"distract yourself" Yeah, that's what I've been doing all the time. It's called procrastination

My ADHD Anxiety is caused by a non-ceasing hyperactive mind. Even if I am not worried about any one specific thing just the non-stop racing mind makes me anxious. Putting tasks on top of that racing mind shoots my anxiety through the roof. Its different than "normie" anxiety which is a walk in the park as its more easily managed, compared to ADHD.

I have no idea what to do. My anxiety and ADHD are too much too handle. I feel like I can't learn anything. I just get overwhelmed with information if I try to learn how to deal with it. My sleep schedule is really screwed up and I haven't been able to fix it. I never go any help because my mom also has anxiety.

Have you talked to your doctor? I know meds don't work for everyone but for some, it can be a huge relief for both your ADHD and Anxiety.

@@theadhdmind9419 We started trying to get help recently but it's been difficult. We only talked on the phone and not really in person with a doctor. The doctor also said to tell myself when I feel really anxious that "It's just your anxious brain acting up" which actually makes me feel worse. I've been replying that in head head ever since and evey time I'm mad at the doctor for saying it. Today has been especially horrible. I found out we need to go out tomorrow on such short notice and now I feel too anxious and I have no motivation to do anything anything. It's 6pm and I haven eaten "breakfast" yet. I'll probably have to stay up all night in order to be up early enough to go out tomorrow now, and I have to have a shower tomorrow. Idk how I'm going to have a shower when I started up all night.

The clarity this channel has brought to me is amazing and I just want to thank you! ✨ I’m going to go get tested soon so I’m not just self diagnosing but you explain exactly what I’ve been going through for a very long time, both my mom and I, thank you! My teacher once told me I might have ADHD in kindergarten but it was never talked about again. I am now 20 years old and I likely have ADHD the inattentive type. 💗

I usually have self-criticism quite a lot whenever I have difficulty with committing to a task or a role (probably bcause of adhd) is this secondary anxiety? And how to process this feeling
@theadhdmind9419
@theadhdmind9419 3 года назад
If you find that most of your anxiety results from your daily struggles with ADHD then your anxiety is most likely a secondary issue to your ADHD. Once your ADHD is properly managed, most of these anxiety symptoms will go away on its own. As for the self-criticism, I find that self compassion and therapies would be really helpful. Hope that helps! :)

Tha k you so much for all your videos, it enlightens me about ADHD, I have a quastions please, my boyfriend has ADHD and everytinme he gets mad with out thinking or realizing first what I have said, it took him a month or more than that to talk to me again, is is normal?
@theadhdmind9419
@theadhdmind9419 2 года назад
You're welcome! Glad they are helpful to you :) About your question, it might be an ADHD thing or might not. It might be just his temperament, once he's upset about something, it might take him longer than an average person to get over it. It's not necessarily due to ADHD. Maybe you could have a talk with him to figure out reasons behind it?

Did you talk to your doctor about it? He/She may be able to suggest the best treatment plan if your anxiety and ADHD are so severe. I hope you'll find something that works for you.

Yeah! Definitly not easy dude.. I'm dominant inattentive type or sometimes combine.. and fortunately this month is the first time I've been treated to a psychiatrist and given two kinds of drugs which is every medicine for focus and anxiety as well.. Btw being one of the people of this case doesn't make me regret it either coz I learned to never underestimate anyone and respect others ❤ and I really enjoy the process of how it feels ❤ to be belittled until I can develop to be even better. Thanks :) ❤

I'm glad that you finally got treatment! And I agree, once we're going through struggles like these, we tend to have more empathy and compassion for others because we've been there! And we know how terrible it feels sometimes.
