I bought one of these during the sale and I am absolutely delighted with it. I particularly like this case size and hope Addiesdive produces a version with a sunburst dial. I find the bracelet very good for the price. I also own an AD2123-1 and hope Addiesdive produces a version with applied indices.
I own it and it is phenomenal. The dial is very cool, I'm not sure yet if I'm leaving it on the bracelet or if I am getting some straps, 19mm lug width is a bit of a pain though.
I have been eyeing this off for a month or so now. A couple of days ago I pulled the pin. I am really only interested in the head of the watch as I ordered a 19mm canvas strap. You spec it at 18, I hope it’s 19. After all it’s no money at all.
Good call on the strap, it’s the weak spot. You’re right that the spec on AE says 19mm, I didn’t spot that (like the mineral crystal!) or I would’ve commented, just pulled the watch out with my callipers and I suspect it’s closer to 18mm than 19mm, but doubt that would be problematic with a canvas strap. I’m sure it’ll be fine and I promise to pay more attention next time… thanks for watching, hope it works out ok, let me know?
It's a beautiful watch, a real shame they have such an unfortunate brand name and logo. The only thing missing on the logo is 3 stripes. Someone please brief those chinese aliexpress companies that less is more when it come to a brand name and logo, also avoid un-pronounceable names... Good show friend!
I've always preferred 36 to 38 mm. watches. I think that they wear better. Picked up a new San Martin military dial, similar to this one. Perhaps the Swiss are too overrated.
@@gorillasinthewrist I bought the SN020B. Lovely watch, great detail, no logo on the dial and very very accurate so far. When sitting flat, about 1.5 sec fast/day. I can live with that. Recommended.
It's a love/hate sentiment for me, it has presence but it lacks in personality, it has a classical shape but the crown is so anonymous, it's lovely to see a domed crystal but it's reflective af, the high polished dagger hands look cool but the applied index are anonymous from 70's, the dial is cool if only I could see it properly (is 3d or just a print of sand?), the bracelet is great with an optimus clasp and an overall generic look... Definitely not bad, and a good price. If shipping and taxes includes we have 4 monkeys out of five! 🐒🐒🐒🐒❌
Far as I can see the dial is 3D not printed. I think they are aiming this watch as a vintage take piece. Size, 14,400 bph vk31 all emulate a vintage mechanical. At this price to pick fault is pointless. Finishing is great. AR works on mine with the hands popping as you catch the light doing it's job to show you the time.
I ordered one as well, BUT :) I intend to re-case it, as 36mm is just too small for me. Does anyone maybe have an idea about the actual dial diameter? My money is on 28.5mm, aka the standard Seiko dial size. Is anyone reading this can confirm, that would be appreciated.
haha it surely is a beautiful thang, hell's teeth i got to put limits on this obsessiion, it got out of hand in just a few weeks after the mrs left @@gorillasinthewrist
I bought the blue version and it came broken (still is) and I have open the case back to see the movement and it's not even a real vh31 it's a cheap knock off (the watch looks really really good though)
@@gorillasinthewrist Was it a VH31B not a VH31A or VH31? Because mine was a VH31B and IDK if it’s a real movement but I haven’t been able to find one anywhere online
An applied subtle logo would make a big difference. Also, if they offered it with slightly less dresswatch-type hands and in 39mm (same shape, and most importantly, same overall thickness), I would by a 100 pieces and plaster my walls with it. :)
I am not convinced that subtlety is a brand attribute and I agree a watch in the bigger size would be great, not sold in the wall covering approach… thanks for watching!
