I may have unintentionally kept the best for last. The 112 combines a looper and granular engine in one big module. This is the last entry in the playlist.
The 112 will return soon for a dedicated video with some carefully selected samples to play with.

That looks incredible! It looks like something you could easily build a case around. I can't wait to see all the details in a full video.

Thanks, I am really curious to find out what will happen when it's clocked.

I’m pleased to see that you’re happy with this module, it means it must be good! I just ordered mine after looking at almost every grain maker on the market - I think this is the one. And the new time stretch feature is an added bonus I wasn’t expecting!

ADDAC has released a new firmware with more grains too. I'll revisit the module with a dedicated video in 2024. It can do so much more but I need to figure it out first, especially clocked operations.

This is one of my favourite modules, especially being able to change loops and presets via cv. I get lost in it for hours.

I'm so pleased that to see you've got your hands on this module. It was the first one I ever bought, hoping it would be the heart of my system. The bugs required a ton of patience but Addac have remained committed to pushing through fixes and updates. It's been solid and reliable for the past 6 months or so now with no crashes, allowing me to finally realise its potential. I'm glad I stuck with it. Not sure if you were aware, but Addac released another update yesterday, v1.8. Amongst other improvements and features, it doubles the grain count by reducing the loop memory to 3min at 44.1khz. There's a legacy update too if you were happy with the previous grain count/loop. Will look forward to hearing what you do with it the next instalment.

@@CinematicLaboratory Do you still plan on making a more in depth video of this module, assuming it's still got a happy place in your rack. I'd love to see what you get out of it, if so.

sick video as always I've had this module and really enoyed it but I had some serious clicking issues with looper ( it was missing a small attack attack / release enveloppe creating clicks on startpoint ) hope this has been solved. Also I would have love to have at least audio in and out on the module itself because module can't work at all without expander

amazing sounds you are getting out of the 112!! ADDAC makes some proper cool gear!! I just saw in the manual (p.37) you can code your own quantization scales, any number of notes, any cluster of frequencies.... or you can break out of octaves into programmable harmonic ratios..... this thing is a universe in a box...

I think it's time for the feature video. I need to install new firmware and study the manual first, but looking forward to time synced looping and granulating :).

If all goes well, I'll do a deep dive in February with the latest firmware. But first I need a bit of time-off. Just got the flu and I feel terrible.

I’d love to see this video. Hell I’d pay for it. Hopefully this thing is stable now. Just ordered mine. Will have it tomorrow. Please please revisit this, it deserves it. Thank you in advance.

Again, thanks for this series, it belongs in the archive of important eurorack videos. The original recording that you used for this project made me think of a video I once saw where a guy played on fences, or barbed wire, and supposed to be the guy that invented this technique . I could not find it or anything related to this because Google is suicidal or whatever, but here is another video, maybe the same guy? I think I remember that guy to looked more like a hippie... I have had more than a year and have struggled to find the love. Firmware updates early on were Hell and I bricked mine in a botched attempt. They updated the procedure no longer requiring pulling from rack to access Teensy board with USB. I grow frustrated and set it aside trying to evaluate selling it and moving on. Coming back, I now get freeze on boot up if SD card is slotted. Removing it works on powering and then reinserting. I grow so very weary of the growing pains for this otherwise powerful piece of kit. Shall I sell or shall I NO? If I sell there will be trouble If I NO it will be double For Crisssake someone let me know Should I sell or should I NO! Update 11/27/23: Felipe from Tech Support contacted. He suggested removing all SD contents but BANK1. Apparently, this did the trick and it boots as it should. Good customer service after the sale. Guess I'll drive it down the road a few more miles.

So much potential when it was released. Unfortunately, years passed before the firmware was stable. By that time, I had sold it and moved on to the Tasty Chips GR-1.

I don't think you can sell the module in this state. This sounds like a nightmare. Maybe it's time to send your unit to ADDAC. When it works, it works brilliantly. And then decide if it stays or goes :)

Bricked it? I havent even concidered that as a possiblitiy with eurorack. You mean bricked as in totally useless after bricking? And not fixable.

I definitely need to use the Zoia again and learn some more tricks. Last time I used it was a long time ago. If I manage to get something worth sharing, it would be a cool addition to this playlist. Also discovered today that Disting EX also has a very good granular engine with polyphony support. But I'll need to see how I can use midi on it. This list is never going to end :).
