Not sure where I got that from, maybe a passing comment in one of your videos from last year. Great purchase, mate. The Bluesy is an absolute cracking piece. Maybe the black dial fatigue pushed you towards something a bit more fun and cheerful? I own one myself, although the latest 41mm 126613LB. Got it from a local AD in Spain back in 2020. I was wearing it mostly at the weekend at first. Then, it became part of the daily rotation. Recently, I surprised myself wearing it several weeks in a row. There was nothing else I wanted on my wrist. People seem to adore the sunburst effect under the sun, which I appreciate. However, to me, the watch shows its incredible beauty on an overcast day, letting us discover a more intimate and deeper blue dial full of nuances. Makes it look more interesting, almost mysterious. I also love the blue and gold combination. The whole watch feels special to me, it has a strong magnetism about it. Yes, It draws attention alright, which also means I won't be wearing it in Barcelona on short sleeves, if you catch my drift. Wear it in great health, Michael. The two tone is a tough one. It immediately commands attention and sends pretentiousness. I was debating this reference as well, it’s tough if you fly below radar in your lifestyle then break out a Bluesy.
Congrats! I think what you said about the watch journey is spot on. Sometimes you are not in the right space or part of your life and watch journey to really get to enjoy a watch. Sometimes its better to “rediscover” a past love when the time is right, and everything lines up. I think a lot of collectors in this hobby don’t really appreciate and give move value to the aspect of timing and pacing as much as they should. Life reflects art (The same can be applied to watches in a sense). It shows understanding of self when you can understand where you are (life wise) and time the selection of art (watches in this case) that reflect the journey and tastes. Congrats again man!

A beautiful watch Michael 🤩 I purchased a V serial 2009 ‘Bluesy’ this year with the Flat Blue ‘Smurf’ Dial, partially stickered & unworn, from a reputable local 🇬🇧 Ex-Rolex AD (they were the original supplier of the watch who had taken it in part-ex from a regular client of theirs). I prefer the 40mm with gold text to the 41mm with white.
@@SteelmoonWatches I don’t think, as many do, that the ‘bluesie’ is too ‘loud’. It’s had more wrist time than any of my other Rolex watches since I bought it - this would definitely be a keeper if I ever decide to downsize my collection. I wonder sometimes when I was busy chasing the ‘hot’ sports models from AD’s why I didn’t just buy this as a ‘one & done’ when they were readily available. I did eventually get the ‘Hulk’, Pepsi, ‘Batgirl’ & J.Cameron at retail but this is their equal if not better. I enjoy your considered thoughts & opinions👍
Congratulations! Picking up new watch especially at great price. Bluesy has never done it for me, I’ve seen people wearing them and they look nice but every time I try one on it’s not for. May be one day I will feel different about them.

Lovely piece perfectly suits the middle East. In the UK can come across as slightly brash, but as ever all depends on the wearer. I wear a CHNR with the rose PCLs a touch more subtle. All that said I am also considering a hublot 42m all black big bang unico whilst also having a 37mm dress piece in the collection. Moral being - wear what you like:-)
