairs. You can find them for around $80 online, or for $20 at your local junkyard. To replace, just carefully pry up on the center speaker/sub-dash, and disconnect the wire harness.
Passenger window would not work on driver control. Windows would not go down with fob or key in door. Following this video holding passenger window control button down fixed it. 2014 MDX. Thanks.
You can also reset the master window switch through the alarm remote. Use the alarm remote to bring all the windows down simultaneously. This will bring the window control back to the driver side.
On my 2005 TL the driver window was not working on auto. I had my window up, rolled it down and holding the button down for like 3-4 seconds and now the auto works.
Omg I can’t explain I bought my car had it 4 yes and it never worked till today I tried this and it worked omg I can’t thank you enough this is so amazing. Thank you so much!!
So the only window that doesn’t work for me is the driver side. Everyone once it a while it will work, but now it won’t go up or down. Could it be the switch?
I can’t figure this shit out, and I’m a damn mechanic but idk wtf is going on with this tsx, might just sell the damn thing keeps giving me window issues and it’s FUCKIN HOT I’m cool off this car lol
2009 Acura MDX I had a dead battery got a jump, then my front pass window would not work from the drivers side, BUT still worked on the passenger side, So I started looking on RU-vid, & I found you. My window now "works again" from the drivers side! "THANK YOU" SO MUCH!!! :)
I have a light on that reads ...CHECK SH-AWD SYSTEM. Is there some type of routine maintenance for this or notification of a common problem to be addressed?
Thanks bro, I thought it was my switch and brought a new one but was glad I found your video and saved myself a trip to the mechanic and having to pay even more to just replace a perfectly good window switch
Hahahahah yeah your right! You don't need to change the battery. What I was saying is that AFTER I changed the battery, the Acura RL started to have these window issues! Glad it was an easy fix for you.
Do you have any other tricks and tips for this RL? my rear motor mount is broke and it looks like it is gonna be hard to fix. Also, if you know of any cool shit i can do to my engine to make it better, holler
@@mr.hondamods Have you had any battery drain issue with your car or hear of it with other RL's? Mine sat 7 days while I was on vacation & came back to dead battery, couldn't even unlock the door. This was 3 weeks ago. Since then it died last Monday & today but I could unlock it at least. I think it might be the hands free Link or bluetooth unit, in passenger side kick panel, so I just disconnected mine tonight after watching some videos on here & reading on Acurazine. It actually felt warm to the touch, car been sitting for 5 hours. I got a new battery today from Auto Zone. The old one that I took out was just put in last Nov, according to CarFax, but only lasted 9 months, with a 100-month warranty label on it. I've only had the car 5 months. Last owner also did the alternator last October. So that tells me they were possibly having the same issue as I am, since they replaced those 2 parts within 30 days of each other. Anyways, hoping that the disconnected Bluetooth part will let the new battery live long. It's stronger than the last one & 5 yr warranty. 🤞
COOL! SO- if your windows dont roll down... to fix them you start by hopping in the back seat with yoiur homeboy Kyle... AND ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN? Am I paying too much attention to the little details? C L I C K B A I T
