This is my favorite way to use the Cricut pens right now since the kids are writing their xmas thank you cards. The end product is so much more personal than printed labels(although I love those too!). Makes people wonder for a second if you could possibly have impeccable penmanship... hmmmmm =)

I have watched several RU-vid videos trying to figure out how address envelopes. I was frustrated with all of them. Then I came across yours and I was making beautiful envelopes in no time. I even did the writing inside the card. It turned out so classy. I love making cards but my handwriting is atrocious. Thank you for keeping it simple and keeping it strictly DS.

I've had my air 2 for almost 2 years, now and scared to write afraid of messing up lol, like watching your video you make it seem so easy

I was intimidated by the pens at first too. I did a couple of demos and realized it’s actually so easy. Watching the machine writing so perfectly is weirdly satisfying too 😂 You should definitely give it a try!

how did you turn the scoring tool off so it wouldn't score on the envelopes?

When you’re in you canvas in Cricut Design Space make sure that you check all the details on the right hand side. If you have anything on there that says “score” either hide it or delete it. And then click on Make It. On the left side of the screen it should only say “Pen” near the small picture of your mat. Sorry hope this makes sense. I don’t think you can just turn it off. It has to be out of your project before you click Make It.

When I did mine, the pen did not fill in the text. It's just the outline. How do I fix that?

I generally try to use “writing” fonts to avoid that happening. Just go to fonts, select filter and check the box for writing. If there’s a specific font you want to use it is possible to get the letter filled in. For most blocky type lettering using the offset feature but having the offset be on the inside of the letter will usually work. Hope this helps!

This would have been a great video, but the background music is very irritating and competes with the instructions. Since this video was made two years, I am hoping the background singing has been eliminated. Otherwise, I enjoyed watching the instructions, it muted.

Sorry yes I made this video when I first started RU-vid. Hopefully my editing skills have improved since then. Glad you were still able to get the instructions!
