Barry, what a lovely review... Thank you so much for your honesty and thorough explanation of these monitors. Thank you as well for being a long-time ADAM Audio user with the A77Xs. We appreciate the support and love from your channel's audience!
Thank Barry for your honest review. I trust you when you say how they sound because of how you are. I've had my eye out for these for awhile, but have not heard them. Again thank you from Lakeland, Fl.
Love my T7Vs. They surpassed my expectations. The low end difference between the 3 models also is quite similar. They are amazing. I just hope I upgrade these with a pair of Adam S2V in some future
I'm here for the contest but I will say that I love ADAM Audio! I have a pair of T57 and have been wanting to upgrade hahahaha! Good luck to everyone who enters! As always, thanks for the great content Barry!
The T7Vs are killer. I’ve heard them at a couple places, I was actually looking into buying some! Being in a college dorm, they’re perfect for not blasting my neighbors with music while still being clear, I can’t wait to get my hands on some one day! Also, loved your review. We need more long form music content on YT with this quality. Killer stuff man.
I've been in love with Adam monitors ever since I saw Rupert Neve use the A77X model to test his 5088 consoles for accuracy. Even though these are less expensive that the A77's,they're still Adam monitors. P.S....It's amazing to me that the negative comments as usual, are coming from the people with NO MUSICAL CONTENT posted up.
Barry its been awesome to watch this channel grow. These monitors would change my life. As a single father of 2 little ones, money for real studio equipment is few and far between. Thank you for doing this and good luck to everyone!
I've had my eyes on these monitors for a while to have as my first pair to replace my headphones. From what you're saying about the lows and highs, it has me even more excited about these monitors!
Great video. I couldn’t agree more. The Adam Audio T7V are the best professional studio monitors you can buy today in its price range. Beside the precise, full low end and incredible separation of every instrument in a mixed song, they are also the most flat sounding speaker from the 3 T models. T5V lacks some low end and T8V has too much low end. I own the Adam Audio T7V and yes people, they are really that great! I’ve subscribed btw.
I agree with you Barry. The monitors are very balanced. They have good low end for the size and the highs don’t break up and stay smooth. For this price point I myself haven’t heard better monitors. I’m using hs8 right now and while those are great they do accent the low end more while the T7 has a flat more balanced sound. Great review
Last week I bought the KRK G4 8 monitors. Within 24 hours I had returned them to the store. They just did not sound right and I couldn't get over the hiss from just having the power on and no signal running through them. It wasn't anything to do with dirty power as my previous monitors had never had that issue. I swapped them out at the store for a pair of Adam T7 monitors. I have never used Adam before and only had a limited knowledge of their products given the normally high end line they produce, which is out of reach for me. I don't think I will ever use any other brand now. These are just superb in every way. I cannot fault them and they take whatever I throw at them and handle it with ease. For my studio right now, they are perfect. Absolutely perfect. I need to start saving now for a future upgrade because....thats what we do... but I can damn well say it will be Adams again. In the meantime I am just incredibly hpy with the T7.
Great review Barry, it's refreshing to have you on here giving us your honest opinions about the gear and software that these companies put out, keep up the good work, I discovered your channel not long ago and I have got hooked, thanks again........
Luv your channel Barry. I am a pro musician and producer. I have been in the music business for over 50 years. These are great speakers for the dollar. Adding a sub to help turn them into 3 ways are even better. I think your review is spot on bro. Keep up the great work.
I’ve also been waiting for a music store to go out of business near me so I can score some high end monitors for 40% off. But these Adam monitors will make the music coming off the reels on my sweet brown Tascam 388 sound oh so sweet! Thanks for the vids Barry!
Hello from Kentucky! I like the design. They look really sharp; very chic! I've never owned anything quite that nice, but I hear good things from Adams, so I'm certain it's quality stuff. If I had those in my studio, I'd be "vibing!" lol... Thanks for the honest review.
Oddly enough I have the Adam A77X like you do lol, I’ve them for year’s but there way to big for my new room. They’re taking a nap back in there boxes until I get a new studio lol… I picked up the new Kali In-5 and those are definitely something to consider! Three way monitors are definitely the way to go! Btw I love the A77X - ❤️
Hi Ivan, thanks for choosing the A77Xs! We appreciate the support and it's too bad they're too big for your new room. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on other products or anything else!
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Its all good! When I get new studio at some point, they’ll be there waiting for me! I like to have a couple different monitors, I actually got a pair of those around the time when they first came out! Thank you!
I was actually recently debating on getting some new monitors for my home studio since I haven’t been to my shared project studio since the pandemic started. Been on headphones for the most part and finally started looking at the Yamaha HS models and the Adam audio speakers. I’ve never heard them in person but from what you describe it makes me very interested. I was leaning towards the Yamahas but now I’ll hold off till I can hear the Adam’s in person one day. I’d hate to make a bad purchase. Thanks for the video and saving me from possibly jumping into the Yamahas just because I felt safe with the brand due to its legacy.
Hey Barry, Love your channel-and personal delivery. Very professional. Most of all, I truly appreciate your honesty. Without naming names (they know who they are :), I can't tell you how many "popular" channels in this musical product and review) genre that I used to like until they became shills for product manufactures. I understand that they have to make a living but many of them don't even come clean on their financial ties to the manufacturers. NOT COOL! If you love it, say so. If you hate it be honest but gentle and kind. :) Keep up the great channel work. Cheers, Bob.
Love your channel and how it’s geared to the newb to mid level studio. Also love the gear reviews such as this. I have the KRK Rokit and for the money quite pleased! Keep up the great work!
Nice review. I have been considering replacing my M Audio bx8 when I get my new studio up-and-running, I'll have to definitely take another look at these!
ive seen several reviews of different models of the adam monitors recently and when i dont win these they are going to be my next upgrade. depending on how much i can squirrel away lol. but all the reviews are fabulous for every model ive seen.
I have been looking for a good review on these monitors. Hopefully can try them out some day. thanks so much for being so in depth and a great overall review. Definitely going to subscribe for more content kicker this.
You know, some of your reviews definitely come off some kinda negative way, but after watching this to enter the contest, it's very true that you're doing your best to stay unbiased. These monitors would be great as an "affordable" reference for mixes in conjunction with some higher ends monitors for sure, just to make sure everything is translating well. Nicely done!
Adam Audio has been near the top of my monitor wish list for a while but they've always been just out of my budget. I'm surprised that these sound this good for that price point but I trust your opinion. From all your previous videos my gut tells me your review can't be bought by a manufacturer.
Love your channel and your straightforward delivery. I’ve been a subscriber for months. I liked the review and really enjoyed the unboxing at the end. Keep the vids coming! Thanks, man!
Love the content! Been following for a little bit now and have learned so much. I appreciate the genuine personality and real talk when it comes to the industry and the companies involved. I’ve had my eye on the Adam T series for a while now and would love a pair considering my old JBL LSR 305’s of 6 years just took a dump and replacement parts are all on back order!
Ok I’ve heard a lot about Adam audio studio monitors. Mostly great things but I’ve never heard any, so I can appreciate your review. Very in-depth and informative. I’m excited about the high end as you’ve said there silky smooth!! I trust your opinion especially from all your other videos. I can appreciate your honesty about avid. I feel the same way about them. Thanks for your review and this giveaway.
well darn u barry lol. after much screwballing around i have finally gone with s1. i love pro tools but.......value. about 6 months ago i bought some lp8v2 , they are great. yesterdat i bought the the t7v. thier is definitely a reason the adams products are so popular. it is nice to be able to use my monitor controller to go between the two but i cant argue that the adams products are worth every penny. and just to say the advice you give at times about saving up a bit more to buy higher quality is all true. u buy these and they can stay with u a long time. thanks always for the content.
Hi Barry! Great video! Looks like a great pair of monitors! I would LOVE these! I would absolutely use them! Fingers crossed!!! I would be honored to own these!!!
love your reviews and wha ti like the fantastic quality you get out of such cheap monitors, from all the reviews i've seen i like yours alot and i love this monitors from it, i whish i can win them it will make it easier for me to keep producing and moving forward. thank you for doing this!
My son has a pair of these T7V monitors. We tested them beside my KRK Rokit 6" monitors and I was very surprised at the sound. I have to agree with you, for the money, they are some of the best speakers on the market.
We’re the Adams a lot more better than the KRK6 ? I’m thinking of replacing them to Adams. Had these for about 11 years now and my left XLR input is dead.
Those look like a great pair of monitors for the price. I am in need of an upgrade myself (basic computer speakers). Thanks for your thoughts on these.
I would love to have these monitors! I have some really cheap ones, and after spending so much money on a college diploma, I ended up with too little money to invest in a pair of good monitors. I think the twetter from Adam audio would be a great option for those who work for a long time, as the membrane doesn't cause much fatigue in the ears. And it's a great option to start in a studio, because they have a great sound, with great bass and bright top end and pleasant to listen to. I would really like to win them at this give away! Thanks for opening up to do it!
Nice thorough review Barry, I'm really interested in these to find tune the 4k region which my ears hate!! haha...please count me in for the contest!! Looking forward to future content. Happy Halloween!
Your review style is refreshing and is helping me decide between the Adam Ts and the Kali LPs. Thanks! I wonder what the T5(V?) bass response is like...
I like that these have the EQ settings on the back, I find that feature useful on my 5 inch JBLs. It'd be cool to hear and compare the two side by side, especially the bass.
Barry, I own the Adam Audio ARTist Set in 5.1 Config.. That are Home Cinema Speakers, but with the Studio Technic.. They Sound so amazing and powerful.. I can understand you 😊 Lovely greets from Germany
These seem like really solid monitors for anyone. I'd be interested to hear how these would do in higher end studios compared to more expensive monitors. Nevertheless, excellent review, Barry!
He was not kidding even a little bit about how loud these things are. Knew nothing about the speakers and I'm still new to sound engineering. Had them turned up halfway with my monitor all the way up and they just about blew my face off. Then, not realizing that Windows volume doesn't control Ableton nearly blew my face off a second time. That one was more like an extreme jump scare, lol.
I think I already commented on this video when it came out but I didn’t see it. So I’m entering my name into the raffle. You just upped the game! And of course I’m already subscribed..
Impressive back panel for the price. Given the price range and your description of how they sound, it makes me wonder how accurately the monitors mirror a sound source without adding color. Looks like a good offering for the price.
I have been on a set of Kali LP-6s that I love for the price. However with my current setup i do get some comb filtering as a result of reflections from my tweeters coming off of my console. These tweeters seem to help with a lot of that. Id love to hear these in person. They seem to be of tremendous value. Thanks Barry for your review and thorough information!
I am also trying to decide between the LP-6s and these T7Vs. I'm most likely going to end up going with the Adams, the only thing that's holding me back is the rear port vs the front port on the Kali's (smaller room)
Sounds like the T7v monitors that have a wide enough sweet spot for a project studio. Doing projects you often spend more time out of the sweet spot doing everything. Playing, writing, often recording in the same space.
Hi Barry, I have been a subscriber for awhile now. I'm here for the Adam monitors. I could not see how to send a pic of my monitors. KRK Generation 3, 8 inch bass. I love them. They seem to match perfectly with my DT 770 pro cans. I am looking for another source for cross referencing. Hope I'm in time. Keep up the good work.
I think they’re pretty cool for beginners compared to what everyone else is recommending (KRK’s) I think Kali Audio, and Yamaha are next in line when it comes to budget. The sound is open and enjoyable and not as lifeless as Yamaha HS5 . In my opinion
Thanks for the review because it is definitely interesting they have entered this market price point. For the price I feel this is a great investment for my music '. Thanks for your thoughts..I could use some nice monitors as Ive learned using a cheap set of Alesis.
Adam is known for great sound and quality. Thanks for the review because it is definitely interesting they have entered this market price point. My only suggestion would be it would have been awesome if you had played some content or sound samples through them and maybe A/B comparison to your AX7XS just so we could hear the differences in sound.
Now that the price of these have dropped to $199 per speaker which is exactly the price of Kali LP-6 V2, which would you recommend for a home desktop speaker for music and gaming?
Thank you, Barry! One question I have is, I have the Focal Alpha 65 Evos for my primary monitors and I'm quite happy with them. I use the Axe FX XL+ for guitar and bass and have been looking for a second pair of dedicated Axe FX only monitors. Many people on Fractal's forum recommend the A7X for the Axe FX, and now that's changed to A7V's. I cannot afford them. Would the T7V's work well for guitar and bass only, or are there other monitors you think would be a better choice?
Been trying to go 5.1 for some time; (or at least quad; these would a great start in my basement studio. I would think they would be comparable to my Behringer 2301's.
Kali seems to be pushing hard to corner the low price studio monitor market. Comparisons to the Adams seems appropriate since they have a similar look. Seems too good to be true, would love to hear what that low end really sound like on these speakers.
Great review. I’d like to enter the giveaway. I’m glad you included the comparison to your usual monitors. Too many reviews will lie to their viewers about how entry level equipment rivals the more advanced level. I am willing to bet that these are great for the price. I’m venturing into full time audio production after years of “for fun”....
I'm really debating picking these up! How do you think they would work in a smaller room? I can't pull them too far away from the wall due to space issues.
They are great but there is a flaw, They don't get as loud as other monitors depending on the audio interface, even with the gain turned all the way up. I end up with the Kali Audio LP-6 which sounded very similar but better low end.
I'm sold! Edit: I also started looking at the Kali LP8v2. Anyone have a suggestion for thos vs the T7V's? I'm was looking at the Kali's for the 8' inch, which is the same price as the T7V's. Edit 2: Got the TV7's! Love them!
I think it's a nice think you're doing. I wouldn't mind paying for shipping though. I totally know how these things go where you want to do something nice but end up paying even more outnof pocket to do the nice thing you're already doing.
BARRY, I have been on the fence about new monitors because I am broke but I know what I have now is NOT honest or flat & I should replace them to make better decisions. Been looking at Adam, Presonus, & Yamaha. Please enter me into your contest as your review explained a lot to me. I hesitated because of their size thinking that the low end would not be enough for my room. Your excitement over the low end, your repeated ("I was shocked") comments convinced me otherwise. PLEASE enter me so I can be "VIBIING" too!!
Tossing my name in for the giveaway. Could totally make use of these. Already watched the review when you first posted it, but watched again now just to play it safe. Been subbed to your channel for a month or so, but don't share my subscriptions publicly, so you wouldn't have gotten a notification saying "The MeeceKang subscribed to your channel!" Either way... I'm interested and hope I did everything necessary to qualify. 👍👍👍
Thanks for your honest review and for what you do with your channel! I would love to be the winner of this giveaway… keep them honest and have yourself a great day! :)
Hi... Thank you for your info on these monitors. And hey you are not an Old F.... you were vibin', jajajjaa.... Just wanted to mention that because it made me laugh!!! I am very interested on winning as every one here because a friend has some Adams, and they are really awesome. They would help me a bunch to upgrade my studio and final product, so, hope I win...
