LOOOOL Jesusss as soon as i hit play my first thought was "wtf! Peter?" I had to read the comments to see if i was the only one but defenitely im not crazy
Well I was actually searching for a hack for my old Pioneer Stereo with surround sound in my home, but I quite enjoyed watching Peter's presentation. Peter your personality, sense of humour, and tea cup talk was quite refreshing! I'm a stagehand that lives in the U.S. and a lot of roadies are from U.K. so that's why I call your accent "tea cup talk". lol. Thanks for having an awesome sense of humor! (: Now back to figuring out how I can do a hillbilly delux engineering on my stereo myself. That's the only kind of "rigging" I excel at in my line of work. lol. carry on! and take care fine sir! your awesome!!!
Man, Peter Griffin for real! Bloody Hell! LOL...You sir are funny! Neat device and I'm probably 100 sure that the USB port is strictly a power only port for charging. A lot of car stereos today have a USB input located on the back of the car stereo that you can connect this to and it will charge and play audio from.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that more than you can ever know! My mum was on TV all my life. I was first put on camera as a child and did my first bit of radio aged nine. I love doing this stuff and feel a technophillia/phobia that makes my stripe of OCD resonate with urge to know why and then explain in terms that even I can grasp. It's a translation job.
Aww Caroline, thank you so much! I admit that this one is one of the better ones..but oh my there are lots more. I recommend the daft Ann Summers Travel Rabbit clip....
I dont know why but your voice and narration was pleasant and made me really relaxed haha. Good gadgets too, now I just have to figure out how to buy them in Australia.
Oooo I'd really like to try installing these on my 2003 Volkswagen Golf xD Can't afford to buy anything right now though, stupid end of the month bills.
great elegant idea I was doing some research that my grandmother out so she can plug in her phone to listen to music most of the market stuff now as a bunch of wires and cables that you have to connect all over your car nice and simple connect and plug into cigar Outlet brilliant idea
I have an older vehicle, a GMC Sierra 2001 and wanted aux to play music from my phone. To my surprise, all you have to do is buy an FM transmitter from walmart for $20 and set it to a radio frequency like 88.1 FM on both the device and your radio. It works with adequate sound quality if you dont have Aux. Plus you can take hands free calls in older vehicles. Hope i helped out.
I'm assuming it'll be less reliable and probably worse sound quality than an aux one though? I'm trying to figure out how best to go about getting music from my phone in my 2001 car
Kenneth Thomas idk about cheaper but i like Adam's idea better why simply because i don't want a wire and and case and me tuning my radio i had that before and it was so annoying yes Adam's idea is a bit more complex but its easier no wires except the aux cord and i can still charge my phone at the same time also i just bought a Bluetooth transmitter on amazon for 12 bucks and no hands free even in calls =D
+Kenneth Thomas The problem is that you can interfere with radio stations. Someone was broadcasting on 91.7, well, we have a station on 91.7. Also someone was interfering with my station 87.9 (wjra radio) with one of those transmitters. Also the sound quality sucks! Take it from a Audiophile!
ive fitted the phonos you can solder on to wires straight to the stereo speakers lead and they are louder so you can control your output into your amps
I see this is an older video but I hope to hear from you soon, I have a Toyota Camary 2003 I was wondering about the USB port, if I stick a USB drive into the port... Will music from the drive play? Or is it mainly for charging purposes? Would there be any other products available that would have both Auxiliary and USB for playing music. Thank you!
So I have a 2005 Cadillac STS with no aux input and no button on the radio that says aux. i want to get a product like this but without the button is there anyway to even use it? I'd rather not replace the head unit because IMO they are all pretty too over the top but it is really looking like that might be my only option. Any thing that might help?
My car stereo doesn't have a USB input or AUX input. There is a socket extension for AUX input sold but could this device used on my stereo instead? my stereo has an AUX in option. I'm just wondering how the player could read a USB device.
Hi would this kit work for a Vauxhall agila as we’ve just bought a Sony RM-X7BT, the standard Stereo is built in so is this something for the Average car diy guy to fit.
Hi Adam Bobby from South Africa. I have a 2008 Corsa Van with an cd player but no usb or ipod jack. I like the little gadget from incartec but gave up trying to order it through their website. How can I get hold of one? Maybe here in SA? Nice show
Its worth saying, when you mount the bracket, be careful where you put it, because in the event of an accident, it would tear a hole in your leg if you`ve put it in the wrong place.. Also, when you fit it, check theres nothing (like wires or pipes) behind the panel you drill/screw it onto.
For anyone interested in the device that includes both audio and USB in one, I found a link for it here: www.wagneronline.com.au/apusb35e/accessories-socket-replacement-usb/power/automotive/9-9-9090909-9xx1-category/2-969490/3-54524/pd/
what about installing, some how a universal bluetooth device (if there would be available anywhere shuch a thing) into which we might connect our cellphone wirelessly to our vehicle?. ! great video by the way. thanks !
parangarito22 Use an FM transmitter. They are cheap and can be picked up at a drug store or a Target/Walmart. I tried it and you get adequate sound quality. And you can do hands free calls.
+Kenneth Thomas FM transmitters are terrible if you live in a well populated area. I live in a city, with loads of other cities within an hour drive. There are so many radio stations there isn't really any room on the band to use a transmitter reliably. Especially those cheap ones because they are so low powered. They're really low powered because they don't want people having a transmission that interferes with the FM band of other cars.
Just got a mk2.5 focus and the radio only has a 3.5mm aux jack in the glove box. I want to plug in my iPod do think the USB socket would work with the Focus LS RDS (Blaupunkt GPS) radio?
Try Ford Usb Music Box. If you like watch this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wFD8h4s_gKE.html, but first go to www.ford-musicbox.eu to check compatibility. I have the same "glove box" problem(focus mk2 2009),since my car headset visteon 6000 cd has BT only for phone calls, but does not support any music.
Fuck me thats brilliant! Im trying to mount a proper ipod/Ipad charged aux supply line for my clarion rd3 radio device, so i can hookup some decent songs in my lovely 406 ts4. I need a pair of those!
but, but, but how does it plug in to the back of the car stereo. I don't have an xm option but I do have an AUX and it's unfortunately somewhere other than the front of my stereo. I'm new to stereo wiring, at least car stereos, so i do I attach to the back of the radio? I'm assuming that's where it is. Any help would be quite helpful. Thank you.
