🚨 Deep comment alert 🚨 The song they use at 0:23 in the intro is such a synonymous piece of art with SuperMega themselves. They’ve used it for so long and, in my opinion, completely branded themselves with that sort of “sound” unlike any other content creators. I remember Matt actually talking about it, himself, in an old episode of the SuperMegaCast. Talking about how much that song means to him and SuperMega. And then they used it last year when they uploaded their hiatus update, which consisted of nothing but text and THAT song playing. And hearing it then, made me so emotional and legitimately sad because a song I associate with happiness and the Funny Brothers and just nostalgia in general was playing during a very confusing and uncertain time when we didn’t know if the Boys were going to come back EVER. BUT! Alas ye mateys! They did return! And they did it in perfect execution, given all of the circumstances and the it true fanbase welcomed them back with open loving arms. So basically what I’m saying is, hearing that song play in the intro of the new podcast is so satisfying and reassuring to hear. It’s just like such a personal W (😂) in my heart. I love y’all boys. I downloaded it as an alarm so it 100% rings true with connecting it to earlier supermega and those times, but I also have a visceral reaction because it’s been waking me up for a year 😂

31:37 the game Matt is talking about is Defend Your Castle. It was a WiiWare game. Because the Wii servers dont exist anymore, you would need a moded Wii to install it. Depending on the hadware one already has, it would likely be easiest to use Dolphin and conmect a wii bar and wiimote. It seems like there is a Switch port of the game but it seems like it only supports handheld mode.

Something similar to a diplomacy sim is a game I used to play back in middle-school called Nation States. There's no real gameplay to it other than reading and making choices, but it's pretty fun if you're interested in that kind of thing

The rich asshole in Matt’s spot reminded me of a story I heard about my grandma, by all accounts a sweet lady, someone parked where she couldn’t get in her car and she put a cigarette out on the soft top of the convertible and dumped her ashtray on/in the car, along with a bunch of misc trash she had on hand. Also keyed it. She apparently went ballistic on this car, and it was so out of character, she was SO nice in almost every other instance I’ve heard or experienced but she went apeshit on that convertible and then dipped
