And I suppose that those complaining that Adam looks different now , have themselves been cryogenically frozen in the 80's and haven't aged whatsoever, still a pristine example of how damned good looking you were back then, right? As for the band, they are absolute professionals and don't deserve the brunt of your nostalgia. Get over it, Adam's not a museum piece, he's a living breathing, working recording artist.
Adam was, is, and will ALWAYS BE a legend and a music icon , Those loyal to him (ant people) will always listen to, watch, and love his performances. This amazing man has been through hell and back and deserves a little empathy for gods sake !! He’s been sectioned twice and is still through all that come back to make fantastic music and perform sell out concerts . We love you Adam and you’re #sexmusic 🐜🐜🇬🇧🇬🇧🔥🔥🥰🥰☠️☠️
Saw him in September 2013 in Portland, Oregon. One of the best shows I've been to in years. He's definitely still got it, and it seems that he's really enjoying himself. He's revived quite a bit of the old Ant iconography - the backwards "D" in his name, the ant warrior logo (it's on his guitarist's axe in this video), and his backing band is top notch (though I doubt any of them were even born yet during the Ants Invasion of 1981). I agree with the person who said it would be great to see Adam and Marco playing together again. If you get a chance, look here on RU-vid for the TV special "The Madness of Prince Charming." (Last I looked it was in eight parts). Marco is interviewed for it, and he says some really sweet and compassionate stuff about Adam's struggles with depression. The whole special is fascinating, infinitely more so for those of us who've been fans for 30+ years.
I have suffered and still suffer with mental health problems such as anxiety and depression , it is no joke i got to the point where i could not go out after i lost my job i stayed in bed in the house for 3 months and had to use my savings to survive but have got myself back to a healthy state again anyway good on him for beating this evil disease too as it is life threatening , the government should do more to help people with mental illness.
Here's the Dandy Highwayman who you're too scared to mention!! Absolutely Brilliant... Don't YOU EVER stop being dandy and showing me you're handsome !❤❤❤❤❤
I was on the show American Bandstand when Adam arrived to the United States, to play on TV for the first time. He sag Ant Music, then Stand and Deliver. What a great day. Met him later when he went on tour. Nice bloke!
He is one of the best even years after his prime still puts a lot performer's to shame, does not need to try, great voice and physical presence, entertainment and these songs do not age
damn he still looks good and they wanted to get him in a cameo in one of the pirates films and asked by Depp but Adam Ant said no . he is based on the what depp wished besides rolling stones. so our guy is still wanted. :) cheers
The guys a legend ! The ants were the biggest band in the world in 80-81 , I played kings of the wild frontier so much I wore it out ! Going to see adam at 02 in newcastle on April 4th. Can't wait. ! Would love to see Marco & adam back together , that would be awesome.
I've been a fan since the 70's and you are as fine as you was then, you are an inspiration to us all be so very proud of how you have got to where you have and you haven't given in to all your past demons, be so proud as we are as proud of you as you need to be of yourself ❤❤❤❤
Just saw him last Friday in Newcastle. Wow , he was amazing absolutely brilliant , he sang a lot of tracks from dirk wears white sox + some of the hits , for 59 he looks good & sounds good aswell
Imagine if Charles Hawtry had met Jack Sparrow.....Flippant comments aside, Adam is a true professional and his music has stood the test of time. Can't imagine any of Simon Cowell's lot performing their "hits" thirty five years to joyous crowds, after their original release.
This is a great stage for a TV show performance. Practically looks like a music video. I like their style. And Adam Ant....................looking and sounding awesome as ever!
Awesome! Fresh and brilliant. Adam Ant rocks! I'm 45 now, but when I was a kid, I once went to a party dressed as Adam Ant at the height of his fame. Always be a music legend to me, and a constant reminder of my childhood days in the 80's!
I remember this when i was a 11 years old. Im now 53, 80s music was the best music and so many amazing memories. Im so glad I was a part of that era. He is 60 here and he looks absolutely amazing. I want to know his secret even now at 69 he looks amazing.
Some people have the genetics. I've been told I look about 10 years younger than I am. It also probably helps that a 60 year old today isn't what a 60 year old was say 40 years ago. I'm slightly younger (50.....just) and the song I most remember him for is Stand and Deliver. TBH I can't remember if I heard/saw this one at the time. I've watched the original music video (it's on his YT channel) and it's got that familiar AA style that I remember, so maybe I did. I do remember him being on quite a lot at the time - I even had a poster of him on my wall. Think I got it out of Look In magazine. The original version of this song stands up very well btw. I think it's very catchy.
I remember having an alarm on to watch this live when it was on tv! Ahh good memories! ❤ Adam Ant is definitely one of the best. Aw and Tom Edwards on the guitar. Miss that guy. Great guitarist. Rest in Peace my dude.
I think I was about 12 years old when I first saw this band called adam & the ants on top of the pops, they were singing dog eat dog , from that moment I was hooked . I'm 46 now , still a huge ants fan , I have 2 young daughters who love the ants aswell. ! The greatest hits cd is on constantly while out in the car , the kids sing along ! Lol. They love press darlings. ! One of my faves aswell. Going to see adam in concert on April 4th in newcastle , can't wait. Been watching some of his recent performances on RU-vid & they look fantastic !
Yeah, saw Adam and the Q-Tips in Chicago grhjafd years ago. The concert was OK. Then for the encore, Adam brings Marco on stage, and the place erupts as they do Car Trouble.
