It kind of looks like someone broke it open to look for copper wire to steal, it would explain the other electrical conduit being broken apart with no wires inside too.

12:38 it appears that someone was visited by the "meth fairey" aka some tweaker assumed that grey box = free copper, the pipe was interesting though, pretty cool to see whats inside of the cans that around here they put on the poles for some stupid reason, seems like the way you do it would have been much better with them in the ground, nice and safe, anyways, stay safe man good vid

Yeah I like tossing the big orange fiber optic stickers on the front. Seems to help.

Those vaults are usually fiberglass reinforced nylon or a reinforced HDPE. They are designed to stand up to a pretty decent amount of abuse. But yeah, I love the decision to go with more spacious ones. I hate the things that are so cramped that you can barely move anything in there. Just don’t accidentally drop the lid into the box, they may be plastic, but they can certainly do more damage than you would think.

Thanks for sticking around hopefully we get to a point all our networks can touch.

Seems like it would be hard to break those boxes with a punch without blood getting all over it. My guess is both your box and that pipe was broken by the mowers on a riding mower and clipped it. Happens to A/Cs all the time.

Yeah, those boxes are pretty strong, especially right at the latch where there's all the extra plastic - I'm pretty sure you'd break your hand punching that. Maybe a bat or a crow bar or tire iron or something

Hello, I have always wondered, watching your videos, why there almost eveyrwhere only your cables and enclosures ? Don't tell me there are not another operators :) Here in Bulgaria you open the shaft and you could find cables and enclosures of at least 5 operators.
@briceperdue7587
@briceperdue7587 2 месяца назад
Here everyone uses an aerial DOCSIS 3.1 or a + version qam 256 with an aerial cable. This all goes back to a traditional cable TV headend. If you get 1Gb download you get 35Mb upload because of the modulation on the modem with 3.1 or 4x?

Its the US, building anything new is expensive, and the existing ISPs love to try and push the cable they laid 50 years ago as far as possible rather than run fiber.
@AtanasPaunoff
@AtanasPaunoff 2 месяца назад
@@deepspacecow2644 Yes, this is so silly. I have noticed in many videos that these operators tend to use unneeded expensive equipment as well. To run fiber is way more cheaper and easy than developing and using new and expensive equipment that eventually could bring a new life to the existing lines :)
@hariranormal5584
@hariranormal5584 Месяц назад
@@AtanasPaunoff The same mindset exists in quite a few places. DTAG especially in Germany for example LOVES this. They still reuse old copper again and again thinking it'll last forever. Switzerland in EU(rope) is one of the more fair countries which have a strict policy by the Telecom board there that forces the ISP's to basically use fiber at the very least, no using old copper again and again without a valid reasons. So on the roadmap, almost every house there should have fiber. And on top of that, the fibers themselves can be shared between providers. They have some system that makes it quite easy, and because of all of this you can choose between MANY ISP's, and the rates you can get are very inexpensive while having one of the fastest speed possible (25 Gbit is provided by one ISP there for just as little as 75eur)
@AtanasPaunoff
@AtanasPaunoff Месяц назад
@@hariranormal5584 Are you in Switzerland ? 25 Gbit for 75 Eur is fair price if you ask me. No matter my point of view where I prefer to lay FO cables to the particular point where I could get connectivity from rather than pay for service :) Here in Bulgaria almost everyone prefer to use fiber for the last mile because FTTH cables are much thinner and easier to run either aerial or trough the building conduits. Also most of the companies tend to use PON and it might turn out to be cheaper and here minset is the cheaper the better LOL
